Ya but that wouldn't make for a very good debate. I imagine Drai is gonna get very paid. Probably the richest contract in the league. My hope is that maybe McDavid pulls the Sidney Crosby thing, and gives us a bit of a hometown discount to give the team enough space to surround him with a winning formula.

I disagree. Making back to back Finals only happens in the East, not the West. Florida, Tampa and Pittsburgh have done it in the past decade. Edmonton will be strong but ill bet money they don't make the Finals next year. The year after I could see them making it and eventually winning it too
