i don't mind Anjanath returning, i'm the type of player who would love if every monster in the series could return in WILDS like something similar to GENERATIONS ULTIMATE.
@@RathalosWatch Gigginox, Qurupeco, Dalamadur, Great Jaggi/Wroggi/Baggi, Gobul, Hypnocatrice, Shah Dalamadur, Ceadeus and Jhen/Dahren Mohran All missing monsters I know
Absolutely should return. Anjanath is such a polished, grounded, and fun monster that could fit easily into any future titles. Not to mention his gorgeous armor and weapons. Truly a modern classic
I think he could work as a rathalos type monster where he's in every game since his debut, he's not too crazy, more grounded in reality and a solid early to mid game monster. Also fulgur is my favorite subspecies
I too particularly enjoy using a hammer to repeatedly strike him on the head and while he was in both world and rise, I do agree that Anjanath fits the aesthetic of wilds. I think that Anjanath shouldn’t have been in rise just so he could be in wilds without having a monster 3 games in a row.
@Siege066 Yeah, idk why they put him into Rise and Sunbreak. They should put another older monster or something new. It wasn't really necessary. Maybe because they wanted their Nintendo fans to experience him? Although, his a complete joke in Rise just like most monsters imo.
Yeah I agree. However, there is a chance of Capcom wanting him to take a break after a whole 6 years of fame and spotlight, but my thing is that I feel that he is too perfect for Wilds to miss out.
I also think a fire monster in the plains would work wonders with the new terrain deforming, his fiery breath could melt the sand into a more solid surface that only goes away when sand blows over it in the storms. I also really like how fulgur basically got his own mini video in this, although I much prefer regular anji since I find him harder personally.
@mrgomer64 I enjoy Fulgur because of the challenge more. I prefer challenging monsters. And yeah, fire monster would be good for Windward Plains to contrast with the Thunder Rey Dau.
@@RathalosWatch yeah, plus he was really loved in both world and rise, I don't see anyone complaining if they bring him back. Him and nergi is propuply the only ones I really really want from world if imma be honest
@@RathalosWatch I just find fulgur to be a real pushover at the point you fight him, whereas angi was always placed quite early, so you didn't really have any good gear to make the fight easier.
world was my first MH and Anjanath was my first wall. HE had attacks that were strong enough that you MUST dodge them. A huge learning curve was that fight.
also teaches you monsters will take opportunities to combo you, go for one attack then he'll 180 and do his big fire stream attack that's almost guaranteed to kill you at LR.
@RathalosWatch I'm all for large monsters launching you by making the smallest contact. But as is if you are under his tail, that counts as being in his way. No contact should not be able to cause damage. It is very hard to work around move sets that have hitboxes that aren't defined by the visual aspect of the monster. And it isn't a tremor effect. It is literally being hit by the monster. It's like they drew a big rectangle around his body and said this is the surface area of the monster for this attack.
I can’t help wonder why does Capcom think giving any Monsters with wings Hipcheck attacks I mean cmon you can’t expect to think it’s a good idea, I just think creatures with no wings and are bulky like Brute Wyverns in general and Zinogre make more sense but something like a Bazelgeuse who has wings are used for flight yeah I’m sorry but no, to me it’s just cringe.
Another point that anjanath is so loved by both capcom and community that it was the only world monster that was added in Stories 2 to have both its bases spieces and the its subpieces fulgur. No coral puki-puki, no viper tobi, no shrieking legiana. Just anjanath.
@@RathalosWatch hmm i hate jyra, beo and legi but like their armour, and i love tobi design but hate its armour. I wouldn’t mind them not returning. Odoggo, bazel, namielle, and anjanath and fulgur anja should be a mh standard now though, sick design, sick fight, sick armour, sick weapons, or good at least.
While anjanath would fit perfectly in the scarlet forest, i personally want a new brute wyvern. With the new monster design style im curious to see how they could add some new flair to the brutes.
I kinda hope he does, and if it was a debate between base or fulgar, bring fulgar, he is the more appealing monster and can help fill out frozen area monsters whereas fire monsters are a dime a dozen. Although on a separate note, why can't there be multiple apex predators. Pretty sure Anjanath is considered an apex now. Like Diablos being the apex during clear weather, and then Rai Dau being the apex during the storms.
As much as I like Anjanath, I feel like we seen to much of him at this point. He debuted in World, came back in Iceborne, then he was in Rise and Sunbreak, and he's even in the MH Now mobile game. Imo, I think he should take a break and sit this one out. As a 5th gen hunter (started with Rise, then played World) I would like to see some of the old brute wyverns from the old games make a return, or better yet make a new one for the game.
Honestly im so surprised that Anjanath wasn't an OG monster. It fits the game so well and the mechanics of the fight are great fun. Perfect blend of realism and fantasy imo
he also showed up in Stories 2. Clearly he's left quite an impression on people to keep coming back! I personally would like to see him again but maybe change his behavior a little bit like Rise did. Since the game is more wide open with what appears to be a more arid climate, maybe have his sails out more often as a way to regulate body temperature, maybe that would influence his use of fire attacks.
I don't want Anjanath to return because I am hoping Wilds will continue World's trend of an ecology focus instead of throwing that out the window like in Rise, meaning few to no New World species until post-game.
@thenerdbeast7375 Rise threw it out of the window because it was an experimental game made by Capcom's mobile team that is separate from the main Monster Hunter team. And that team likes to try new things because the budget is lower and has fewer risks if it fails
@@thenerdbeast7375 If Anjanath doesn't appear in the base version of Wilds then it is possible for him to appear in an expansion as you've said, but I don't know if they want to make him a Master Rank only monster. Anjanath was the first monster introduced to World and showcased the new Turf War mechanic in World for Gen 5. Doshaguma was the first monster introduced to Wilds and showcased the new Herd mechanic in Wilds for Gen 6 Kind of interesting how both of these monsters are marketing and also showcasing new mechanics for their respective title.
@@RathalosWatch also I don't buy the mobile team excuse, they could have used exclusively old world species besides new monsters, maybe have a similar roster to Portable 3rd due to Kamura's close proximity to Yukumo. This also could have served as a soft reboot since Portable 3rd never saw worldwide release and remained Japan exclusive. Just because it is a mobile title doesn't mean it couldn't be improved
@@thenerdbeast7375 improved in what sense? Gameplay or visually? Nintendo Switch is ancient hardware my dude, there was no room for improvement in any of the departments due to limited hardware. So instead, they opted for some new stuff like wirebugs, faster paced combat, switch skills, basically The visuals of Rise looked worse and had a cartoony art-style for one. 2nd the game was also inferior in combat in every possible way, too fast and arcade-like. Even the older titles like MH3U, MHFU, MH4U which were also mobile had better combat if you ask me and more slower paced to what MH is usually akin too. Rise was a tiktok zoomer ADHD experiment. The only improvement rise and Sunbreak had was the monster roster. World's monsters for the most part were terrible, especially base World.
I personally think Anjanath should be put on the shelf for a little while. He was fun to fight for a while in both World and Rise but like Glavenous and Zinogre I think they need a break to give other monsters a chance to appear.
@xscignorethestuffinquotes7487 thanks! If you enjoyed the video make sure to like it and subscribe as well, it really helps out friend. Also we have an awesome discord community so come say hi and chat with fellow hunters about MH Wilds! discord.gg/KdZxZrxy
I wouldn't hate if it anjanath was a staple monster, in more games, but I also wouldn't mind it at all if he got a break. Doesn't have to be the entire generation, he can sit out for Wilds and be back in the portable release. The fight was a lot better in Rise, with him actually able to power up and use his fire faster and more frequently along with a couple new moves. You also see anjanath in the start of the game, attacking a great jagras before you even enter the town. In fact that's the set piece you encounter just before entering town. You are suppose to run into the village but you can just kind of stay there and watch anjanath abuse the poor great jagras and take some screenshots lol. Many 5th fleet hunters had anjanath as their first wall or speed bump, like kut ku was for 1st fleeters. For me, he did kick my ass the first quest I tried but then I realized that we had a food system that could give you 50% more HP then he was easy enough and I also knew the moveset more the second time. The subspeceis is really cool but he does also suffer from the same issue as the base monster where you may only see his big move once in a hunt, sometimes not even once, which is a shame becasue it's such a cool move. Fulgor's other moveset alterations are rather nice though.
Ah yes my favorite Brute wyvern. Anjanath brings nostalgia not just for world but also since I was super into dinosaurs as a kid and he’s one of the monsters that scratches that itch. I also LOVE is ecology, sound design, and fight (simple yet effective)
Anjanath is easily one of my favourite monster designs and i hope he becomes a staple in the series. I think Anjanath serves as the perfect highpoint or introduction for new players to introduce them into the "real game", so I can understand capcom maybe giving him a rest to allow another monster to shine in his place. If that happens, I hope that at least Fulgur comes back because that was a 10/10 monster imo.
Anja is my favorite monster, I need him to come back with a Variant that really pushes him to the max in a similar way that Raging Brachydios does to standard Brachy
I would like Anjanath to return, I enjoyed his fights, nothing crazy but fun. I really like the design, especially the Fulgur Anjanath. Anjanath had some crazy monster sounds too, I remember hearing him off in the distance and what not in World! Especially if you have on a good headset or a good surround sound setup. What I really wish for Wilds is that for this release we see the largest monster list to date lol! We shall see!!
@@RathalosWatchI’m glad to hear that! I also want to say, coming from the old games, and playing on PC for World and Rise, what a treat it is to see capcom go the extra mile for the monster designs. The graphics on PC really show, freakin awesome! Can’t wait to see how they look on Wilds!!
@@TBr0III Absolutely! I've built a very powerful PC back in summer of 2023 with a RTX 4090 and I have yet to really play a game that I want to enjoy on my PC that looks really good. I mostly play World of Warcraft and that's it. I've built the PC for work purposes and video production and stuff like rendering so the gaming stuff is just a bonus. Monster Hunter Wilds will be a game that I am going to double dip for both PS5 and PC. I cannot wait too see what this game looks and feels like running at 4K and 120 FPS. I need to see Congalala's farts at high fidelity and my life will be complete.
I think they did that to cement it's pecking order as something that can both punch up and down. No one's gonna believe it's a contender for an area if it's being fought when you fight bears and bird wyverns.
While RISE is one of my favorite games in the series 🎮, I need to talk about Rise’s monster roster. It felt like they went against the canon by introducing “New-world monsters” 🤔. The inclusion of new-world monsters without proper context can affect the immersion and overall gameplay experience. It feels disjointed when the lore isn’t totally respected.😐 Some monsters like the “rare” Tobi-kadachi and the new-world Nargacuga “variation” show up without valid in-world explanations 🌍. Rise takes place in the Old-world. I was hoping for more Old-World monsters in Sunbreak. Sunbreak remade three Old maps, but didn’t include all the monsters from these maps. While I appreciate the introduction of new monsters, I believe there should be a better balance between new and old monsters to maintain the series’ lore and continuity 🌍. While there are in-world explanations for some exclusions, like maybe the Kamura or Elgado hunters just aren't assigned to face these monsters, it feels more like an excuse since there is no in-world explanation 🤦♂️🧐. For example, Espinas is in The Jungle but Velocidrome isn’t??? To be frank, I didn’t like how Rise handled its Monster roster. Despite these issues, I still have a lot of fun with the game. Some of my favorite moments come from battling the unique monsters introduced in Rise. 💖
Rise is a good game on its own, but I didn't find it as a true monster hunter experience. It was too fast paced, way too easy, held your hand 24/7 and had to many mechanics that just made the overalled difficulty feel dumbed down. I still enjoyed it though for what it was.
@@RathalosWatch 🤣🤣 Definitely true. Tbh, I'm a 5th gen. I haven't been here throughout the ages and I haven't experienced every single game, but I have devoted a lot to understanding Monster Hunter and its world, its stories, its multiple series and gimmicks (technically mostly from watching RU-vid 🙃). This is just a theory, and I'm probably wrong in some shape or form, but I think Rise missed out in terms of making players feel *as INVESTED* . I can't go into excruciating detail in a RU-vid comment unfortunately though 🙍🏻.
Honestly, I'm glad *and surprised* you read through my massive comment.😁 I've been binge watching through your content, and I've gotta say, I'm impressed. I'll definitely be subscribed and look forward to what else you make.👍🏻
i love Anjanath he is my top 3 monster, but as much as i want to see him in, give the dude a little break, let him be exclusive to the new world (lets ignore rise that game was weird)
I don't care if anjanath comes back but i do want it's sub species fulgar anjanath to appear in wild that armor color looks cool and it's fight is not bad love how it charges it's self up when enraged
Honestly no. I hope no monsters from World return just because I’ve hunted them to death. Plus Anjanath has been featured in both World and Rise. Give the spots to some monsters we haven’t seen for a while.
Before I watch, I'm going to answer the question. Yes. Mostly because of focus and slugger being on the same set, but also because it's a cool monster.
I have a couple thoughts on Anjanath in wilds, but short answer yeah I'd be happy for him to return, I won't cry if he isn't in but il be happy if he is Now for the thoughts First is I think Anjanath would be perfact for the windword plains as Savana esc map and I'm sure he'd find a place in the scarlet forest The second one is he's one of the monsters I felt shouldn't be in rise along side all the other original world monsters with the exception of Bazelgeuse, velkhana and nergigante, because rise is a old world and Anjanath was a new world monster so It didn't make sense and I like good world building, however if we are gonna throw that aspect out and just bring new world monsters back regardless I'd like to see Anjanath become part of what I call the core cast, hopefully this go around they can decide on how strong they acutaly want him to be cuz they seem to have had problems with that in 5th gen I'd also love to see fulger Anjanath back but this time as a artic exclusive rather then a Invader, along side banbaro it was painful to see him outside the hoarfrost
Anjanath is one of my favorite 5th gen monsters alongside Fulgur anjanath having a sick roar but ultimately I would say no as it was already in Rise as well. If they were to put anjanath in Id prefer to see Fulgur subspecies over the base anjanath
If I could, I'd replace Anja with Fulger. We already got a fire dino with best boy Glavenus. Fulger Anja is just more unique and there's already too many fire monsters.
Only if the jackass doesn't roar 4 to 5 times in a row like in world when it's not the main target. Seriously... 1. Enter area & bumped but not aggroed? Roar. 2. Accidentally hit by a party member? Roar. 3. Start turf war? Roar. 4. End a turf war? Roar. 5. Exit the area? Roar. BONUS! CAUSE FUCK IT! Somehow get enraged while in area? ROAAAAR. My god I hate World Anja's AI. LUL
I think I prefer worlds anjanath over rises version of him. felt way too powerful for a monster that’s weaker than Rathalos. also deviljho must be in wilds. Then a new variant/subspecies of deviljho for master rank when the dlc comes out
Nergigante is welcome to come in. Magnamelo however, can stay away as far as possible. He doesn't fit the aesthetic of wilds at all. He looks like some weird ass blazing samurai dog, way out of place and will ruin immersion, no thanks lol.
@@bluefiredemon448 How? Magnamelo doesn't look remotely grounded or somewhat believable for the vibes of Wilds. Rise was much more of a fantasy themed game.
@RathalosWatch let me try to convince you. so please be open minded (pretty please 🥺👉🏿👈🏿) Magnamalo in design is close to our fav doggo Zinogre. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qKkpO2ecyCY.htmlsi=lZKKFYgZ_CalEdcC 2. The new local scarlet Forrest Iooks the perfect place imo. Especially at 0:18 looks like a boss intro from sekiro. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--ulALxDRAks.htmlsi=mSt0lV4x8oVp2k4U 3. Moves. Correct me if I'm wrong but the mobile game (yeah yeah I already see you roll your eyes) is a slower paced game then rise. Mag is comming this month so hopefully we can see how the moveset looks like in slower gameplay.
@@bluefiredemon448 Zinogre needs to take a big break from Monster Hunter. His way too popular and overrated if you ask me, What does Sekiro has to do with Magnamelo or Monster Hunter ??? Mag is coming this month, what are you talking about? I am so confused.
I hope they bring in a new brute wyvern in wilds. Its shame rise never added a new one especially with the lack of devilijho in rise. Hope wilds bring back anjanath and devilijho but also ads a brand new one. Maby it could be a pack hunter like the Doshaguma to set it apart from the other brute wyverns.
You are factually incorrect - just checked the official website of Monster Hunter World and here is the quote about Diablos "Diablos The apex monster of the Wildspire Waste. A menacing, territorial beast that lurks underground. Loud noises will cause it to lunge out of the sand in search of prey." Here is the link - www.monsterhunter.com/world/us/sp/ecosystem/02_05.php
Well, herbivores are more than capable of eating meat and will do so when given a chance. Diablos primarily eats cactus but is highly territorial to the point of killing anything it encounters. And a monster this powerful, active, and living in a harsh climate will definitely eat from the carcasses of what it kills for calcium and extra protein.
@@RathalosWatch we don't, but since his apearence, he has apeared in every single game as far as im aware, World, Rise, Stories 2, Now, maybe he even apeared in riders I'm not sure, so yeah, bug chances of his comeback but I hope not since I've never been the biggest fan of him
I found the anjananth quite frankly a pretty bland fight, the fulgur anjanath only doubled down on my opinions on it, due to it being one of the main selling point monsters for MH World, I think it probably stays in World.
@@RathalosWatch feel like they’re going to want to show new and old monsters. Anjanath isn’t old enough like a lot of monsters are from MHU or MH3 and he’s new but not brand new 🤷🏻♂️

We need a brachydios variant that ran out of slime and uses something from the wilds environment to punch instead like conductive minerals or something so it can zap stuff
Haven't seen the video yet: Fuck no, there's no aspect in which its good enough to deserve it. Saw the video: Still no, he's alright but I'd rather see another iteration on the concept of "realistic T-rex". The design is alright but I think it can still get some improvement and the fight never felt particularly challenging or memorable enough to make him deserving to become a regularly returning monster.
I really like Anjanath's design, but no, he shouldn't come back, he already appeared in two games in a row, and I don't know what's wrong with the fans in the comments, if it were up to them they would recycle all the monsters into wilds
