When you say Valstrax, you mean the OG one? Because as someone who’s only played Rise so far, I wanna see the OG one in HD open world with some moves from Crimson Glow Also I agree with all your other points for him
@@somebodyanonymous4608 It depends how far they want to take that joke. Plesioth armor has now waist part and in Stories the hip attack was its finisher. They might still keep it as its strongest attack, but they will increase range and shrink the hitbox
@@anomalocaris2593 All jokes aside, I kinda don't want them to shrink Plesioth. In 3U, I practiced him enough that I could reliably snipe his head with Hammer despite how large he was. I feel like his silly size is his... charm point? To me, he's like the frozen Speartuna GS.
Maybe it's just purist brainrot but Plesioth being annoying and awkward is half of the point to me. Having it be so stupid to fight in the ways ot does so is it's strong point and helps it stand out.
I dunno man, your video was good enough that I'l give it engagement, but I disagree with a lot of this. For starters, denying a monster just because it isn't aesthetically beautiful or enjoyable to fight to you. Not only does this deny them the chance to get better, I think needing every monster to be an impressive fight would be detrimental to the game. Having a couple of them be a little awkward or boring will let other monsters shine more, and some people enjoy em regardless. Except Yian- Kut-Ku that shouldn't exist. Monsters shouldn't be kept out just because they were in world or wilds. Tzitzi especially, why do you hate the *one* good flash monster? Would you rather they put gypceros in to fill that *again?*? I can kind of let Aksonom catching a shot there go since it *was* just in rise, but they also really underutilised it there and I thought it was a great monster with cool gear. Point stands either way that being new shouldn't be such an issue when other things are oversaturated. There's missed opportunities to rework old fights in interesting was with the massive change in gameplay since world, stuff like Dalamadur and Dire Miralis, or Yama Tsukami should be goven another shot. Not *just* the same couple fan favourites.
I really disagree with your point about Gravios. I think with the new smoother combat the idea of fighting a massive slow moving golem of a monster would be exiting and satisfying to finally pierce it's armor. I do agree that black Gravios sucks, but name me 5 subspecies before 3rd gen that were exiting and good. Also don't you dare to insult the chaddest and the raddest monster the Wolf Wyvern
I might be in the minority here but I think White Monoblos kinda rules. ...And that's the only cool pre-3rd-gen subspecies I can think of off the top of my head, except *maybe* Furious Rajang.
@@pcport2698 Well I had Furious Rajang, Crimson Fatalis, Rusted Kushala Daora, and Lunastra. White Monoblos just has that " Different color, therefore stronger" that plagued the subspecies of pre 3 monster hunter
Monsters i would love to have back -Gore/shagaru magala -Lagiacrus -Agnaktor (get that lavasioth shit outta here) - Kecha wacha (I don't exactly know why but i remember him fondly) -great wroggy (i LOVED the gunslinger looking armor... So freakig cool)
the #1 don’t want point is kind of a moot point when you consider there’s *always* at least some monsters from the previous gen that return, almost always including the portable flagship- and they almost always get some kind of variant too tigrex/nargacuga in gen 3 w/ lucent nargacuga (can’t remember when brute tigrex came, and molten was 4) zinogre in gen 4 with thunderlord and Stygian glavenus in world with acidic not to mention the revamped icons for magnamalo and aknosom in MH now, makes me think there’s a very good chance of them returning
Too much bloat for something that isn't a Generations-Style title and even the last one of those didn't do it. Ditto, from what I recall. Agreed Agreed I'd rather we just went back to the one camp system, but honestly I think no loading zones has had a worse effect than extra camps and fast travel. The camps were even pretty well handled in rise atleast, been too long since I played world to recall that.
@@matteoceleste4406 Sure it does. It doesn't seem intuitive I admit, but making things like whetstones more convenient has pretty badly damaged parts of the experience. Monster hunter is like, half Hunting Monsters and half *preparing* to hunt them. Inventory management is part of that which invinitely re-usable tools that don't take up slots have diluted heavily.
It's called quality of life. I played mh4u and 3u before world and I hated collecting whetstones. I get the preparing for a hunt but collecting whetstones? Seriously? Where's the fun in that? Where's the preparation in just going to a node and clicking a multiple times till you're done? Fucking eltitists
9:09 I think every monster should return. Give us 4 sunbreak/iceborn level dlcs that each add like 70 monsters. Add EVERYTHING. Have a game based off the first generation. The second The third and fourth Each one getting the respective lists Three would get great Jaggi and alatreon and everything between
Hey don't disrespect my boy crackhead chicken like that, he's cool and his fight in Freedom Unite might be pain at first but after a few attempts he (almost) becomes easy and enjoyable. The armor and weapons are great too
Your Number one spot for Don't want is hypocritical given you want Dodogama AND Namile, if it was just Dodogama or Namile it would make sense Me personally, I don't want any World/Rise monsters, because they should be New World Monsters, they are cool because they are in their own region Gore Magala as most wanted is Based and I agree
@@ChaoticFrenziedStar ahhh, I made an exception for dodogama, and when I say world I mean like not including iceborne cause I’ve played less iceborne and those monsters are less saturated to me Gore Magala supremacy
@@lordfrogkingofkings2533 That's definitely fair, Dodogama/The Other Great Modeled Monsters would be welcomed just because all the other great monsters are just the Velocidrome with different status effects. PRAISE THE FRENZY
Rise is not a great Monster Hunter entry, and it drags even the okay-good parts down. Its a continuation of world's damage to the formula. I do hope Magnamalo is put in more games, but I'd be fine woth it skipping a gen since it was just in Rise.
@@tidalgrunt6549 according to you it's not a good entree. (Not a aggressive tone btw sorry if it comes over like that) -I mean we have a dog variant that is nr 1 -Rocket engine dragon -Mike Tyson -Goku -Great sword And nobody hates them on top of that everyone minus valstrax was in world and recieved well. Zinogre was in every game I heard since he released. Velkhana joined rise and he was so as you said released in the game before him. The only thing they have to do is change mags design into wilds art style like zin and he could easily fit.
To be clear I'm not saying Magnamalo *should* skip a generation, just that I'd be fine with it. And rise is definitely an okay game. The fact that it took me more or less burning myself out in late sunbreak via qurio crafting to stop playing it is evidence enough that it's a positive 6/10 in my eyes. The issue is a lot of the more fundamental gameplay changes, wether original to rise or carried over. Things like having infinite bug nets/pickaxes/whetstones on you at all times, and the ibcreases in hunter mobility when using items. Inventory management being far less present due to many consumable items being far less important. The effects of no loading-zones on the visual design and feel of maps.
You would think so yes, and it is more convenient to not have to stock up on these things, carry them in your inventory, etc etc... but in a way thats the problem. A large part of monster hunter isn't the hubts themselves, but preparing for them. A lot of the QoL changes in more recent games aren't so much QoL as they are a direct phasing out of Inventory Management. You don't have to put consideration into what items to bring, or if you should even bring the materials to craft more when you run out because if you do need something you can go back to camp and grab some out of your box. Its all small stuff that adds up until it takes a lot out of the experience as a whole.
I just hope they don'[t bring baroth again. Annoying armor that makes you bounce off so easy. Ugly armor. Skills only good for shield weapons (and even there it ain't perfect). Basicly a budget diablos.
