Brexit was absolutely necessary so that the City of London could avoid the new “anti tax-haven” legislation from Europe and continue to be the money laundering, tax avoiding, black money capital of the world. I know we like to think of immigrants and African countries as corrupt and underhand, but take a peek at the City of London’s dealings and you’ll learn the true meaning of those terms.

The UK is committing suicide because of arrogance, xenophobia, nationalism and isolationism and these ideologies are killers of a nation because they are uncompatible with the real world. Any successful business emphasises on synergy, cooperation and partnership. If the Brits were smart enough they should have refrained from ideology and emotions but focus on rationality and common sense.

The sane says not to let in immigrants and ban Islam! The other countries of Europe are doing the same, they are increasingly anti-immigration and especially anti-Islam, but unfortunately it has not been banned yet. It is not xenophobia that better countries protect themselves from the destruction of inferior cultures. This is what everyone thinks, regardless of the political side, 90% of society agrees. For example, I am an enlightened liberal, not a leftist, but the majority of leftists would also agree. In addition, your operations have been quite disastrous lately. At the moment, you would only hinder the EU, I feel, replace your party and pursue a more normal policy where you don't imprison animal and environmentalists or anyone who protests because it's a dictatorship!

@Zockblatt Shickleblender You do understand, that it is faceless bureaucrats in the UK government, who randomly put EU law back into the UK’s legal framework with very little oversight by the commons?!? Thanks the Tories for pulling the laws they like out of their arses, while dropping consumer protection and workers rights. I mean the democratic deficit of the EU pales when compared to a country of several nations that get dominated by the largest part without a veto or even a seat at the table, where the head of state is a monarch, the upper chamber is unelected and unaccountable and the lower chamber is elected by an FPP, electoral system where regularly a 35% of the vote leads to an absolute majority. But who cares. We don’t even have a seat at the table to obstruct and delay European politics, so like Switzerland we are now rule takers, if we want to keep at least a minimum of trade.

However please don't let me dissuade you from your squealing which is music to the ears of those that ground you federalists under their heel not just once or twice, but four times on the trot-or should I say trotter? The more you squeal and stamp your little trotters, the sweeter you make the schadenfreude of those that defeated you, but don't give up, I'm sure you can bully threaten or intimidate poor little dead-sheep Starmer into including a commitment to re-accession in the next runt(labour)suicide note or manifesto as you runts call it. No, because the heavily skewed 'right wing' media insured that crucial information that would have led to a much more nuanced and balanced debate was deliberately obscured, and held back. They were hell bent on getting their warped message through to the British public about how terrible the EU was, that they chose to leave out all the good that came from being members of it. The likes of the Express, and Mail have alot to answer for here. Add to this, the Remain campaign was too negative and angst ridden. It was all 'if we leave, then we won't have this and this' (though they were absolutely right). What they should have done instead was take a much more positive approach, along the lines of 'look what the EU has given us'.....'as a country the EU has enabled us to do this, this, and this'.....and 'we were only able to do this through being in the EU....had we never joined, then we wouldn't have been able to do x'.

@Zockblatt Shickleblender complete nonsense . Nothing was paid . It was a loan , relayed by Ford in orderformulier realize a cost cutting and consolidation exercise . The loan was part of Fords 600 million pound investment plan ( the UK provided money too by the way ). Asks yourselves why Ford embarked on this restructuring ? The were making continuous loss partly because of the low productivity . In the industrialized world , the UK is one of the countries with reduced productivity since quite some time ( in particular compared to France and Germany). The loan from the European Bank was very cheap . You blame the EU but in reality it was the low productivity of the UK plant that caused the job loss . The UK member of the bank , George Osborne , backed the loan . Ultimately the loan enabled Ford to keep other operations in the UK open resulting still in more than 8000 jobs . Without the restructuring … who would know . Maybe nobody would work in the UK. The tabloids sold it as a malicious move of the EU towards Britain . And you swallowed it . Without questioning , investigating or anything . Let me also remind you it was the Uk who begged Europe to become a member , but DeGaulle refused twice . They begged because they were the “ sick man of Europe”. Pretty much like now .

I’ll tell you who voted for the EU referendum, it was Remainers who carried it through and with a massive majority. You can easily check the figures. I’ll round the figures up/down to make them more easily digestible but if we say there are 650 mp’s then 550 voted in favour of letting the people have a referendum, 50 voted against and 50 abstained. It was never just “advisory”. We didn’t all turn out to the polling station, in record numbers, just to take part in a survey. David Cameron said it was a once in a generation referendum and when the decision to leave the EU was announced, he resigned because he didn’t want to be the PM who took us out. If the referendum had been “advisory” he could have just ignored the result. The day after the result was known, the very same Remainer MP’s who voted to let us have the referendum immediately began the campaign to overturn it. Never before in the history of UK democracy has that happened. Just to compound the trashing of democracy, 3 UK Remain supporting politicians (including Nick Clegg) went over to Brussels to “have a word” with EU leaders. You couldn’t make it up but many people (in the six years since) have conveniently forgotten all that.

Harold Wilson's referendum also kept quiet about the real reason for the EEC so we have been misled from the start. I think it would be very interesting if we had not joined and the ability to guide our own destiny instead of being linked to a protectionist and inward looking governance? Yes because your fellow parliamentarians voted to allow the referendum! The question should be why vote in parliament to have a referendum that could have gone either way. Face up to your own dislikes and admit it was leave!

You do not get freedom by running away and being solitary. Freedom is about a union of strength and agreement. Somebody tricked you.

Why would you need dialysis? You would still have one functioning kidney.

A ship with a big hole under the waterline is not helped by discussing how it happened, but by actions to either repair it or put out the life boats. I think I have to agree with brexiters a bit. The UK should move on, brexit has happened and will not go away, so the endless looking back at the how and why only results in the same discussions from both sides of the trenches in the divided kingdom. Move on, start looking at how to survive life outside the EU and SM because you will not be joining that anytime soon.

@@franciscouderq1100 understandable response, ut for once he is right. What have all these discussions brought you in the last 6 years? Nothing. Will the UK public accept the € and Schengen to become EU member? No. Will the EU accept the UK when it applies? No, it doesn't meet the criteria. The point where he is wrong is when he says being part of the CU and SM doesn't bring any benefits. Given that Efta and EU membership are not possible, and the EU will not have another Swiss deal there is no point in even discussing a non existing option though.
