For me, I feel entitled to indulge into entertainment, especially after a long day at work. I agree that we should monitor what we do and not let it take over your life.
A way I have seen people look at it is if God walked in the room would you be proud of what your doing which I think really makes you take a second to realize well maybe not ya know

Js like a video game when I read a book I’m in a completely different world and it numbs me while I read and it’s not like the Bible I’m reading it’s just some random book so is that the same as a video game
I'm laughing here because it's funny all of you are saying you think people play video games to relax and "zone out" or something. Now I always believed anything I do should be productive or beneficial to my personal growth. So, don't binge watch TV, Netflix, social media, etc. because it is not beneficial. I am always trying to learn something, be it through taking college credits, studying theology or some interest of mine, etc. Essentially, always learning something productive. So, my sons have always played video games, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Seige, etc. I've always watched, thought it was cool. Beginning of last year I thought, okay. I'm too stressed because I am never relaxing. I'm always "being productive" if I'm not working. I need to give myself a break and relax. Play a video game.... IT IS NOT RELAXING! It is like studying! You have to learn all these details, all these strategies, hand/brain coordination, etc. I repeat. It is NOT relaxing! 18:27 On key! Exactly! Positive thing about gaming, is it works your brain as effectively as studying. 🤣🤣
