Agree 100% on weapon mods. Disagree on augments, but that's fine. I personally just didn't like wasting time fiddling with them. To me, the game is better when it's simpler.
@@John6-40 With the augments let me put it this way. His point is that gimmicks that don’t restrict the game are what Fortnite needs to keep doing and you don’t like augments because you don’t feel like messing with them. Well that’s the great thing about augments, you don’ need to fiddle with them. If you choose to not touch the augments, you could easily win your games just as if you choose to fiddle with them. You aren’t required to use them to win like mods which you have to use or you will be at a huge disadvantage. Augments give you the choice to use them with little to no setbacks if you choose not to use them.
Augments were stupid I'm glad they didn't come back. We don't need more crap to have to go around on the map to find the be ask good as the other guy. I wanna just get some guns and mats and fight
They are actually being reworked, seems like they could have 2 variants for each augment, a base version and an upgraded version. We also got leaks in Chapter 4 season 1 of "mythic" augments that could only be found in Bunkers, we got bunkers this chapter but not augments, that tells me they originally planned to bring back augments at the start of this chapter but decided to change how they work. They will probably return in Chapter 6 as the main mechanic for that chapter
@@MarianzYTwell yeah. It was basically confirmed they wanted to bring them back wifh there being a milestone quest that said "activate augments (coming soon!)" But people complained and ruined it like they do everytime there is something fun. Saw people saying "they better not bring augments back because they are too complicated and distracting"
@@goatuy i hope they keep the modded weapons because it feels better to get a kill be based off skill rather than random bloom that might beam someone for every shot one moment and not be able to hit the broadside a barn another moment.
Cool idea! Some things that could be considered Chapter 1 "gimmicks" (not really gimmicks, but exclusive to Chapter 1): 1. No skill based match making 2. No AI bots 3. No fuel mechanic 4. No collabs in battle passes 5. Siphon (only in season 7) 6. Glider redeploy (only in season 8) 7. Secret skins actually being secret 8. Original emotes that were actually good. Also dance contests for emotes. 9. An in-person World Cup. 10. Live events in matches. Etc.
its likely going to to permanent to balance the scoped weapons in high level tournaments like FNCS and even normal matches. The scoped weapons were a big problem in chapter 4 because it made getting storm surge tags way too easy due to the rifles (more notably, the red eye) being hitscan with a lot of damage from range
Augments and tents are both deserving of a return especially since we were promised augments throughout the entire first season of chapter 5 and they were never released
Fr augments were awsome id of loved to see them in chapter 5 but all we ended up seeing of them was in 1 eval cup and then they were never seen again in chapter 5
I honestly miss augments the most because it was the thing I spent most my gold on and they were either fun and whacky like an og feature that could’ve existed or they were strategic and skillful like first shot for extra damage on your first bullet or shotgun siphon which I liked because of shotgun fights being common and I really miss them and my favorite was soaring sprints because I used to take height in builds and in zero builds if I couldn’t get up a small hill in final circle and I think the augment that gave you emps and you got more would’ve been perfect for this season so you don’t run out tbh When chapter 4 had leaks of legendary augments it was the most hyped feature I was excited for and to see them remove augments in chapter 5 made me sad ❤
I would like to see shaking down back but with a cancel. Mods for all weapons, and a revamped augment system that is more of a pre game thing that doesn’t interrupt your game. Other that that fortnite features are pretty good right now. Especially since ranked got fixed and cars are nerfed
I liked the video and all, but like... I kinda wished you showed these features with some footage so we can see what they do as I haven't played Fortnite since Chapter 2 Season 2 and started playing again in Chapter 5 Season 1. But loved the video dude
I wish augments came back, I only played chapter 4 for like 2 hours worth in season 1 and they seem like a really cool feature that I never really got to use
Next chapters gimmick could be like first person or wall running. More FP because they would probably keep wall running as a movement staple, as they did that for sliding and mantling
Epic need to make the casual and ranked games have different loot pools and mechanics, for example hit scan weapons and more op items and guns, also NO ONE ever wants chapter 4 and 5 OG
Bullet drop complements Weapon mods because everyone can add scopes to their guns, the drop nerfs long distances that people can achieve with the mods. Though i really hope that the next chaper doesnt have drop
@@yazanyaseen10 Nothing to do with mods but mods are still trash, they not only change nothing about the gameplay (the only gamechanger being the scopes, obviously) But they are also unbalanced in many ways, also they don't provide enough variety to choose from, you have like 3 underbarrels which are weak, the silencer is useless against visual audio players (like 80% of the playerbase), 2 mags and the scopes which are the only mod that does provide variety, but the guns this chapter are god awful without scopes, so you need to carry them 100% of the time, and the fact that putting a scope or firing without one doesn't have an advantage or disadvantage is also dumb. Gameplay is bad with mods, but horrible with mods + bullet drop
bullet drop is gonna stay because in high level tournaments, if the first person rifles were hitscan, it would make getting storm surge tags way too easy. This is most noteable in chapter 4 season 1 and 2 FNCS grand finals
