Should Fr. James Martin Be Excommunicated?! w/ Fr. Jason Charron

The silence from most bishops is deafening.

If Vigano gets excommunicated than Fr. Martin should ABSOLUTELY be excommunicated.

What Fr Martin did is beyond words. What will he do next? Lord have mercy on this deluded priest.

What a despicable slap in the face to those of use trying to live celibate lives in constant struggle with same sex attractions. To go to the trouble of turning to the Church, rejecting the worldly embrace of homosexual sexual acts and worse, to pray, fast, and struggle then to go to Church and see Mother Mary in a pride flag?! The reaction I have to this is not appropriate for the internet and I need to pray away the rage I feel about it.

A protestant here who loves his Catholic brothers and sisters. I pray God raises up more men and women like Fr. Jason Charron within the Catholic Church. It is strange and sad to see so many Bishops silent on these clear 'vindications of sin' and offences toward Jesus and Mary. Even as a Protestant, I have often felt that the Catholic Church was generally more clear, public and consistent in its condemnation of these sinful ideologies. God's people are always under attack, sometimes from within more than without, but as I was reading this morning, "For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are" (Romans 8:19). I take comfort in that because God will divide the wheat from the chaff. But for our present, let's pray for excommunication of these wolves, and counter these perverse heresies with God's Truth in Love. And ultimately let's pray that the Leaders of the Churches will show more courage and public consistency with God's Truth.

Fr Charron is 100% correct. Enough is enough, can't subject everyone to the insanity.

I've stopped donating to Catholic Services Appeal. They use my money for terrible things. Instead I donate individually to church organizations I know will actually serve God. Until the hierarchy gets this under control, I see no reason for the laity to support them financially.

" Fr" Martin is the reason why Catholics become disenfranchised with the Vatican - speaking from experience: I am a Chrismated Roman Catholic who left the Church in 2021 and found my home in a faithful Orthodox Church. No rainbow flags in sight is a beautiful thing.

God will eventually act because he will not be mocked but He is merciful and gives people chance after chance but eventually He will remove His hand of protection and act , and then sort all of this mess out. Scriptures warning to these people tempting and mocking God - Its a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

I think he should be put on trial. Fr Martins, knows what he is doing, and knows how to avoid an excommunication, he is smart, but corrupt, I think that both of the sides the far right and the far left of the church should be put on trial

I don’t understand LGBT… but I still care about them and don’t want them to suffer isolation or disgust etc of course. I think we need to get smarter at conveying the value of a relationship with the divine instead of condoning their relationships with one another.
