I don't care how cheap it is, no excuse for it being filthy . They have a down time in winter, a tin of paint here and there, new mugs 99p, even bedding you can get cheap once in a while. A few coat , , lamp shade few quid. Bleach in toilet etc. Just an excuse to say we'll its cheap.
Wise decision to leave Dan! If that's being used by the council, then clearly they don't check the places out. Surely the council budget could stretch to a better dive than that!

The bed couver looked absolutely awful the window looking into some one's back garden is bad that is a terrible hotel, I'm going to Blackpool next year for a 4 day holiday I'm going to stay at a holiday camp, cheers Dan for sharing great video 👍
Matresses should be turned and / or rotated if they have an attatched topper or are certain memory foam. Some hotel matresses used to have months on the labels so you knew it was time to turn.
I couldn't sleep or get comfy in that bed never in a million years. I wouldn't put that dirty blanket in my dog's bed.To stay there i would be traumatized 😮 .
The duvet was minging, and that mattress looked no better. Cheap doesn’t have to equal dirty. Duvets aren't expensive to buy, so there's no need for that poor condition. That mattress needs replacing asap. When theyvget a new kne they should put a mattress prot3ctor on it straight away as they can be easily washed and cleaned, and that will help the mattress to stay in a more hygienic condition. Not staying the night was a good idea. It looked so grim. No basic cleanliness. I really like the camera detector. What a great idea! I've read stories where people have foind cameras hidden in hotel bedrooms. That's bloody scary! 😳
Don't blame you for leaving Dan. Best decision so you can find somewhere else early enough. The duvet really was gross, seen better ones thrown in the council tip bins. Come to think of it maybe the owner has a relative that works at the tip .

Strange thing with the council using it, but not a great place to stay, but I think you've been to worse places and didn't look too bad on entering the hotel. My favourite part of Blackpool just south of Pleasure Beach the nicest part in my opinion down there and Squires Gate parts.
I enjoy these reviews but think you are being too negative about Blackpool - they're are many shit holes but that isn't all Blackpool There are many fine hotels in Blackpool - perhaps you should review some of them!
I was thinking the same thing. It’s International Ballroom dance championships at Winter Gardens this week I think. I used to go all the time but haven’t been since 2019. Some hotels get booked up with all the contestants. The glamorous side of Blackpool.

Just when you think you have seen it all. Thing's surely can't get worse? Shocking that even the Council use this as accommodation! You see The Big Blue Hotel in the background. Definitely far away from that budget. Nice hotel though. Even £28 a night, that place is disgusting, such easy fixes also!

Both the duvet and mattress needs chucking in the skip! 🤮 11:26 - That cabling is surely a FIRE HAZARD right there! I dread to think what the bathroom was like. £28 for an absolute shithole!
I actually stayed in this Dos house recently…I always have the view you get what you pay for…was there 2 nights… I only realised that the quilt was exactly as bad as in this video…on my way out..took photos and sent my better half…she sent the owner these and she actually accused me of taking my own…booked a single got “upgraded “ to a double…here’s a list of other issues..no handrails on stairs..carpet so thick it made the stair treads dangerously narrow…the only way to transverse this safely was sideways…shower was cold with little or no pressure & curtain too short I had to put a towel down to soak up the water off the floor (Theirs…I took my own towel)…blood on toilet wall…virtually impossible to get on and off the toilet it was so narrow…one double socket with kettle on the floor…window curtains virtually impossible to close / open…window catch was hanging off the window…other than that…no breakfast (thankfully) no bar despite being advertised…if you want the Ritz…PAY Ritz prices…if you want cheap and cheerful stay here…Maybe not…I only read the reviews after we booked…too late then…😊
Mateee - stayed three three consecutive months in a row and that exact room - room 5 .. I’m always in Blackpool but mainly seeing family and on the piss… it’s not the best . But I like it cuz it’s cheap and cheerful
After last time I stayed in Blackpool with my kids...the worst b&b we ever stayed in a few years back...I will never stay in Blackpool ever again. Total s***hole
The black lint "pilling" if from the black mattress sheet used without the mattress protector and or from the mattress being dragged on the carpet. Most old mattress have pilling but its not as noticeable if its white on white linens.

Very interesting reviews. Having stayed at very cheap hotels in San Francisco the only reason I tolerated the low quality room and service? It was bearable for one night only. I would never sleep in the bed, would only lay on the bed. That's why these places do serve a purpose. However, more than one night is a bad idea, and Blackpool ? I would rather lay in a bath full of cow excrement up to my neck, and stick pins in my eyes ! much more preferable than staying at Blackpool.
They will get a lot more than £20 and £28 from Blackpool council too, I used to work for them and there are several hotels we used to use, that's how many of these small dingy places stay open and don't care about the standards for tourists, they are banking on one or two homeless people for a week or a month.

The northern star 3 out of the 5 rooms we had booked had bed bugs lucky for us we knew how to check and didnt take bags etc in till we had checked first
I stayed in the lucena hotel on Saturday, supposed to be 2 nights but i left after the first night,it was smaller than a prison cell, worst hotel ive ever stayed in
Seems a lot of hotels are now housing people the council can't/won't help. My friend and I stayed in the Southend Travelodge and there was a guy there that had obviously been placed there by the council
I would be concerned in regards to BED BUGS. All that is needed is a lick of paint, New mattresses and bedding, maybe a couple of pictures on the wall to at least make it homely. That bedding was disgusting. I wouldn't stay there.
Probably the most grim spot I've ever seen 😂 I stayed in a premier travel inn before, checked in and the room had kebabs cartons and burger boxes all over it, and empty cans and bottles. They did clean it up when we reported it 😂
Ok I can understand that you didn't want to sleep in that bed. But otherwise you stayed in places that were more dirty then this one in the past. I ask myself why you didn't wait untill dark, to check the room with all your ne tools and then leayve and drive back home, like some other youtubers do. But you also didn't check the things you already could in daylight. No kettle check, no view inside the bathroom. All in all for me it looked like you didn't really feel like it to make a propper video. It felt more like a "I must put on a new video, lets do it quick". I can understand you in person, that you don't want to stay in this places, but you choosed it for you as the topic of your channel. If you don't like it anymore, then the sense of the channel is gone. I think it is sad, that people change the mind as quick as they start to make some money with youtube. First they all look for cheep possibilities to make videos and as soon they make some money they want to do better things. I felt the same with "Walk with me Tim". First he made the worst reated hotel series. He showed a lot things in britain and he was very successfull. Now it is only about luxury. Thousend pound a night like nothing, all of the cost of the youtube viewers. I think that is sad.
Firstly he can stay, film have his opinion on wherever he stays. If it doesnt feel right due to not knowing if hes got a bed for the night hes in the right to move on. He has ALWAYS stayed honest in his reviews thats why we watch. Not sure that the pay from youtube which isnt great in the first place had anything to do with this video. JUST DONT WATCH!!
What's the purpose of the channel if your not going to stay in them, we're here to see your reactions during and after the stay, can't speak for anyone else but I think you should stick to camping, it's how we all got to know you mate, think this wasn't your best decisions 🤔

So you expect me to stay there to about 10pm to it get dark? I did show a view of the room. Plus, you must not have heard me right in the video. Someone was booked into the room from the Cancel and I DIDN'T WANT TO STAY IF I WAS NOT HAVING THE ROOM so I left then to find somewhere else to stay.. I don't think my channel is for you because you don't listen just just to the keyboard
