I will pray for you. I also have pain in my hands. The pain I experience is chronic like tennis elbow and carpal tunnel. I have tried everything to make it go away but nothing has stuck. I work full time outside of ministry and then I am the worship leader of my church. God has always been gracious in helping me play guitar through the pain every time. I think of it kinda like Paul and the thorn in his side. I hope that is an encouragement you brother. You ain't alone in suffering especially when God means it for good! I will pray for that grace too for you. God Bless!

I'm a med school reject (I attended Wheaton College for 2yrs and was pre-med as well), a grad school drop-out, a nursing school drop-out, and currently am an over-the-road truck driver at 56. My mother has been praying that I become a preacher/ pastor since my Wheaton years. It never entered into my mind to be one and I never felt called by God. I am an introvert. Painfully so when younger but now I'm "normal". When invited to pray on Sundays for 5min, multiple people have told me they were blessed by it, that I have a talent with words in prose. I told my mother that if God hits me over the head in a loud voice like Paul's conversion, and tells me to become a pastor, then I would have to obey. Otherwise, no. Amazingly, she responded, "Then you really would?"

Come soon Lord. Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!

don't. There is only one pastor / poimen: pastor Jesus. Jesus says so in John 10:16 Yes, I'm fully aware of what others say on this. But Jesus told us that there is "one fold and one pastor / poimen." Preacher? Sure. Minister? that's what the puritans called a church preacher because that's the word Jesus uses in our English bible (Matt 20:26). But the usage of the Latin term 'pastor' after the 1st century is a Roman thing, when they misappropriated the singular title of our Lord to the papacy. You can believe this or not. And yes, words matter. "Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." - JESUS

As to the question itself - I have to say in my opinion - if you have to ask - then your not - becoming a preacher in my opinion is something that happens - in a moment at a moment - you realize - OMG - I am a preacher - and that usually comes with - and this is what I need to preach - I cause and a purpose - most of all a CALLING - now wether you answer that call - that is up to you - if you want to become a preacher as a career choice - I really don’t recommend it - although that exists - it is falling short and shorter everyday - the great awakening has happened and is happening - people (WE) are beginning to see right through this and see it for what it truely is (a falsehood, a deception, and the unfruitful it bares). Now on the other hand - if like me you get the call and feel a purpose, well you won’t be asking yourself should I - you will say I am - and if you truely are led by angelical forces - like me - it will all happen - I already licensed passes and clergy clearance - legally - and registered - and I still am blown away - my story short - I got into my Bible and online chats and post (like this) soon I was posting comments and having chats (with real people of faith) they found what I was saying fascinating (those of course who were not against me) yes that happens too - speak truth speak anything - and you will find opposition guaranteed - in any thing - but what happened was as I speaking and having those chats - I was contacted and asked if I would like to be a minister - I said what the heck and signed up - I was immediately excepted and all my licenses came in the mail. It wasn’t til I actually received all this stuff that I realized OMG - I AM A PREACHER - I realize it was a call - and I answered - now starting up - that can be tricky - but have faith - trust In God - it will all come together - god bless - I hope this was helpful - I do support new preachers - and if not a preacher - you can always - still believe and serve as a person of faith - more powerful than you think - god bless

No one should become a preacher. Instead, we should become disciples of Paul. You are saved if you believe the gospel. Don't believe me. No, read the gospel. I Corinthians 15:1-4 - verse (3) says that our sins were forgiven on the cross. Verse (2) says that we are saved, unless we "believe in vain." "Believing in vain" means believing anything other than our gospel of I Corinthians 15:1-4. There you go. The Bible tells us what no denomination will ever tell us. Shearing the sheep is very profitable. Another Bible proof is that our apostle Paul never tells us to worship corporately. No, he does say in Romans 12:1 - "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." ESV. Do the sheep need an earthly shepherd? No, we are members of "the body of Christ." Paul never once mentions the word shepherd in any of his 13 epistles. Who will you believe? God's true word? Or denominational men, speaking in denominational assemblies? Most choose the denominational men in the denominational assemblies.

Ephesians 4:11 and 12 says this. "So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the sheperds and teachers, to equip the saints (that's us) for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." Also, we are to be disciples of Jesus, not of Paul. For even Paul himself says in 1 Corinthians 1:12-14 "What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius." Please be careful in your teachings brother. God bless you.

@@izzyostrander9002 If you are a CoC then the following is just for you. I believe that only the Mormons, Catholic Church, and the CoC say that you have to be "water baptized," in order to be saved. If there are other denominations that preach this, then maybe someone can let me know. To be fair, it is a well-known fact that the CoC calls the Book of Acts of the Apostles as the "Book of Conversions." So, in order to determine the truth, we will have to look at verses within the Book of Acts that refer to conversion, remission of sins, and gift of the Holy Ghost, since all three are associated with Acts 2:38, which the CoC uses in order to "establish their gospel." Below are the three words that we need to define in order to fully understand "water baptism" "repentance," "conversion," and "remission of sins." In have used Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary for definitions. 1. "Repent" means to have "a change of mind." 2. "Remission of sins" means "forgiveness," or "pardon of sins." 3. "Conversion" means "a change of heart." There are three verses that I will use in order to determine if we must be water baptized in order to obtain salvation. These verses are Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, and Acts 10:43. First, let's look at Acts 2:38. This is the "proof text," that Alexander Campbell uses. So, let's see if he is wrong, or if he is correct in saying that we have to be "water baptized" in order to obtain salvation, in this age, the "age of grace." Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." In Acts 2:38 Peter gives two commandments and tells of one "promise" if they (the nation of Israel) will obey the two commandments. The two commandments are (1) Repent (change your mind), and (2) be water baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ. SEE: in the name of Jesus Christ. The one gift for obeying these two commandments, is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. In Acts 3:19 Peter gives two commandments and tells of one "promise" if they (the nation of Israel) will obey the two commandments. The two commandments are (1) repent (change your mind), and (2) be converted (a change of heart). The promise is that their (The nation of Israel) sins would be blotted out when Jesus Christ returns to earth. NO WATER BAPTISM HERE. Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. In Acts 10:43 God the Father is making a promise that is given through His prophets that whosoever "believeth" in HIM, meaning as their Messiah, and the Son of God, shall receive "remission of sins." In this verse we see that the Nation of Israel received remission of sins WITHOUT being "WATER BAPTIZED." NO, they believed in HIM. To sum all of this up, we see that: Acts 2:38 - Peter said to (1) repent (change your mind about who you crucified), (2) be baptized (public confession of Jesus as their Messiah, Son of God), and then they would (3) receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 3:19 - Peter said to repent (change your mind about who you crucified), be converted (Change your heart), and (3) your sins will be blotted out (fully forgiven) when Jesus Christ returns to earth to establish His kingdom. Acts 10:43 - God the Father spoke through His prophets that whoever believes in His NAME as their Messiah, the Son of God would receive remission of sins. This verse proves that the nation of Israel (the thief on the cross) did not have to be "water baptized," to receive "remission of sins." You really should study the Bible.

@@izzyostrander9002 You are not very well versed on what Paul actually says. Romans 2:16 - "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel." Did you believe that you are judged by Peter's gospel of the kingdom? Paul calls it his gospel three times. Jesus Christ gave our gospel to Paul, and you will not believe Christ, or Paul, or the Holy Spirit who wrote the Bible. Where is your head at? Romans 4:15 - "Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression." Gos is not imputing sins in the age of grace. Did your preacher say I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That is the gospel of the kingdom, not the gospel of Christ (gospel of grace). Romans 5:10 - "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." This mirrors the gospel of I Corinthians 15:1-4 - sins forgiven on the cross - saved by believing the gospel. Romans 5:13 - "For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." No sins imputed in the age of grace. BTW we are in the age/dispensation of grace. 1Corinthians 9:16-17 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. Colossians 1:25 "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God." Paul fulfilled/completed the word of God, and you will not believe Paul because men tell you not to believe him. This is so sad, that you do not have Bible-eyes to see their lies. Forgiveness of sins is not conditional - salvation is conditional on our belief of the gospel of I Corinthians 15:1-4. Quit believing men, and start believing God. Study to show yourself approved - II Timothy 2:15. Don't be ashamed! Please watch Truth Time Radio on RU-vid, or on their podcast. You will find the truth at Truth Time Radio.

"Should I Become a Preacher?" ABSOLUTELY Sir; IF............ 1. You never practice, study or write your sermons. Because...Luke 12:12 2. You never ask and/or beg for a gift; including money. Because...Mathew 6:25 3. You never say "God"; UNLESS you let the world KNOW that Jesus IS the only true God. Because...1 Timothy 3:16. 4. You never say that a bible is "the Word of God". Because...John 1:1 and 14 and Revelation 19:13 and Mathew 1:23. And that says Jesus WAS, IS and ALWAYS will be only the "Word" of God"! Praise Him "to the 4 corners of the world!". 5. You never say that Jesus was a "Jew". Because...Mathew 1:1 vs John 8:58 and Mathew 22:41-45 (proves He was NOT! Praise His Holy name.) 6. You never say that any one goes to hell for their sins. Except for the only "UN-forgivable sin". Because...Mark 3:28-29. 7. You NEVER allow any kind of music, EXCEPT...reasonably soft, "Holy and Reverent Music"; with NO iota of a PA system any where, ever. Because...Psalms 98:4. However, Jesus did not mean "loudness"; so loud that it damages permanently our ears; rather Holy noise way lower level; than what most do today, sadly! AMEN! For IF you do not follow the above; then I believe, Jesus will NOT choose you to be His "Holy Preacher"; to message HIS "Gospel". And that means you are a preacher; promulgated in hell by satan. Believe it or not... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
