350z has more classic Japanese styling for sure. The smoother body lines/more rounded roof line just appealed to me more. Very similar styling to the late 90's era of jdm sports/supercars.
My 2012 370z cost me 13k with 74k miles previous owner was a older guy who took extremely good care of it almost looked new, glad i got it over the 350 since majority have been driven very hard
Here’s some help 350z de= 287 crank 350z de rev up=300 crank (higher rev different heads) 350z hr= 306 crank (80% changed completely said that the new tuning method used made numbers lower which I why why they are so quick) 370z base- sport 332 crank 370z nismo 350 crank Whp is lower than crank
It's crazy to me that he got every single one of these numbers wrong... And he did the research to make this whole video and even owns a 350z and is just fucking clueless about the hp figures
z33 vs z34 the biggest thing to consider is- will you be dailying this car? most of us are gonna be younger guys getting a Z so youll be looking at the cheaper options. The cheaper 350z is an 03 which has the beloved 3rd gear synchro issue and the DE does burn a bit of oil in most cases. the 370 being newer and learning from the z33's flaws is a bit more reliable. Personally as i own an 03 350z, i think that the 07-08 350z is the way to go. price to performance its gonna be cheaper than a 370z. Just know whichever one you buy youre making the right choice getting a Z
Rev-up (05-06) have the oil burning issue but the also have the CD009 transmission so if you ever get a new transmission due to 3rd gear synchro goes out get yourself a CD009. Plus some parts on the rev-up are interchangeable on the non rev-up (03-04)
This is an eternal argument. If you've got a 350z, you think it's better. If you've got a 370z, you think it's better. It is what it is. It simply comes down to two things; (1) your pocket, and (2) your eyes. If someone currently has shallow pockets, the 350z is for them right now, but that same person would change their opinion the minute their pockets get a little deeper and they can get into a 370z. I personally love all of the Z cars.
350z. It’s way cheaper, and imo, looks better. Plus, the 12k you save, you can put towards making it faster/better looking. A stock 370z < a tuned 350z. Easy. Take the 350z.
HRs make 306 at the crank, Rev-Ups make 300 at the crank, DEs are in the 280s, although you're correct that none of them are going to be anywhere near 280 at the wheels stock. I think most stock HRs dyno between 250-260.
@@UnitiveWILLIAM24 easily 300 crank yes but the DE 350zs either have over rated crank hp figures, or lose a lot to the drivetrain. I've owned 3 DE 350zs and I absolutely love them but I've heard the only dyno in the 220-230 range stock, mine had an intake, 75mm tb, kinetix upper intake, tomei headers, motordyne art pipes and motordyne catback with a tune and even then it only made 275whp. Still super fun just not the car to get if you want to make a lot of power without breaking the bank. Again, would still recommend(depending on your goals)
I had a 350z (slightly modified DE) and now drive a 370z. I will say the 370z is better in every way. Looks are subjective, but the 370z is way more exciting looking in my opinion, however, the 350z is more classic and in turn - more beautiful. The 350z is just so much cheaper than a 370z that the 370z is really a luxury item at that point. Which makes a strong case to go with the 350z alone.
I love your edits bro just bought a 350z 2005 super nice carbon fiber hood and everything nice halo headlights. Bought it cause I have always wanted a z
350z's are so cheap right now you can buy one and live with it, if you can decide you want to upgrade to a 370z you can! I bought an '03 back in 2009, still have it even after i bought a Cayman S. Ownership hasn't been without its problems, but it's been a great car to own overall. I thought I was going to get a 370z eventually because i liked its aggressive looks, but i've been so happy with the 350z, no need. I'd say if you're a teenager delivering pizza's, you'd be fine getting the 350z. If you're older and have a professional job, you may prefer the refinement of the 370z.
Found an 05 i believe it was here in Florida for 600 bucks. Mint condition, good transmission, like 150k miles and a blown motor. But for 600 bucks you had a perfect car. Dude said motor locked and car needs towing. It was in a nice neighborhood in someones driveway and you can tell it was just a secondary someone probably ran to hard or ignored some issues and let the motor go on it but everything was perfect. Needless to say it was gone from the FB market with in hours.
I agree, tho most of us that have 350Zs prefer them over the looks of the 370Z. I usually say "the only thing a 370Z is good for is making a 350Z look old when it's parked next to it. The engine is better but the DE is no slouch, despite what a lot of HR fanboys say. Ironically I hated the 350Z until I bought one 12 years ago, been a fan ever since.
350Z is insane value for what it is. Especially HR's only being $1-2k more (generally because their miles are lower because they're newer). You cannot even pick up C5 Corvettes in this price range, and the 350Z looks 10x better and more modern not to mention equal performance. 370Z are starting to peak into the $12-13k range for base models and reasonable mileage. It's tempting, but the unicorn 350Z HR is going to run like half that. I'm on the hunt for all these now.
Driven both and owned 2 370z still have one 17 manual only 15k miles and a g37 I love my VQ motors that said 350Z is a awsome car but if you got the money go 370z reliability is there few bolt ons really wakes up the 3.7 motor and boost potential on the stock block is much greater and is "better" in every way lighter, wider, shorter, auto rev-mach and is a bit more modernized
Or more for a clean example, I've had 3 manual DE coupes and now I want an HR but I cant even find one with under 75k miles with the manual and coupe body style
Every horsepower figure about the 350 and 370z were wrong in this video. Where did you get your info? De is 287, Rev up is 300, hr is 306, and 370 is 332
Hey great video Lowso! i own a 370z and i don't drift it.. i enjoy it for its performance though. test drove the 350 before making up mind and liked it..but i was going to pay roughly the same price for low mileage on either car. so i decided on 370z. keep up the good work
Can’t really compare cars like this because you could get a Miata instead of a Lamborghini and and make it way faster for the same money. When comparing cars that weren’t meant to be direct competitors you just have to go with what best fits you.
Lol bro you actually opened my eyes I was jumping from g35 to g37 to 370z but your right with that extra cash I can easily get the mods required for what I want in my 350z . So thanks a lot bro 👌 this is also gonna be my first car so honestly it’d be a complete waste of money to get a 370z lol
350z's look like audi R8s but with a longer nose and a shorter cabin, i think they look much better than 370z's which kinda look like a dogs back curving over to take a dump, and the door handles on a 350 are the greatest in the automotive industry, 370's are nasty. however if you're looking at nismo's, the nismo 350z body kit looks kinda weird and stretched, the 370 nismo is pretty oof tho. unfortunately 350z's are still around 13-18k in australia, which sucks
Bro your buggin 370z tuned make 345 to the wheel, 2nd 370z have auto rev match in my opinion changes the game driving in cities, they also offer big brake kits on most z34. I own a 350z but the facts are the facts, which you didn’t say! Also they both have much different tones. All love.
Lol.. shows how much you know about the 370Z.. it came with 332HP not 322HP. You are comparing prices of a DE model of 5k to a 370Z. So your huge price gap is not apples to apples. You should be comparing the 350z HR model to the 370Z.. then the price gap you claim wouldn't be so huge. Looks arer subjective, but the engine and interior is much better on the 370Z. 370Z vs stock for stock or mod for mod the 370Z is faster. 350Z is better suited for drifting as it is cheaper and has more time being developed as a drift car. But for grip driving and daily commute the 370Z is better.
@@LowSo Of course it's going to be cheaper.. that's like saying a C6 Corvette is cheaper than a C7.. it's an older car.. what do you expect? Its not even fair to compare a DE or Rev up 350Z to a 370Z.. cause it's not even close performance or interior wise to a 370Z.. best to compare a 350Z HR to a 09-11 370Z price wise and you'll see the price gap is NOT the huge 10K price gap you claim. And YES the 370Z motor is better then a 350Z HR motor.. it's not even a question. What kind of response is "swap in an LS for 6K" that's like such a lazy response.
I picked up a 350z enthusiast roadster. Honestly I think the convertible version of the car looks way better, I don’t like the hatch on the car as much. I definitely think the 350z looks better than the 370z. Sure the 370z is a bit faster, but it still gets smoked by the new mustang gt in a straight. Better just to get a car that is enjoyable than the best for the money. Had to spend a bit more on the roadster, but it was definitely worth it. Car gets a lot of attention, even from drivers sporting high tier cars such as jaguar f-types and vipers.
vClue did you even read my post? It was like you picked one sentence to respond to. My point is that it is “better just to get a car that is enjoyable instead of best for the money”
i have a ‘03 350 i only payed $4,500 for. only 90k on newer engine, clean title manual bla bla bla. way too much fun for less than 5 bandaroonies, 350z all the way
Hr 350z like 8-10k in manual and i can find a manual 370z for like 13-17k so let’s say a 4K difference 💀 not 10 and it’s newer so will have less miles and over all better. Just my opinion though
Got a 350z for 12k and with 80k and I love it! This video explained it well! I’m glad I got a 350. But 370 has a nice design but I would recommend the classier car the 350z . 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Oh damn that sucks but thank you I’m trying to find what’s bad and what to expect to fix whenever something goes wrong. The blind spots are weird cuz I can’t really judge how bad they are considering I’ve never been inside the car but really can’t decide on which car.
I realize people drive these cars pretty hard and drift them why is it that everyone of them looks beat up Is there anyone that takes care of there's and wants to sell it
I guess I’ll play, the 350Z price point ur comparing is for a 350Z DE so ur comparing 280 hp to the 370Z at 332hp a 50 hp difference, also forgot to point out how bad of oil consumption is on a DE, oil galley gaskets, weak trans and synchros, cheap paint in the interior, most cases the car is going to be beat or poorly modded at that price point, where you’ll be getting a low mileage stock platform to build on. Oil temps on a 350Z are absurd when spirited driving, door handles were made poorly and tend to break randomly on 350Z as well.
Oh yeah for the 370Z add in rev match, stronger trans, 600hp stock block capability, wider wheel arches for wider tires, and overall more comfortable for daily driving.
You americans are soo lucky…you cant justify a 15k 370z? Tell me than how am i suppose to justify 350z for 17k and the better ones with 100k kilometers are like 2k higher
I have owned a 350z and currently have a 370z if you drove both you would not be asking this question that is my point. Thanks. Your basing your opinion on price alone. 287 HP vs 332HP. enough said.@@LowSo
phelanator I have driven both actually and decided on the 350z hr over the 370 Bc of the lack of difference in power and my preference of the 350 body. Stop thinking your opinion is more important than someone else’s
