Darryl Williamson-lead pastor of Living Faith Bible Fellowship and TGC Council member-gives some tips on discerning a call to ministry in the life of a young Christian.
This is great. The Lord has had teaching Sunday school on my heart for months, So I've been praying about if I should offer myself to teach because I felt the burden so strong. But there were no openings to teach Sunday school in my church, every class had a teacher, So I told the Lord I was willing and gave it to him. Just the other day my Pastors wife came to me and side she wanted me to be praying about the idea of teaching Sunday school because one of our teachers retired suddenly, My heart leaped And I side I'd do it right then, because I knew the Lord had already laid it on my heart. She then told me that when she was praying about it she felt the Lord lay me on her heart and that's why she asked me. God is amazing how he speaks to and uses people. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Lord uses me. Please be praying for me, this is the first time I've taught Sunday school and I know its a big responsibility.
Praying for you. Thank you for acknowledging the fearful responsibility of leading others to Christ. It truly is something we can't take lightly but we have to boldly proclaim it at the same time. Seek His will day in and day out, pray that you always seek to remain close to Him and in doing so you will lead those you serve to do the same.
