The latest figures from the Ministry of Justice revealed that as of last September, female prison officers now represent 42% of the workforce. With the potential - in some cases - of relationships and a woman’s potential vulnerability in a male prison, is it time male prisons only employ male guards?

Why is it about the "safety of women"? These women guards have a duty of care and are inappropriately crossing boundaries of intimacy. Those women are too blame. It's an abuse of power.

The easiest way to ensure this doesn’t happen is ensure that no prison officer is to be alone on the floor, they must patrol and operate in pairs.

interesting that when female officers have relationships with male prisoners then the women are the victims. but when the male officers have relationships with the female prisoners then the women are also the victims.

The one woman there obviously wouldn't have relationships with prisoners unless they are gay. Of course there should be only male prison guards in male prisons. It makes sense.

Wasn't the debate about inappropriate relationships? Why are they talking about being at risk and being assaulted and harassed? And the women have to do what men do, so whether it is a walk in the park or a dangerous situation both genders are exposed to it. That police officer totally derailed the topic.

according to that activist women should not work in prisons because its a threat to women. what happens to the mens feelings doesnt matter. every year about a dozen people are stabbed to death at the notting hill carnival festival in london. a black festival. if the police banned that for the safety of everyone in london, we would be lectured about the feelings of the black community. interesting

We need more officers like that Portuguese Prison officer. If I was running from Prime Minister I’d put on my manifesto that prison would have 100 percent fit female officers to bring down violence. I dont think the inmates will complain about the abuse of power lol

Uk prison are full by mid July after general elections keep running out of space for prisoners but I solved it send all to Ukraine frontline ad soldiers your problem be solved for now 😂
