If everyone is wicked then no one is wicked

This supposed "anarchy" in the internet is where exactly? Last time I checked you could get your comments deleted if you insult somebody AND actually get sued and even jailed for it aswell. How is that an anarchy? Where do these people live?

The complexity of interacting on the public internet is staggering. The possibility of all the different person to person connections which are beyond astronomical numbers. The low bandwidth of the communication, often in very short fragments of text stripped of nuance or targeted at people with very specific cultural backgrounds, often very technical. All in order to speed up communication. Really, using these platforms is a case of fools rushing in where angels fear to tread. When you look at it like this the problem is simple. Lack of private internet spaces where people can communicate with total privacy in more intimate groups without it leaking out into the vast tangled mess of the public internet. This runs against the design of the internet and the commercial interests of big data. Removing anonymity is a totally backwards solution. The problem is when people cannot imagine the staggeringly unpredictable nature of what they are doing and when they cannot directly see the consequences of their actions. Now you could say that by removing the anonymity of the people reading your messages, you might become more cautious the more you know about them. But you simply cannot get to know everyone on the internet intimately before writing a public message. On the other hand if someone wants to write malicious messages then anonymity is a protection against any one of those billions of people picking you out from the crowd to victimize you.

There is no way to implement oversight without huge risk of censorship or manipulation. Freedom of expression comes first. If you can't take it log out.

you know what people really look into what is said on the web, this way what they do in real lifes, goes unnoticed. The trafficking, the blasting inequalities, and the ‘intellectuals’ for legitimizing it, paid.
