The configuration of matter (atoms) does not make matter conscious. So there is no gene that produces consciousness. Unselfishness is meaningless without consciousness. Given consciousness there may be a gene that makes unselfishness desirable. But, since consciousness is needed for unselfishness to exist, genetics is not the ultimate cause of unselfishness.

Maybe there is a détector problem when what is used is so large it has to be far away from the collision évent so we rely on the same theories we want to prove to retreive the original particle before decay. I suggested using tiny superconducting filament with hotspot ballistic back in 1986. IMHO = The thing about observing particles is that you are creating an action and / or a potential decision branch. Which represents a change in direction for the particle. A change in state. Actions / Decisions are what initiate the two or more copies of the particle in the forward future. Step back ( or slow down ) and you’ll change the space time and the potential branch off options available for your particle. Once an action a decision is branched onto, it changes.
My point is that whether your particle will be influenced to the left or influenced to the right at slower than light speed?… The light speed future will be prepared for whatever influences it might meet along the way.
Humanity and life on Earth is finished not capitalism. Evolution end with us. Hyper-auto-parasitism has always been there, it's the root of occidental culture, social scaled (slave based economics). The mechanism is understandable, but we've setup to fail and we've done it. it can be capitalism or feudalism. Still we've failed our evolution. We've encouraged behavior that we exactly needed to avoid and regulate. Social Darwinism is an aberration and a lie to mask the real dynamic behind. Psychic regression hidden behind primitive behavior that are promoted, called success, bringing power. Federate by our weakness that the strategy of captured economics. Will for imbalance. The belief of social auto-determination is an illusion. This prism is own and shape mostly by media which exploit every bias that feeds it. "What you are will be retain against yourself." That's how all the system work now, deprive anyone as much of autonomy as possible. (auto-nomy, being able to name yourself, to think ysf.) Social Science is applied against people in those system. It's called social engineerings. I don't think there is a way out of extinction now. We've failed so miserably to build any wisdom at any point in time. Occidental culture is an absolute failure. We're the baddies, killing anything else. Peace have no weapon, so this is it. Only way to enforce peace is wisdom, true knowledge, Truth. Laissez-faire or under-controlled capitalism plus under-controlled technological "progress" brings us to technofeudalism (also describable as corporate socialism with economic growth based on continuing tech "progress"). This is the basic life drive operating in the human species without the wisdom of constraints to maintain balance-fairness, human-human, human-earth. Just as, without having basic design rules-constraints, you cannot make an airplane that flies well and efficiently with its passengers safe, happy, and comfortable, neither can you have an economy that flies without the right design rules-constraints. Can we redesign-rebuild the airplane we now have while it’s still flying, or will it need to be brought down? Next Q: What becomes of the nature of man or even our existence as a species under technofeudalism? Borgification or replacement by our own technology.
The “capitalists” are not a class. That narrative is incredibly outdated and potentially dangerous. Rather, capitalism is the basis of our economic systems and it has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty. Yes, it shouldn’t be unfettered; it requires good, sensible regulation. Regulated capitalism is the right path forward.
