Thank you Isaac for spitting facts. Obviously 0-9 is rough but can we also acknowledge the fact that he was playing off of offense generated by Hardy, Gortman, or Brandon Williams for 90% of the game, while being guarded like glue by DJJ? His role is to hit open shots generated by either Luka or Kyrie or both of them, not run around getting DHOs from Jaz Gortman. Respectfully.
@@Velveteenvision So you’re going off a 3 game sample size? Why not use an 82 game sample size where he was 39% from 3 last season? Shooters are streaky. Washed shooters that still average to be good, will be more streaky. We literally can’t tell yet. Give it a month or a few. Warriors fans have been telling us that even in his prime he would start seasons off slow and have 0-7, 0-8 games.
People forget that last year, we didn’t have Gafford and PJ the entire year. Kyrie and Luka finally figured it out. Lively is no longer a rookie and playing with way more confidence! Then we added Klay who will be fine people! This team will be better! As long as we stay relatively healthy, we should do some damage again. I like what OKC is doing, but don’t quite understand why they are over the Mavs. In all honesty, the Mavs have a better mix of young players and a few key veterans. Analyist think we are a fluke because we’re in the bottom of the West and even down in the playins for a bit and then we went on a run.
I think that OKC is built to succeed in the regular season and the Mavs are built to win series. I say that because we have different pieces and experiment much more. Kidd is willing to lose a regular season game to learn new schemes and grow. OKC is not. OKC can be first in the West, we will still be Champs🔥
I'm boycotting this episode in protest over you letting that OKC fanboy shit-talk Klay/Naji/Quentin. I cannot even believe you let him say, "Well, they might have gotten better depending on how you look at it....." Naji for DJJ, Quentin for Green, Klay for Hardaway???? And you don't say a word? Damn man.....how disappointing. Oh wow, Dort goes to the bench to make way for Caruso and it's an incredible move? Heartenstein and his 8/8 is going to out-weigh Lively and Gafford? GTFO....
Yeah Nick is literally there boss and that guy didn’t even mention Klay. Like why put it where we can see it if you’re just gonna let them spout nonsense and not even defend the mavs at all it’s so wild how little respect the mavs get
@@Andrew-gs2ps I get the Klay thing. It's a risk. He's coming off a down year with a lot of drama. I think it's a slam dunk that he'll have a great year, but it's a fair point that with the injuries and shooting issues he could be on the decline. But Marshall and Grimes? Come on.....those are ABSOLUTE improvements in the lineup (and key ones considering the defensive pressure they can apply). Either one of them is a bigger deal than BOTH of OKC's moves because they were both lateral moves. I prefer Caruso to Dort, but both are about the same offensively and defensively so it's not a major change. Heartenstein helps them with size, but at 8/8 vs Gaff & Lively averaging 18/14? Not even close (and they are going to be able to get him into foul trouble in addition to wearing him out). So Dallas got CONSIDERABLY better because of those 3 moves (even if you view Klay as a risk) while OKC got a little better (and a little deeper in case of injury). Grimes just put up 20 last night. How many times in the entire season do you think Caruso or Heartenstein will get 20?
@@SDesWriter he’s replacing THJ role one for one. If Klay can’t defend POA grimes is gonna snatch that spot i promise. He averaged 19 PPG on 38% from 3 for 16 mil a year Klay Thompson as ur volume 3 point shooter that’s as good as it gets and we have two guys who are better than DJJ who will eventually replace that role in Naji and Grimes we got better
Well obvi you ain’t boycott it cuz you commented here. All yall gotta chill tf out jesus. It’s not a big deal😂😂we gon show everybody when the season starts that last year wasn’t no fluke n we got way better
@@Andrew-gs2ps Dude you're spot on! We all love Klay, but Grimes has more capabilities than Klay. A lineup of Luka/Kyrie/Grimes/PJ/Lively is ideal. Grimes' ability to attack, defend, catch and shoot, drive, and throw the lob makes him a starter. Grimes needs an extension!!!
In the regular season I think okc will have a better record because the have an easier schedule due to their division. But in the playoffs I would take the mavs to win the west. Because we just saw it and I believe when Luka is healthy, the mavs will be even better.
@@Velveteenvision Grimes will be the new Derrick Jones Jr. signing. He the best point of attack defender. Even if Klay's minutes decline, I am sure they have enough depth to compensate it. (Marshall, Exum)
@@fabianschaeuble5717 Benching Klay will be a major headline. However, Grimes is likely our third man giving his ability to pass the lob, defend, drive, catch and shoot and regularly have 20-point games. [Luka/Kyrie/Grimes/PJ/Lively]
@@fabianschaeuble5717 I totally agree with starting Klay initially. But I foresee Grimes taking his spot! I believe we'd be more impactful with Grimes starting given his ability to score 20+ points often. Klay off the bench is a bonus
If OKC didn't have the best health LUCK & starting lineup continuity, they more than likely would've dropped at least 2 or more games and would've been the #3 seed or worse. Would ANYBODY still be anointing OKC if they weren't the #1 seed last season? All they did in the playoffs was beat a Zionless Pelicans. Every year, a young go-hard team outperforms expectations in the REGULAR SEASON. And every next year after that, that team gets entirely over-hyped.
Isaac is funny. Westheimer in Denver is cancer. They got him to throw Luka to the floor twice a year... Trading KAT is respectable! Not sure why Hartenstein is viewed more than a journeyman, but ok Dallas bigs should dominate him and Chet.
The Mavericks are going to put this entire league on a MurderTrain.

I’m not taking ANYONE serious who talks as though Hartenstein is a fringe all-star player. That’s just disgustingly stupid talk. It’s incredibly silly to act like Curuso is Drew Holiday all of a sudden. These two dudes are definitely industry F’n plants. They could work for any Locked-On.
The preseason is never indicative on how they play during the regular season. Especially because Luka doesn’t play in any of them. It’s straight up delusional to take any stock in the preseason.
No how can the Mavs be favored?? 1. We have not seen our best player step on the court in preseason, so one must ask? Is the injury worse than we are being told. 2. Irving doesn't have a history of being super dependent especially in the early part of the season. 3. Klay now being our 3rd best player? Have we seen that in preseason. Liv being as great as many are saying but we are 0-3 in preseason have we really seen this big jump that many are already giving him. Then the next 3, Naji, Grimes, Gafford good but if Luka & Irving miss multiple games early can they lead the team to Wins? Hopefully, but I haven't seen it yet. IMO Hardy & Gortman have both showed well. SD, thus far very disappointing. PJ average right now and nagging injuries. Exum & Maxi can't stay healthy. OMax potential but just not ready yet. Powell and Morris??? So called great in the locker room but what value does that really bring to winning a game. I hope I'm really over reacting to our 0-3 preseason. But without Luka we look like a mid-tier team as best. Bucks game Hopefully will be a full roster for at least half of the game. They need to jell playing full speed in games to learn each other's tendances, on paper we should be better than last season. That will be determined comes first game just think it's going to take some time to become a winning Team.
Yeah I’m not freaking out, I am just not into Klay bringing his heavy personality, baggage and negative attention to the Mavs. Already over it and it’s not going to stop. I just want to have a fun team without someone dragging it down, and that’s what Klay will do. Sorry 🤷🏻♀️ Also people are down on the Mavs because they signed a 35 year old player who has been declining for years and has only made 3/30 in their last 3 games. It makes total sense.
Negative personality? Baggage? Do you even know Klay Thompson. You were probably one of the ones talking shit about Kai when he joined. Just shush and enjoy greatness
@@silverjaguar6744 Kyrie has been outstanding for us. He's received zero bad media coverage as a Mav. More national televised games, Christmas game, attraction of stars during trades......I'd say he's been an A+
