Thanks for doing this mate, very interesting. I am predominantly a cuban cigar smoker living in the UK however due to recent price hikes I am gravitating towards more New World. Padron's are incredible cigars so I was interested to see what your experiment proved. Thanks again.
My pleasure! Not sure what availability is like in the UK but I’ve found that many people who tend to prefer Cubanesque flavor profiles also really enjoy cigars from Illusione, Aladino, and CLE. I also highly recommend the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Lancero.
I have a box of padron 1964s that have been aging since 1998. One of the best cigars I’ve ever smoked. Paid a lot for them but worth every penny. Great review btw

Always appreciate your comments! All that matters is you enjoy your cigars in whatever way it brings you the most pleasure. For me it’s staying in the moment and focusing on the nuances I can pick out. Making these videos helps me with that.
Love these kind of comparison videos, Gu! Do you think there’s an optimal number of years in the cigar aging process? I can’t help but think of the higher aged cigar will be like higher aged whisky which starts missing some parts of characters and edges I truly enjoy from a distillery. By the way, you look like a celebrity here in Taiwan called 黃立成, a member of L.A. BOYZ!
Thanks for watching! In my experience, pretty much all cigars improve and smoke great in the 3-5 year range. Beyond that, it really depends on the cigar and unfortunately hard to accurately tell which ones age well for extended periods. For example, you would think an Oliva V would age well because of its boldness and complexity when young, but after 5 years it starts to lose flavor very rapidly. On the other hand, a Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey, which is mellower to begin with, are amazing at 12 years - maybe more but that’s the oldest one I’ve had. 😂 ill need to look up LA Boyz, I’m Taiwanese American, but don’t really follow Taiwanese pop culture.

I’ll store some boxes and age them by following your instructions. L.A. Hey Gu, would love to see more of these reviews, maybe just a initial experience so we dont have to wait for the aging, have you tasted the La armor de cuba mi amor, melanio master blend 3, aj fernandez new world, or undercrown shades? Would love to see a review for those. keep up the videos!
Sounds good. Have all that you listed in my humidor with the exception of the Undercrown Shade but I do have Undercrown 10 Maduro, Undercrown Maduro, and Undercrown Sun grown. I always have a hard time choosing what cigar to review next so these requests are helpful! Thank you.

Yeah MB3 such great value, my 2nd favorite from Oliva. The first being the Melanio and 3rd the serie V. Will get some vids of the ones you listed in the coming weeks.
