Prices are definitely dropping quite a bit. Purchased a 2021 2LT w/Z51 and only 4,200 miles for $73k in mid December of 2023. By far the best car you can buy in that price range imo
I bought my 2023 with only 1,000 miles 2lt for $63k. It was a great buy, but I was shopping around for a little bit. Great prices I found in CT, NH, RI, MA and I bought mines in NJ. They are between 63 to 68. Just in case someone is interested in buying one.
@Grass_hopper420 As someone who dreams big like you I would like to give some advice and an opinion here. Save, save, save, and save even more. Having a huge down-payment is going to save you a lot of money and stress. You would be amazed with what you can buy if you make things a priority. I drove a $20,000 convertible at 16. If you are willing to make sacrifices in other parts of your life you can buy some super nice stuff. The biggest issue at your age will be insurance. My insurance for my convertible at 16 was $300 a month. So save your money the best you can and make it a top priority and you'll get it.
“What can I even say” that was exactly my reaction when I saw the starting price of this car I just couldn’t believe it. Supercar looks, V8, insane performance, sick interior design and it comes in a hardtop convertible! And all of that you can have it for 70K-80K and used market will be even less going forward I mean all I can say is HATS OFF TO GM!
Its my dream car too, sadly z06 is gonna be out of my realm realistically but a C8 Grand Sport with the base v8 drive train and the widebody and suspension of the z06 would be the perfect car for me imo
I realize it's a matter of taste and opinion, I still like the looks of a C7 better. I love the performance of the C8 and C8 Z06, but I like the looks of my C7 Z06 better. Thanks for the video!
Just being honest. I bought one used around these that same price used and it was a nightmare .transmission went out after 1k miles of driving. GM dealer told me it was common with c8’s. I got rid of it. GM dealership was flooded with c8’s to get fixed. Buy used at your own risk. Get warranty and be prepared to use it.
@@Driven-Productions yep. Get a good warrenty with Chevy Dealership only. Enjoy it , its a fun car. Just beware and yes google c8 transmission issues its insane.
@@proxclusiv well I believe the 2021 is still under both warranty, and the 5 yr/60k would more than cover transmission while I own it. Still hate the down time if you do have an issue. Just surprised the brand of transmission they went with usually is solid.
I rented one this last summer and had a blast with it. The car is gorgeous, the interior is amazing, and it sounded fantastic. It did have a real nice linear pull to it. Also, the stock stereo system was damn good. I was impressed.
The Corvette interior is very high quality. If the cup holders aren’t opening and buttons are sticking then the previous owner didn’t respect the vehicle. Trust me, German car interiors fall apart too.
Just put my order in yesterday for rapid blue 1 LT all base, no add on. 65k msrp here in Ohio. Will be here 6-8 weeks. No one is paying 65k+ with 40k miles on it when u can build your own.
I liked it when it first came out and I had only seen pictures, now that they have been around a while and not that uncommon to see one, well the ass end is too big, I am glad I never got one. Maybe the c9 will be better
I’ll never forget the hype around the C8 when it first came out. Ferrari level performance??? Without Ferrari level maintenance problems??? For the price of a luxury SUV??? I think if covid never happened the C8 would have changed the entire car market
My personal opinion is that Chevy corporate should do what they said they would do and cut the allocations and or deliveries to any dealer that would gouge buyers. It's pathetic that dealers would use this car as a way to scam the buyer. I found a dealer in IL. ( Leach Wilson) that is willing to sell the car at MSRP. Aaron and the sales group there is just extremely helpful. The problem they're having is getting the allocation? So as usual you have the dealers that are gouging the buyer getting the allocations, and the dealers that are looking out for the buyer getting snubbed. Chevy stand by your word get the cars out to dealers that will work with the buyers. I understand that it is all about sales. The question is can't all the dealers that have buyers waiting get an allocation? I'm sure the sales of the car will be as strong and the people that have been waiting will be happy with Chevy. WOW what a great sales and corporate boost. The little guy who WANTS the car getting it.. Instead of the greedy self serving dealers getting the cars to the people that have the time and extra thousands to spend. Trust me I'm looking for a fully loaded Z07. I'm not looking for a baseline car, as I'm 65 and want to enjoy something I've waited my whole life for. C'MON CHEVY GET THE CAR OUT TO ALL THE DEALERS NOT JUST THE SELECT FEW EAST COAST AND OR GOUGING DEALERS. Get some allocations out to the smaller and mid range dealers as well.
I really want to buy ones of these one day . I’m going to be a nurse practitioner which on average make about $125,000 a year so I imagine I’ll have plenty of money . I was just curious maintenance wise if it’s like many other super cars where you have to repair this thing every two weeks or is it kinda like a regular car where sometimes it might have issues but it’s not like a regular thing . Mainly cause I notice many people selling these cars at such low mileage and you just wonder if these people have had enough with fixing it.
Rest assure, this is just a high end GM car. I moved from Germans to Corvette, everything is so much cheaper. An oil change in this cost literally cost one third of a base BMW 3 series.
Depending on what area of the country youre in (I’m in Virginia) I’d love to hear your feedback on my Tesla Model S Plaid now that you’ve driven the C8. If you’d like to use it for a video let me know.
I just bought a 2021 C8. The performance of this car is mind-blowing. It had 1,280 miles on it, I've driven it only 240 miles, and my wife & I can't wait to go on a rally with our club. It handles, drives, it flys. ... Supercar Fast!
i pissed off a chevy employee when looking at one i was like how much is this thing 120k i told homie ill wait a few months it will be at least half the price glad i was right rofl
@@darylcoston1554 exactly! And it’s not the base model, it’s a Stingray. The other Corvette is a Z06. People love to downplay everything. I’m just blessed to be able to afford a Corvette no matter the type.
Love this car. Looks like a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Maserati Cielo and performs better. I'm looking into the E Ray, so I'll get the 2.5 0-60, stealth mode, and I'll get it in convertible trim. It's easier to maintain than those foreign super cars and it's customizable so that's a win. E Ray costs way more but compared to the others it's 3-4x less.
id probably like this video another hundred times if I could...literally seen 30-or-so vids on the C8 & this is by far my favourite. I've also probably only commented on a few videos my entire life - this is one of them - probably because you driving this thing is exactly how i'd drive it & react to it. love the work mane, keep it up🤞
It's an extremely practical car especially when compared to any other high performance car in its class such as the NSX or Toyota Supra. It was multiple times the cargo space. I have taken mine on road trips with my wife. We had plenty of room for everything we wanted to bring with us.
@@JC-dc9oz the back of the c7 kinda does too just not as bad. Lol. That's why I have a c6. I prefer how clean the back of the c6 is.. the headlights in certain colors bugs me but I'll take that over camaro tail lights. I do prefer your interior though
I notice something really caught my attention is that for people who see exotic cars on the road is if they wear glasses exotic cars will look really exotic and sick and crazy , but when you wear contact lenses or have naturally 20/20 vision is that exotic cars or exotic sports cars look really trash and not that big of a deal anyway
