you probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
Pretty cool vid. I drive an 04 f250. Bought it for 10k with 160k miles from an older guy, all stock engine bay, I spent the money to have it bullet proofed and the fans and shit upgraded just for long life. 6" lift with bags for towing my bikes and shit around. I baby this thing. Never tried to burn out or anything. Love the lifted look but won't beat on it. I searched months for this particular truck. I researched months on issues and recalls on the 6.0s before I bought it. My fav body style but it isn't the most loved engine..lol. after 4500 here in Texas for the bullet proofing. I havnt had one single issue with her.
byron varnado if you take care of a 6.0 it will be reliable and last you. I know an old guy with a bone stock 6.0 with 100k and he hasn’t had a single issue
Good video by the way .... I wanted a GMC myself but I couldn't pass up on the great offer I got for my 2018 Ram 1500 lol ... now I am getting ready to lift mine in about 2 weeks or less ... love your channel my Man keep it up ... stay humble which is why I like coming around
Just put it on a lift and check mechanics underneath and check for blowby from the motor and oil leaks. I have no issue buying used long as it passes those tests
I’m in Minnesota with that 2’ of snow and -50F weather! If you have a truck and a snowmobile, you can’t complain! I got a 01 2500HD and a older Polaris race sled so once you get acclimated to the weather, it’s a winter wonderland... Oh yeah, I bought my lifted truck used. I got it for $10-$14k less than if I would have bought the truck stock and it has been great aside from the tranny I replaced. TRUCK NEEDS RECEIPTS TO MAKE IT A SAFE BUY! Parts receipts and maintenance receipts. Mine came with $7000 worth of receipts dating in the last few years including a new engine. Just saying, you can get lucky.
I am the second owner of a red 2006 MANUAL duramax with 126k. Never lifted just have some 33s on it with fuels . I have the reunel bumpers front and back with a winch on the front and back. Tinted windows , headache rack with lights . Super clean and I’m proud of it . I don’t think I could ever sell it because I love it so much and it’s so rare. I have one of your work for it key chains on the key ring :)
Ryno, one of my buddies has a 84 f250 two wheel drive. What he had to do in order to lift it was buy a lift for an f150. I’m not sure on the year of the f150 lift that he went with but he has been running that setup for at least 6 years and has had zero issues. Just so you know we have put that truck through some serious shit. If you are interested and want more info hit me up ✌🏼
I had the same problem when I was looking for my Cummins. I wanted an 06-07 5.9 with a mega cab or the long bed and everyone wants a fortune for them. Saw so many with 200k plus that people still wanted high teens to 25k for
Rims and tires show the style and age of a person if your looking to get a used truck if it has original stocks with good brand tires or aluminum rims it’s usually a good thing to me
Ryno I learned the hard way when I bought my 09 Z71 it was lifted and within 2 months it messed up real bad and then found out the guy that owned it abused the crap out of it so I sold it
One time I bought that pewter stepside truck kept it for a few years then ordered a white crew cab. Last year traded off my white 2008 Chevy LTZ with only 60,000 miles on it.
Appreciate this video. I’m currently looking at a truck with a lift already on it and am debating negotiating a lower price to either return it to stock or put my own lift on it.
Before I watch, I'll leave my opinions. Buying a lifted truck is an absolute great way to save money, just make sure that it's not pieced together with random crappy parts. I bought my 7.3 excursion with a BDS lift and tons of mods for only 9,000. A stock one costs at least that much, and there's no way I would have been able to save money to get a lift kit.
Look into cities like Oklahoma. I’m currently from here or Dallas area and there’s so many grandpa trucks here that get put away with low miles and start driving a car with their ol lady.
Up here in Northern Michigan you also have to be aware of a truck being used to plow snow. They take the plow setup off and sell it separately from the truck. Unless they disclose that information or you ask them you would never be able to tell.
I brought a used 2500 hd gasser guy had a lift kit and guy got it rebuilt 8,000 before I got had paper work for the last two owners still went check everything out put a better lift and heavy duty’s parts on it good luck buddy
I had baught a f150 stx with a 6" lift upgraded tires and rims, used fox for suspension. I asked what the upgrade cost the dealership before I baught it. Sales mgr. Showed the bill to them for upgrade said 10,000. I worked the price off knowing the mrsp. Was jacked up. But they do double dip on tires and rims because I asked where the original tires and rims were because that is still in the base price of the truck
Buying a truck already lifted with a good lift kit is cheaper in the long run. Upgraded hubs, Moog HD problem solver a arms ball joints are a must, HD tie rods, u joints, upgraded brakes to stop bigger tires. Getting a used one is just that, used. Gonna have to upgrade everything anyways so the more that's already done is gonna save you the money of having to do it all yourself starting from scratch. The risks you take when you buy used!
2cd owner holy grail owner here I even bought a lift kit about 6 months ago and can’t bring myself to put it on lol. I bought mine 2 years ago with 84k and no dents even in top of bed rails.
Ryno your always talking about getting some dodges on your channel I think a really cool video idea would be if you could get bug bmx and his new truck in one of your videos.
I bought a lifted truck from a stealership they wanted 109k for an f250 with 24" forces and 6" bds lift ......ppssttt... i paided 80k when I walked out......I worked them haha .....so u can get a deal if u know how to DEAL!!!!!!!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!
I got a 07 classic lbz 2500 with 195k and a 6 inchsub frame lift owned buy 2 ppl from a dealer in navada Also all stock , in the engine stock everything except for the lift and tires I got it for 18k but I traded in my 05 ram 1500 for 3k so I got my lbz for 15k
okay random 7.3 question. I have the same joying radio in my gmc and have had nothing but problems with the touch screen. just wondering if you have had the same problems as I don't know anyone else with that radio. T.I.A
oh boy i did everything you said what you weren't looking for and its been kicking me in the butt ever since. i would do anything to get ride of this damn thing but i just keep throwing money at it trying to fix it. my biggest issue is they had a smarty tuner on it and took the tuner but left the tune on the truck. well lets just say you can't over lap a tune without reflashing it back to stock and when you have a lift and over size tires the truck may or will not run right so i the dealership wont even touch it without me having the same type of tuner just in case it doesn't run right. i bought this truck from a small dealership in a small town
My lifted 2001 S10 ZR2 4wd was a nightmare after the first six months and i had to trade it in. They chopped up a skyjacker lift kit from a silverado and added in some rough country pieces. Yea... A 17 year old kid about to turn 18 getting his first loan isnt the smartest lmao I put around 4 grand in the front end with in two years and it still broke... And also i hate that tan... My 07.5 GMC Sierra came in that tan but it was my 84 year old uncles truck he ordered with an unusual mix of luxerys and basics (auto locks and manuel windows because he oldschool AF Lol). So it had no miles and was babied like crazy and i could live with hating the color due to the insane care it was given. Also im a painter and have many professional car painters as friends so once I finish up the prerunner kit its going a brandywine red or a pearl white.
Have you ever thought about making the ol 7.3 a 4WD? That would be such a cool build man long bed crew cab.. get you a Dana 60 front axle and a transfer case
My dad has a 02 Chevy lbz with 70k miles, and on Facebook I’m in a group a car sales group and There is a guy who has posted several lbz, and the one with the most miles was 150k and the least miles was 69, I hope you can read this and I hope it will help! The group name is Iowa cars and truck
YES! I’ve been looking at some LBZ’s and need someone that won’t baby it on there yt channel and someone that will actually hit the gas pedal let it have some air. Then if you start having major problems I’ll go back to looking at 7.3’s and 05-07 6.0’s
If your interested in looking out of state Northwest Motor Sports in the Seattle area is a great place to find trucks. They have a huge inventory. I have bought 2 trucks from them, they are a great dealer.
I like the video info but there are these dots in the left hand of your camera that have been on your past videos including this one. Just want to let you know for future ones.
dude those prices are outrageous. look at my hometown craigslist in Mobile, AL. There are tons of cateye dmax's for way less money, even if you paid shipping to CA it would still come out cheaper
Don’t do it, buy a stock one rather than a lifted truck that’s probably been running hot tunes, been beat to piss or been off road. Trans can be slippin on older trucks like those. Just get something that’s close to stock!
BUT be careful, there are still Hurricane Harvey damaged vehicles out there. A LOT of lifted trucks 'came to the rescue' in flooded areas but a lot of it was salt water. A year + later, those trucks may have obvious and not so obvious damage due to that salt water.
