Ageless design...that saying really suites this beauty

hi from Caracas, Venezuela. I own an Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0V6 12v 1998 in blue atollo metallizato from new. Manual roof, black interior with 83K km. Is not easy to keep in best shape, but I am doing it. I am still in love with this car, I consider it as beautiful, fast, great in any sense and the most beautiful spider ever designed by Alfa Romeo. Pininfarina and Enrico Fumia did something astonishing and the Busso v6 with 12v and 5 speeds sounds and reacts superb. I am very happy with the arrive of this model to USA and hope to find spare parts easily than in Europe. Thanks for the video

I have a 916 Spider and really enjoy your presentation. It is interesting to note that these cars all have manual transmissions, no automatics. There is purity and exclusivity with a car having only manual gear changes. Plus, it can act as a theft deterrent.

Hi from Brazil. I own an Spider 3.0 12v just like yours. I believe that is going to become a collectible car very soon (the V6 version), since not so many have been produced. The engine really sounds amazing the pulls hard. My car is going an large process of restoration. Congrats for your Spider.

That phase 1 dashboard/centre console was the best in my opinion because it looks so classy and simple although I prefer the phase 2/3 seats slightly. Having black paint over black leather looks awesome. Wonderful car and great review!! Thank you

Nice video! Gtv/Spider is definitely a modern classic. Gorgeous design, great sountrack and lots of fun to drive! Some things to mention are that according to Alfa the Gtv version is 64% stiffer. So for those sensitive to scuttle shake something to consider when deciding. Spider is more a relaxed cruiser, Gtv for more agressive driving. Another point is the engine options. There is also the option of 2.0 liter V6 turbo. As standard it is just over 200hp so between the twinspark and 3.0 V6 but with a healthy torque and nice turbo woosh. Unfortunately the natural V6 is still more glorious at full throttle. You can also put in Squadra ecu chip and have 240-250hp without any other modifications. And as it is a turbo, the sky is the limit, I know there are 400+hp versions out there :) 3rd, and maybe most importantly you can make the fact that it is front wheel drive a non issue by fitting a Quaife atb torsen type limited slip differential. It really transforms the car and I can't recommend it enough. Completely maintenance free as well. Best wishes from a Gtv TB owner in finland :)

Great video! I'm considering to add a Spider 3.0 to my collection ( 1983 Alfetta 2.0 and 1988 75 V6 3.0). Yesterday I visited Auto d'Epoca here in The Netherlands, and the owner mentioned that he sold a Spider 3.0 V6 to a guy from US a few years ago. Coincidence or are you the American guy? 🙂

Styling masterpiece,the only "shame" it is the front wheel drive,but the engine suits perfectly on this car.Really perfect,unfortunatly the video doesnt give 100% the sound experience.
