Should You Buy iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2024? The aim of this video is to find out if the pandemic 2020 iPhone 12 Pro Max is worth it now that it is $800 cheaper than before!
I bought 12 pro max last week Friday, But since that day I bought it, the phone shown on the screen when I want to charge, charging is not available because liquid has been detected in the lightning connector, Disconnect to allow the connector to dry. Please what can I do to the phone
I have a 12 pro max that I’m using as my daily driver in 2024, I’ve had it since December of 2020. Just got my battery replaced by Apple. I love this phone. It’s my favorite iPhone I’ve had so far. Still works great, no signs of slowing down, especially after the battery replacement. I plan to keep it for awhile longer.
@@loitersquad93mine was $89, and it comes with a warranty in case something happens. But I’ve been getting my battery replaced at Apple for awhile. My only advice is to make sure you have your password for Apple memorized when you go in. I forgot mine and had to come back in. Also get a appointment early in the day, and you’ll be in and out quickly.
I jut got my iPhone 12 Pro Max for Christmas last year…. I just love it so much after four years having a iPhone 7plus. Just love the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Nothing wrong with it.
Exactly, I’ve had my 12 pro max for 4 years zero issues still to this day. I bought the 15 pro max and noticed no difference so I switched back to my 12
I have the 12 Pro Max since it launched in 2021? Anyways, the battery health is at 77% right now with heavy gaming, charged using original charger and belkin charger only. Used google maps for 8+ hours everyday for my job. Alot of drops on hard floor almost every week during work with dents and scratches on the sides. And still never broke the screen. Phone is a tank!!!!
I got the iPhone 12 pro max. The 1st day came out 2020. My first iPhone 256 GB. And I still got it. I'm not gonna update yet. Your battery percentage 86%, that's not too shabby.
I upgraded my IPhone 6 Plus from 2014 to the 12 Pro Max in 2021. I’ll literally use a phone until it’s literally unusable. This time I’ll wait until the IPhone 16 Pro Max comes out this year because I heard that Apple is gonna make significant changes to the next line up.
Hello! I bought a 12 pro 128gb gold in december for 431 USD. Since then the performance is excellent. The phone is lag free runing on IOS 17.2.1. The cameras is still amazing for a 3 year old phone. I am happy with my purchase. The battery health is on 81% and the screen time is still great for me. I am planning to use this phone for 3 - 4 years. Before that i used a Xiaomi MI A2 4/64 gb.
@@Medbyo it’s not that bad it doesn’t start showing issues until 60 percent and u can always get the battery replaced u don’t have to buy a new phone the 12 pro is still recent 3 years old isn’t that bad
I've been using an iPhone 12 Pro Max 500gb since 2021 and it still rocks in 2024. I have seen no reason to upgrade. I keep hearing about overheating issues, mine has never overheated. It is still running on the original battery and functions fine, there are no limitations whatsoever. I use the phone for everything. People are saying to get the 13 Pro Max instead, but the 12 Pro Max is known to take more accurate photos than the 13 Pro Max. At this point, those differences are probably negligible, with so many more camera features added on the 15 series. But if it's working, I'm going to hold off before spending $1500 on the latest iPhone. I don't see myself buying another iPhone until the 17 series, maybe the 16 series.
i believe the overheating issues r from new batteries, just got mine replaced and now my 12 pro max has turned into the sun, getting a couple lag spikes cos of the heating sometimes too.
I still have the 12 Pro Max since launch. Battery health is shot, but otherwise, pending a battery replacement, it still serves me well since I got it. 👍 I don't play mobile games anymore and I primarily use the phone for regular phone things, ride sharing apps, social media, and camera.
If I’m completely honest, I’m watching this iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is the very same size that my Mom is using currently she’s been using it for I think 6 to 10 months, now of her phone usage, but the colour is Pacific blue right now
still currently using my 12 pro max blue and i don’t think im letting this go anytime soon, it came out 2020 so i know it’ll last me for a long time till further notice
Icl, I’m 20 and I’ve had an IPhone 8 Plus since 2019 and I’m finally getting a new phone, reason being is that technology isn’t important to me unless it’s making me money I don’t let it control my life I’ve been able to use my phone perfectly fine a I’ll be honest I’m getting a 12 pro max I don’t see the hype and necessity in new technology 🤷🏾♀️
Have been using this phone since launch, replaced the battery 3 weeks back, i;e when this video was posted, and the phone feels like new to me, not letting it go anytime soon, using it like a beast everyday
May 2024 and I just upgraded my XS Max for a 12 Pro max. Ok, now have the three cameras and zoom options. With all iPhones, stick them in a gel case and they are all basically the same
I still use a 12 Pro Max I'm on my 2nd one due to 1st one being damaged by pressure washer water. who really needs to upgrade yearly? Apple should ask themself that instead of doing yearly releases.
Got it when it came out. Only used it for few months. I hated that the battery gets hot at the back. After a while. Even watching a movie on it. It gets hot. Making it oncomfortable to hold.
I had the 13 pro max for 7 months and downgraded to a 12 pro max bc the screen broke on the 13 pm. I can give u the most honest review because I experienced both just recently. The 12 pro max is lighter, thinner, performs exactly the same and battery lasts like 20% less or so. The only thing i noticed was the 60fps (which i got used to in like 1 week) and now i don’t even feel i downgraded, it feels the same to me but just with less battery
Also, the 13 pm felt just too chunky, this 12 pro max is just better in hand. But battery is just worse but is still more than enough for a heavy user. I forgot that it charges at the same speed but lasts much less, which sucks
There’s also absolutely 0 lag on both. U can do whatever normal user tasks like media and photos and both performed the same to me and I consider myself very picky and I hate noticing any lag, but I felt the smoothness of both
Thank you for saying this. I was just thinking about downgrading to this from my 13 pm because my screen has issues where it wouldn’t respond to my touch screen sometimes and sometimes my camera has trouble focusing.
My sister still use the 12 pro and i borrowed it once in this year(2024) . This phone is still a beast . I'm a android user by the way . But planning to get 14pro this year .
I'm going to buy used iPhone 12 or 13 pro max.. cause,,I'm tired of using Android phones,a& i know iPhones suits me because I don't need customisation and I focus on all rounder phones with a great optimisation and security ,not Android phones which some have too many bloatware s
My sister in law used to have this model and in the same white color but then she gave it to me two years ago as she was going to upgrade to a newer model. I accepted the offer and went from iPhone XR to this model and I'm very happy with it so far, the only weird thing is that it sort of turns itself off at random times (it doesn't completely turn itself off but shows a buffering circle, then comes back on) and it's slightly annoying but only happens occasionally and not often enough to be a problem really. So overall I'm happy I got this phone from my sister in law and it's definitely a very solid phone! :)
Another great video Nick. It’s amazing how much fun watching videos on older models can be. I mean I’ve been watching you and several other techno experts for years now and I’ve learned quite a bit so now it’s fun to see how technology has advanced and to see the kind of bargains you can get on phones that are four or five years old but still do everything that every person would need and do it at a great price The average person wouldn’t have to worry about battery life if all they do is make phone calls, social media, and text. If you can get through the day without having to charge your phone doesn’t even matter if you only have 10 or 15% left because all you have to do is recharge it. I see a lot of people walking around with a series phones they bought for three or $400 when they could’ve had an iPhone which I think would probably have been a better buy? Thanks for making things understandable for us every day guys. You have a friend in Columbus Ohio!
I’ve had my 12 Pro Max since 2020 and Nov 2024 will be 4 years, but I’ll be upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro and just go with the regular size iPhone since it got a bit annoying caring a big phone, I love how regular versions are very portable and pocket friendly
My quick answer is "No". As a bit of background, ... I've been using the XS for a couple of years now, after upgrading from the 7. My kids, meanwhile, upgraded from the X to the 13 Pro when the mid-year dark green model was released. I've always hated the weight of their phone. I was considering swapping to a 13 Mini when my XS loses the latest iOS. However, with the new Pros being Titanium, that idea is probably redundant - unless the new iPad Mini is released before I need to upgrade. Thanks, as always, for the content.
I got my 12 pro max at launch and got a battery replacement last year. Despite not having a nicer refresh rate its mostly the same as the new phones and what do you need a phone to do other than the normal social things. I'm probably going to keep mine until the 17 pro max
Reason not to buy 12 pro max in 2024 1/ touch response super slow 2/ 60hz 3/ internet suck if you live in a place not fully covered network 4/ High price you’d better get a new android midrange phone with 90fps pubg capability chipset and 512gb/12gb ram
bro if those reasons can make you persuade phone buyers to not get the 12pm, then you spend wayyy to much time on a phone and need to look at other stuff
I was going to go for this one until I realized the 13 pro max has much better battery life and I really care about battery life. So 13 pro max again, for me. I said again because the one I have is having touchscreen issues. Hopefully I get a job and end up with this phone by towards the end of the year since it’s summer right now.
Had to sell my 14 pro max, cause of life currently able to get the 12 pro max for around $300 new idk if i should go for it and aim for upgrading to the 14/15 max by end of the year
Me and my XR we are here watching this and wandering how is it possible that we are still enjoying the life and we do not even think of upgrading until they get rid of that thing they call dynamic island
Depends. If you can get it cheap enough yes. Otherwise go for the 13 pro max. I have a 12 pro max and a family member has a 13 pro max, very little difference over all but 13 will have support longer.
Got mine with a discount all up $596.00 bargain love big mobile I’ve had I phone 13 I phone 8 I phone 8 plus, I phone XS max, now I have I phone 14 on a special with my provider pixels as well Oppo Samsung, I am using I phone 12 pro max and I phone 14
Its just FOMO for which someone would upgrade as soon as the new comes out.. otherwise whats the need? To get a new nearly same looking and functioning thing.. its all psychological.. i know people who still use an iphone X V happily. They dont look for validation and would buy something they dont even have money for
Hi Nick I have just seen you video for the iphone 12 pro max , I would like to thank you for sharing your experience and your opinion on that subject, a little advise could you tell me where I can get this device around 400 ~300 USD brand new sealed unlock.once again thank you for efforts have a nice day wish to have your reply see you O

am trying to get my first iphone and am thinking on 2 options there is a 12 pro max with 512 gb and the other is 13 max for the same price but 128 gb iplay games and a bit off a heavy user over all should i get 512 or make a sacrifice and get 128 thay are the same price so plz ppl who have used both could i get some advice
I mean if u like big phones and the 14 plus is around the same price it is a decent option but if you mean regular 13 or 14 they are smaller phones and people wanting a pro max probably want a big phone
@@LN_826 Sure, but for me the regular phones are big enough. You get more screen in a smaller form than the previous plus sized phones like the iPhone 6s Plus thanks to having no large bezels.
worst iphone i’ve ever had, the design looks outdated, and 60hz, the phone overheated too much, it gets scratched easily, screen dims randomly even when it’s all the way up
how about you stop looking at a phone all the time and do something else, you’re saying it’s the worst phone you’ve ever had because of its hz and it doesn’t look cool?
I think it depends on the country you are in? In my country which is Philippines, mostly second-hand phones of 12 pro max/pro and even 11 are sold and available here
