I just got one 3 days ago. An older man bought the M1 Air 2 months prior from Apple for 999. He sold it to me for $550. He only used it twice. He didn’t like MacOS so he went back to Windows. He also had an M1 iMac for the same price. Crazy!! I love this thing so much more than my $2100 asus gaming laptop. 😂
Got one a week ago for $400 as an upgrade from my 2014 air. Kid said he tried it for school but wanted to go into construction instead. It only had 13 battery cycles, basically unused. A couple dings in the metal edges but that’s not important to me. I sold my iPad Air after trying that world and deciding it wasn’t for me. This laptop is crazy
I got this M1 Macbook Air here in my country brandnew for only $620 what a banger of a purchase this is. Now I can work with my freelance job not connected to any wires for as long as 10 hours
What a banger review.I've been watching this laptop this last few days as is going 7hundred dollars right now. And it looks like it's definitely handle video editing
I purchased mine in October of last year for $745. Was seriously thinking about trading it in to Apple and purchasing tge new M3, with trade of $445 it would come out to roughly $645. I use it everyday, but never pro things. Maybe later I'll switch, but you showing its power remind me i could just leave my money in the bank. Thank you
Nice! In reality, especially with Apple, the margin of difference in performance is rarely ever huge. The change from Intel chips to Apple Silicon were the biggest leap EVER. But it’ll likely be 4-5 generations of Silicon before it’s an absolute must to upgrade. I feel it’s the same logic with their phones. No need to buy the latest every year.
I left SA in 1979 after living there since '68...shocking how much the Rand has been devalued. I bought my base MBA new in 2020 for full price.. These new prices make it tempting to get a backup..
As I didn't´t have a powerful laptop since so many years. My gf has an old 2016 MBP and we use an. IMac and an iPad so I jump to a base M2 MBA and it is slowly become my best creative tool. when on the go it is my main laptop for my creative workflow: Photo editing, planning contest and esxhibitions...There are not so many differences between the M series. I don´t think to upgrade to M3 maybe to M5 for M6. Now those machines are so powerful you don´t need a MBP unless for specific very professional work. Until my workflow will demand more power I will continue with those Air series. They are amazing compare to my 16gb 512 SSD HP Laptop this machine is a real killer and it does everything in silence with my HP for each photo editing task with other windows open I hear the fans and also some freeze while this M2 do those things in a fast and smooth way. My best investment.
But a M1 Macbook Air bought new in 2024 will only get about 2 more years of Operating System updates/renewals won't it? Or will Apple give the M1 OS a number of more years OS updates?
Just ordered this "beast" today, and waiting for shipping. I was doubt even after I watch lots of review because it's my first time using mac (I use ipad for work Last 2 year). I almost change my mind to buy M2 MBA but realised I can get what I need in this M1 MBA. And after watching your review, OMG I believe it's my best deal to get m1 MBA right now.
I bout a open box at Best Buy for $645 and I paid an extra 175 for geek squad and apple care yearly subscription and they’ll let you know when you can renew the subscription if you want more than 1 year
I love my m1 air! I use for all things telehealth office but also do quite a bit of music production in Logic Pro and can have multiple plugins no issues obviously I don’t have 20 tabs open I will just run like two heavy programs at a time light room and Logic. And I. Regards to camera I much prefer continuity camera over any of the built in webcams as continuity looks amazing.
You may have read that the 256 GB SSDs in base M2 Macs are unusually slow. This is because the dual 128 Gb flash modules in the M1 Mac are replaced by a single 256 Gb flash module in M2 Macs with half the data transfer rate of M1 Macs. This means that these $881 256 GB M1 MacBook Airs are a better buy than 256 GB M2 MacBook airs and so I would recommend them for cash strapped customers. Note that this problem has been fixed in 256 GB M3 Macs which have reverted to using dual 128 GB flash modules again.
@@biharibatman2941 for what i use it? no, i think the m1 it's perfect, it's cheaper and it lets you do everything that u need, no in a super professional way.
I ordered a 15 inch MacBook Air m2 refurbished from Apple yesterday are you guys telling me I should return it and purchase a brand new m1 air 13 inch from Walmart for $700?
They say macos updates is an issue with the M1 is that true Its my first time buying a macbook should I go for a m2 8gb or m1 16 gb for enough storage and long use

I use caput on my m1 MacBook Air and it works very well just idk why but I think there is one or two bugs with some of the lightning animations although adobe is horrible if you do anything intensive as 8gb ram is just not going to cut it and it lags
@@MattLoui welcome, i wanna ask if i am just starting vlogging now and i wanna buy laptop is the macbook air m1 256gb ssd and 8gb ram is good? i am uploading video content 2 or 3x every year
Hey, it was certainly enough for CapCut editing. We’ve since been using the M1 MacBook Air a lot more and it continues to be a perfect editing experience, even with 4K, 422 100mbs Sony footage.
I unfortunately didn’t get to test Resolve. I know Resolve can sometimes be a little more Intensive on your hardware, mainly with titles and fusion. There must be a review somewhere online testing Resolve - this was mainly a CapCut editing review.
Depends on the IT department at a job. Some allow MacOS products, especially FAANG companies. Smaller and mid-size companies not as much. Also, make sure they use Tableau instead of Power BI. Power BI doesn't work on MacOS natively.
You can download the Microsoft suite on a MacBook. Alternatively, just use a Google email and you’ll have access to all of google’s ‘office’ products. Exactly like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
