What ever you do if you're looking at scooters be aware of the trigger being by the brakes if you don't have a kill switch connection for the moter to stop when the breaks are applied. I bought a used FLJ thinking i did enough homework and around a year later I'm flying over a car that I tried to break for at least i thought I did, but the trigger is right under the break lever and in the split second reaction of gripping both the moter has no problems powering through that without the kill switch. That for whatever reason isn't on FLJs. If i realized this at the time I would have maybe tried to get some money from FLJ in court. But I'm just glad I didn't get really badly injured or worse. Also before you pull the trigger on a scooter try riding both without moters and go with what is more comfortable. As far as balancing and whatnot. But you definitely have the portability and component aspects of the choice being made.

I love my electric scooter. I have a Solar EQ, which does a little over 40mph, which is perfect for flowing with traffic in town. Most of the time, of course, I'm not going that fast. Cruising around at 25-30 mph is fun, and makes for quick commuting, or trips to the store. Once you get used to it, it isn't nearly as unsafe as people say. I wear a helmet, because I'm not an idiot, but 10" wheels with suspension are really stable even over uneven roads, and even at higher speeds. Electric scooters are really affordable and portable. They are extremely practical, but I cannot stress enough how much fun they are to ride. Scooters are definitely a great option.

I just bought the Rictor S9 for my wife, because of this video. Delivery is supposed to be July 1. She never learned to ride a bicycle, but she has ridden scooters. I've been riding E-bikes for a few years and she hasn't been able to ride with me, but with this we can start doing some rides together. We will be buying a regular road bike for her as well so that she can learn to ride on that instead of an E-bike. For now, the scooter will get us out on some short-ish rides together. I appreciate this video, thank you!
