I appreciate you on SO MANY LEVELS 1) I very RARELY hear non POC (persons of color) simmers talk about the lack of ethnic hairs and I appreciate you shouting that out. 2) your reviews are unbiased, informative, and truly entertaining 3) you're hilarious! 4) your content is ALWAYS out of the box and creative. I've watched all of your "history of ___" videos and your attention to detail is amazing.

The ONLY thing I want to know is if there are mermaid toddlers. Imagine, chubby toddlers splashing around with their stubby little tails I would DIE

I’m sure you probably know now but there are 4 brand new careers. Diver Fisherman Conservationist Lifeguard EA also unlocked the traditional “teen” part time careers for Adults.

I wish there was the ability to run your own Resort like in The Sims 3

About the traditional cooking method, it's called a hangi. Maori use it to cook meats, vegetables, basically anything. (And you're right, it is Polynesian.)

You should do a limited pack build with Island Living, Jungle Adventure, and Movie Hangout Stuff. They all have a few items with a similar vibe, especially the first two

I'm gutted theres no hotel option. I loved that aspect of Sims 3.

Honestly this expansion seems like it has just barely a little more content than a game pack. I kind of expect an expansion to add new gameplay mechanics that change the overall game experience like the fame system, clubs, seasons ect. I didn't get my hopes up for resorts to return but I wish there was some type of new venue like hotels or motels.The stilt foundation is very nice though. It seems like all the new things are very contained to the island

I actually really enjoyed being able to run your own resort in Sims 3 and I kinda wish they add that in eventually.

im so so so happy about the whole environmental aspect of the pack!! im especially excited for the off-the-grid lot trait, i have been DYING for something like this and although i initially wished it would be its own pack, i am more than content with getting it within an expansion :)

honestly the hair meshes are so great! I usually cant stand ea meshes for hair and only use cc for hair but this pack has such a good set of hair meshes!!!

The thing I loved the most about Island Paradise in TS3 was the diving lots, I just loved being a mermaid and spend my days swimming with the little fishes (and sharks) under water, which is why I'm a bit disappointed that this is not a part of this pack. I honestly can't see the point of mermaids if we can't follow them *under* the surface, but maybe that's just me :)

The thing about interactive diving and lag; In Sims 3, the whole world/neighbourhood was loaded, including all the packs, all the customization AND on top of that, the diving spaces. Laggy as hell. In Sims 4, only one lot and the neighborhood surrounding it is loaded. They "optimized" it (I use the word loosely because I think they were either lazy or didn't know how to solve the lag problem). So why not just make the diving another loading screen or inlcude it in the lot? If I had to guess, either they were running out of time or opted just not to make it because they wanted to focus on other stuff. I liked the diving in Sims 3 so I'm kinda sad to see it's not there, but the interactive cleaning of the world makes up for it big time.

Sims 3 also had Hotels. That was a nice piece of gameplay, that came with Island Paradise Expansion. It seems like we might get Hotels only as a separate Game Pack, just like restaurants with Dine Out. Though this Expansion wouldn't hurt to have at least one hotel.
