I don't like Eliza cuz she's always kicking over my trash can and generally being an asshole to my sims 😂 Legit never had a good encounter with her.

Anytime I start a new game, I give Bob a better life. I make him smexy Mr. Flapjacks. A few motherlodes and raising the muscular slider. Max out his skills with mcc. I love his face.

I kind of always thought that the Pancakes were an alternate universe version of Bob and Betty Newbie from TS1, but that's just based on the names.

I don't think either of them are bad. Going off of the description, the house built by EA, and good points mentioned in this video, this is my analysis. They both desparately want different things. Eliza wants the best but she doesnt work for it. Bob wants to make her happy, but he has a dream. Him working towards that is not satisfying what she wants out of the relationship. Him working hard regardless of her lack of acknowledgment led him to become unmotivated. He started getting lazy because there was no point in trying if nothing was working. They moved into separate rooms. Eliza wanted to turn him back into the right direction so she put an exercise machine in his room. They started working on their relationship and being mature about it. (Hence the friend and romance levels) (also me making an excuse for EA so the story in my head makes sense...) (I think this is where we come into their story. They are still not happy but we can see the steps that have been taken to making things better.) Then, finally, in one last desparate attenpt to save their marraige, they have a child together. They end up happier than before, but it is still a flawed relationship.

Bob and Eliza sound exactly like my parents so this was the most believable relationship in the whole sims game for me. Slob father, narcissist mother, sleeping in separate bedrooms, no friends not even with each other. Oof

I spoke to Eliza during the "welcome wagon". I was living in windenburg. She turned up at my door every day after that, she'd also call lots at ridiculous times which might just be autogenerated. She then started just letting herself in and her mood let was always sad. There was a lot of love related thought bubbles during their conversation and I hadn't enforced that.

I think both Bob and Eliza are good people. They got their flaws, what with Bob being a slob and Eliza being a stalker. I just think they need to split and date other people. I don't even know how they became a couple, tbh.

I made them Divorce and had Eliza run away with Cassandra Goth. Now they’re married.

My theory about the bedrooms is that Bob's weird plain bedroom used to be the study/fitness/storage room, but Eliza kicked Bob out of their bedroom, so that's why he's sleeping there and why it's so mismatched, and also why the fitness machine is there.

I like Eliza. Bob was obsessed with one of my sims and wouldnt stop calling and coming over to eat all his left overs :/ I liked ur theory about Eliza wanting Bob to work out/lose weight. I always took it as Eliza had the exercise machine in the spare room and Bob just moved into it once things started going south in the relationship 🤷🏻‍♀️

am I the only one who deleted every EA Sim to have more empty houses for my own created Sims? (I like to create my own stories, I have nearly 80 Sims....)

u could do the dreamer family, or broke family from ts2. they have interesting backgrounds.

My headcanon: Eliza fell in love with Bob when she heard his dreams and ambitions regarding the cooking career. As her traits alaign, she lives trough Bob. Or she just wanted. As she married him, she saw his "gloomy and not so ambitious" lifestyle. The marriage wend down hill, but they stick togheter for who knows what reason: for the kid, for the hope of Bob becoming someone or changeing him to be the perfect cook (alas the controling Eliza part). I would think that she bought the fitness machine for Bob to shape up.

Theory on how the Pancakes got their house and furniture... When you have Bob kill Eliza he gets an achievement as a Black Widow which means he has had five spouses die...Bob is really a serial killer. He marries rich and then kills his wives.

Me: being oblivious to the Pancakes situation, having a grocery store and employing Eliza. She's really good and my first and highest salesperson. Really a workaholic. 🤣

Maybe she was sold for some grain and 3 chickens to Bob

I also wanna see all the Simmers “Fixing The Pancakes” like a challenge, fix their image, their home, their social lives, their marriage.

I have wicked whims on extreme, and the Pancakes are everywhere.

I actually believe in Sims 4 Bob is heavily depressed and Eliza is the one who is the toxic partner.

I think that Bob should have a twin brother named Braiden that randomly moves in with the Pancakes. When he arrives, Eliza and Bob have just started couples counseling so they are woohooing again. But Braiden is much more attractive than Bob and Eliza starts an affair. Eliza falls pregnant and doesn't know whose the baby is. That's my idea for making the Pancakes interesting :)

Great job on these as always! I honestly never paid much attention to the Pancakes in my games, but it was interesting to learn a bit more about them 😊 I'd love to see one of these about the Caliente sisters as well, they've always been favorites of mine!

Lmao. I redid them and was gonna split them up (again, I always do)...but then I made him work out and get super hot and then she wanted him back. Ive played them a few times, different ways. And I never hated Eliza, but then I didnt see her stalking or anything like that..

I'm so mad there aren't more of these videos already. I started watching at Bella's and now am hooked! Thank you for the content! I look forward to it every so often! I am a Bob lover. Bob can't change who he is, but he still pushes through. I like to think that Eliza fell in love with Bob because of his dreams and talent. She knows that he is going somewhere and has put faith in him. But they're at a rough point in their relationship now because Eliza isn't doing anything. Bob resents her for not working toward a dream. Plus Eliza drags him everywhere, ugh. So that's why having Iggy works, it gave Eliza a job and Bob a son so now they're thankful for each other. Sorry I rambled.

My sim used to live in a bar... Bob Pancakes would always come by and joke and chat with her, he was just a friendly, good-natured guy. She moved in with ghost boyfriend after getting tired of the bar scene, but to this day their still good friends. Bob Pancakes always puts a smile on my face, I think that though he may be lazy and average, he is really just a sweetheart deep down. I think that is why Bob and Eliza are still together. At the end of the day, he just wants to make it work somehow. I've never really been one to get attached to families that come with the game, but I just love Bob. He is so relatable...there is a little Bob Pancakes in all of us, you know... #TeamBob

I always imagine Bob & Eliza were probably high school sweethearts? It's general easier to have an opposites attract relationship in school, because even if you have nothing else in common, you high school and everything related to it in common. I imagine they're one of those couples that rushed to get married and get a place as fresh out of school as they could manage, and after all the planning and events and honeymooning was over, realized they didn't have anything to talk about anymore. They probably had these big dreams of Bob instantly taking off as a famous chef and Eliza being the charming socialite wife who throws extravagant lunch parties and reality just hit them hard.

When she was talking about their upstairs and how they sleep in different rooms..all I could hear was Dan Howell going, “Ohhhh, they sleep separately do they?”

I think that maybe he is just the way he is (boring, sloppy, doesn’t seem to have a lot of interests) because Eliza is a lot to handle and probably is always pushing him around to do whatever to get this “perfect life”, so much that he now just has kind of lost who he is trying to be what she wants him to be. wow that was so deep

Omg I wish I had seen this sooner! Your grandma’s boomer comment made me laugh so hard. My parents were able to buy a house on a combined salary of $200/week which is equal to $1266/week now. It was much easier to afford a house, a car, and family because boomers didn’t have extra expenses like education and healthcare. Lots more was covered by the government in the USA back then and I bet in the UK it’s a similar story. 🤣
