I'm driving Jazz i-dtec for the past 7.5 years... It's a great city and highway family car... Even in heavy Chennai traffic, I am getting 22kms/lr... While I'm driving to my native Tenkasi, I always getting 23 to 24kms/lr... Currently I'm using Indian oil Exta Green diesel... Except its low ground clearance, this car really Jazz my each and every second of my driving... Superb handling and comfortable car... I will also go for Elevate as my next car if the car powered by i-dtec... Thanks for making this video..
I'd love to buy a Jazz diesel for my college commute, but I already have the petrol model, which gives poor mileage, so I'm searching for another alternative. I currently take the bus or sometimes my mom's 2.5 V Innova which also gives 10 KMs/Litre in the city which is not enough.
Finally...! Thanks for the iDTEC content! @motowagon. I have waited for long time for this. Majority had discussion about iVTEC but not iDTEC even though it's a Disel engine. Thankyou once again. Keep up. :)

Its a bit clattery and more noisy than other diesel engines but otherwise definitely one of the best. I would still prefer the fiat 1.3 and k9k 1.5 over this.
Y is that Motowagon never considers WRV as a potential car in any segment either in crossover products or a sub compact suv in podcast or regular videos, coz I use that product for the past 5 yrs in idtec engine, such a wonderful product. Do explain if u read my comments , thanks
U should definitely do a video on k9k. It's the only diesel engine renault nissan had. Had 4 tunes. You can talk abt the differences and the imapact it has caused since it has been discontinued
@@Iamwitcher I prefer the 64 and 85 over 110. The 110 had a lot of turbo lag in city driving. The 85 is a good sweet spot with minimal lag but 64 has practically no lag. The micra and pulse with their light kerb weight are just amazing in the city
Initially I didn't have a good opinion on diesel engines.. but listening to many of your videos, I understand that it is not so bad as the society deems it to be. Thanks for the content 👏
I’m having 2014 iDtec, I had filled diesel for ₹1900 after reserve reached. It came to reserve after like 200kms Like it just run 19L of diesel with only 200kms Do I miss anything to maintain Can anyone give me suggestions to get a decent mileage
Bro, Iam using WRV idtec for 5 years with 1 lakh km covered, fuel economy and durability is the best. I had contacted you for buying Elevate, I dropped the plan just because of WRV economy, driving experience, durability and services from Honda. Yes, bit costly every, 10k KM service is around Rs.10k. 😂
I bought a Honda city 2014 VX model IDTEC in Pune for 6.15 lakhs . Only 24K kms driven . I am liking it . Initially I was hesitant . Now I am glad that I bought this
Just bought a IDtec City 2015 just for the engine's efficiency and reliability 10 days ago with 72k on the odo and CSR. Clocked 3k in the last 10 days to prove I'm not wrong.
Tata revtorq (diesel) engine technology detail review poduga because tata revtorq (diesel) engine is only available in budget car like altroz, nexon. Review poduvegala??
Mine is 2016 model city idtec running 2.10L kms with one time all suspensions change and steering rack change that was because of the big tyres 205/55 R16 8.5j alloy profile best diesel car in that segment
When Honda did thorough research in Indian Roads and Drivability before launching its Diesel, IDTEC, I don't know why Honda has not focused or Concentrate its IDTEC Engine updation to CAFE 2 Norrms or its well refined Hybrid Technology in its Honda Elevate..
I own a facelift 4G diesel City. I get 23-25 kmpl, depending on how I drive-sometimes 20 if I push it harder. Here are a few things you need to know before getting an iDTECH: 1. Someone who knows how to extract mileage and its value will never sell it easily in the used market. It's a rare find that requires more caution. 2. If someone sells it, there must be only a few reasons, like a minor oil leak in the engine (common find but can be easily rectified), a strong clutch due to half-clutch usage, or they might be looking for an upgrade or an automatic. 3. The entire suspension and steering rack replacement costs around 66k in the showroom, including labor charges. If you find yourself a good/average car, then negotiate, keeping the above points in mind. You can replace the suspension and steering rack. Honda’s iDTECH are gem for a used car; you'll easily get your money back in mileage, even if you spend some bucks at the service center 😉
Live Long Diesel ❤ Bro amazing content 👌 Please do a video on legacy Diesels Fiat MJD 1.3 , 1.6 then Toyota 3.0 , 2.8 , Mitsubishi & Hyundai 1.4 & 1.6 diesels ⛽️
Only 2 minus if this could have rectified this engine is king in market as ivtech - No turbo - So noisy.. we can easily feel the sound in inside the cabin while cursing more speed
Hi Asir bro, A very good info and perspective of your thoughts on iDtec diesel is awesome. I’ve one small clarification: I’ve 2014 Honda city iDtec I didn’t get enough mileage (like around 13 to 15kmpl), though it is running 2.6L kms above What should I consider to get the good mileage?
