You are so inspiring! I don't know how you manage to keep your succulents flourishing and doing so many propagations. Thank you for all you share. I've learned so much from you and look forward to watching and listening to your videos!! :)
Thank you for that as always. I have heaps of babies that haven't grown very much. I had to move slowly of them this week because it is just too hot here in the far north of NZ. The bigger plants are loving it. I'm thinking they are out of nutrients as well as water. My home made soil mix is clearly nowhere near as good as yours! Time to change before things get serious and get them in bigger pots as well, I think.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK okay, good to know. I was checking your update and quite frankly, worried about you & your hubby. Glad go to know you're alright. 💜
I am always afraid to add fertilizer to plants, I have had them burn in the past . I used a low fish fertilizer on my baby succs and the roots stopped growing. So I am now gonna try a lobster compost.
Thanks for watching Kerrie. Fertilizers I use are mostly incorporated with my soil mixes and varies according to the mix(Master soil mix, Intermediate soil mix, Advance soil mix). Once a year, I give them a top up of granular fertilizer(blood, bone manure, seaweed) if there's a lot of rain. If no rain, I use liquid seaweed fertilizer every two weeks in the growing season(growing season varies according to succulent species). For different soil mix, please see video link below this video in the description box.
I started watching your videos at the beginning of CoVd. ❤️ I've learned so much from you Ms.@Liz I go to home depot here in the US asking for Metho... they looked at me crazy😆 Here in the states is called denatured alcohol
The BRANDS I use are only available in Australia but you'll have similar Liquid Seaweed products (fertilizers & conditioner), wetting agents and Granular blood & bone & fish/seaweed/kelp fertilizer.
Thank you for letting me know, I walked into Home Depot and Lowes asking for Metho and soil wetter, they looked at me too like I was crazy. The one man working there also said " soil wetter ? Try using water" 🙄. So I still haven't found any soil wetter at any garden center anyplace or Metho but now I will be able to find dentured alcohol 🙏. Soil wetter is still a problem, I did find lobster compost, the closest thing to seaweed I could find.
