Here is more information about treating a sagging neck, and things to think about before getting surgery: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b8-6L3ft5hk.html
I'm sure some other doctors will use the same technique if they get more business for it, but because Karam has trademarked "vertical restore" words, they can't advertise it. I'm sure they'd tell you in a consultation though. Prices vary by city and state. I've seen good results without vertical restore. Depends on the doctor and the patient.
Elizabeth Taylor admitted to having her neck done and said she had a little scar under her chin. So either it was lipo or platysmaplasty. She'd been accused of having a facelift but when she had brain surgery and her head was shaved, everyone was shocked that she had NO scars. Great skincare and extra facial fat.
This is exactly what I did. I went for a neck lift, and ended up with a full face lift. I’m glad my surgeon had the right idea. He didn’t explain it as well as you did, so I’m glad I came across this video. I was wondering if I made the right decision. Still waiting for swelling to go down, but I’m 3 weeks post op and so glad that I listened to my surgeon.
He is a surgeon ! He should have that knowledge, every surgeon and doctor does ! Dr. Karam doesn't say anything new but he says it. And this is the interesting part, most doctors don't ...
I have a friend who just had a “neck lift”and she is disappointed that her jowls aren’t looking tighter. I think if she had this information beforehand she may have made a different decision.
Great advice for all of us who think that doing seperate procedures for aging might be the way to go! It makes sense that the anatomy of our neck and face are an extension of eachother. Doing both neck and face at the same time creates a more natural and esthetically pleasing result. Its so wonderful that we have an amazing surgeon who loves educating and advising to anyone who is interested in cosmetic procedures. Thanks Dr. Karam, I always learn something new on this channel. 🤗
Superb, thank you. I've seen so many grade 3 vertical passive platysmal bands "pulled," and then *poof* 6 months, or a year later, they are back. The idea of "pulling" the bands flat seems so logical, but it's a faulty move, especially since those vertical bands are so far from the insertion points behind the ear. One question: You can't do all the face lifts in the USA, might you sometime do a video on "how to choose a surgeon?"
Have you trained any younger plastic surgeons to continue your method and practice? Also, I know that you're in the San Diego area, so just curious if you had worked with anyone else in the L.A. vicinity?
Can you share the doctor clinic? We all want to do it, but need housing more than beauty treatment, so $100k isn't a good investment for this type of expenditure
as much as I'd love a facelift/necklift together... my neck is my main area of concern. And if I can only affrod to get my neck/lower face done... then I am probably going to, that's how much my neck bothers me now... the rest of my face is not that bad my neck is genetic...
I really appreciated this video - Ty for the explanation why a complete face lift is necessary to address the neck . It all made perfect sense . I just can’t get on board with a 70k cost . I absolutely believe that u should be fairly compensated, but ………. That’s a bit high . Again, thank you
His work is the same as any qualified plastic surgeon. He just trademarked the name “vertical restore”. Plastic surgeons go ballistic when you mention Karam 😂 Karam charges $125-k and more for a facelift.
$85,000 was my quote. He’s in Beverly Hills. That may explain why it’s so much. A two hour surgery for 85k.. I am sure heart surgeon don’t make 47.5k an hour. Smh
@@keeter44 check out this there amazing and Rembert the before and after are not of attractive people just normal woman. azurite wellness Bangkok plastic surgery very experienced surgeons 1 tenth of the cost.
I honestly don’t know how to direct you. Most surgeons that have dedicated themselves to facial rejuvenation, and there aren’t that many in the world, all charge around the same and several even more. I would do your research but even my outcomes were not what they are today… it’s been over 15 years of dedicated work and lots of learning throughout it they has gotten my results where it is. My focus is on facial rejuvenation which is a combination of rejuvenating the facial shape with surgery and rejuvenating the skin through the use of products and in office procedures.
This explanation of anatomy is helpful. I can do microcurrent on the face knowing by lifting it, the neck will get a subtle improvement. You can't use microcurrent or radio frequency on the central neck (over thyroid), which is where you need it the most.
I once went in to ask about getting a neck lift, and was told about getting cheek and chin implants as well! I felt so awful that I left the clinic in tears, and felt so ugly! This information was never explained. But I still wouldn’t have gone through getting all that other stuff put in!
Isolated Neck Lift (the deep and comprehensive type) is a valuable tool as this paper by, another Top of the Game doctor, Timothy Marten (Lorry Hill facelift surgeon) states: Marten T, Elyassnia D. Short Scar Neck Lift: Neck Lift Using a Submental Incision Only.Clin Plast Surg. 2018 Oct;45(4):585-600. Subcutaneos fat removal can be also beneficial in some instances if it interferes with contour and other factors that shape the neck are taken into account also. Agree that in most circumstances the appropriate approach will be combined with formal facelift and no or minimal neck subq fat removal. The multiple variables in morphology and composition in the aging (and non aging)face makes very difficult to standarize approaches.
Another great video. Interesting to hear that you are not in favor of liposuction of the neck and why. I’ve spoken with 2 surgeons and one seems to follow what you say on several of your videos. Your videos have been instrumental in helping me choose my surgeon. Thank you!
I still think that the less you do, the better.. I will agree that a vertical lift is needed, but a minimal plastic surgury lift near the ears.. and up is necessary, pulling something from above eyebrow not need it , in my opinion. I think Dr. is simply imposing his service and wants what more money the better
There are facial exercises you can do, a couple of devices you can use, such as the Phoenix, and LED masks, as well as skincare, such as retinol, vitamin C, and even castor oil, which can all help. Results probably won't be comparable to surgery, but I'm doing those methods for now, and there does seem to be some improvement.
You can do what some celebs do and buy tape to pull your face back. The patches hide under your hair. Forgot what it's called but it's an old time Hollywood trick.
Well, then if it’s one thing from the neck to the face then why do so many plastic surgeons have the neck and face rejuvenation procedures priced separately?
I have this question that doesnt really get answered im 38 and have no bottom back teeth with as caused some jowls and deep marionette folds i call them folds because they aren't lines its lose tissue that cause shadows. Now ive had filler to this market folds with no joy basically 3 times with 3 different injectors just to see if it was the injection technique but nothing as worked.. my question is would a facelift help this ive had soms boneloss around my jaw 😢which as caused this in my opinion. My upper face isnt bad its my lower face .
I am over a year out and absolutely love my full face lift. I am 50 and people think I am 35. I went in only asking for a neck lift too. I was properly educated by my skilled facial plastic surgeon (Fort Worth, TX). Luckily I was a anti aging virgin. I had never done botox or fillers.
@redmoon5287 0 seconds ago thank you for your common sense ( which is becoming rare nowadays ) . The “ expert”:dr Stefani Kappell says PRECISELY the opposite : she is all about kybella, thermage etc….etc..( as you say it ) I doubt her sense of aesthetics to begin with ( with her ugly heavy lashes extensions and nasty LONG nails, how can one work with these on and have good hygiene? ) she is often mentioning that surgeons who don’t push for lasers or non surgical procedures do not know what they are talking about and have little to no knowledge about all these new tools…. 😬
I call her Dr. Barbie. Hard to take her seriously with the hair extensions and baby voice and gummed up false eyelashes. She is educated but is her own worst enemy with how she presents her info. Needs a makeover and a vocal coach
I had been considering getting my eyes and neck done , because these areas bother me most , but thanks to your very detailed explanation, I guess I’ll wait and do it all .
Of course, I believe you can. Each case is different, i agree doing lower/mid face and neck at the same time is common sense but not everybody needs lower and upper eyelids surgery.
I wish I can afford I can afford the face and neck lift , Ret, Military wife taking care of disable Veteran husband . living on a budget . I love watching your videos .
There is an incredible place in Thailand called azurite wellness in Bangkok it has one of the best plastic surgeons in Thailand they do a full smas and neck lift and upper and lower eyes for 13,000 US yes 13,000 including two weeks after care. they are owned by an Australian company. they have a blemish free record in 15 yrs. I'm going in September 61 yr old male.
Hi there, I'm just wondering, when performing a vertical restore (including the neck lift), where would the scars be for the neck lift? Underneath the chin?
You get what you pay for, this is your face we’re talking about. He prevented me from making a huge mistake with fillers. I am glad I found him. If I had the money I’d go to him in a heartbeat. All these horror stories out there about getting plastic surgery out of the country! That’s just mind boggling to me. I think he gives great advice. Maybe he charges more, but those visual results we see on the faces of the women he worked on is truly amazing.
When you say he charges more , can you give a ballpark ? Just curious as I have already made a few of the mistakes he is talking about , which is also costly 🫶
Dr Karam, do you ever do cheek lift through the lower eyelid when doing the vertical restore? Sometimes the mid cheek is very heavy, how do you approach it? Cheers!
@@dramirkaram I assume, you find this procedure inferior or unneccesary. Could you elaborate? A layman might find this procedure attractive, as it can be done when doing lower eyelids anyway. But I always wondered about any side effects in healing - it seems to me that it is quite heavy structure that is being manipulated in the proximity of a very delicate area that lacks any possibility of giving support. Thanks in advance!
Any referrals for a plastic surgeon in the Huntsville Alabama area that does the vertical restore method? Asking for my wife, she has been wanting a neck lift. She has cervical dystonia that has really impacted the condition of her neck.
Hi doctor , I hope you can see this I just had a face and neck lift , all went very well ( skin is tight and lifted ) expect for 1 thing. prior to my surgery I had maybe 2 years ago had fillers in my nasolabial folds which was a disaster ( it looks very puffy in the crease ) and I hoped that it would be gone after the surgery but it didn’t . The last doctor even tried to dissolve it , it looks bit better but still you can see it in the sunlight . What can I do, laser ? Please help
I saw a lady in her 50ies who had only a neck lift. I do not recommend it. It looked rough and unnatural. You need to lift the entire face and neck area. If I was a plastic surgeon I would not even perform such a procedure. And another advice...before you get a plastic surgery get to the weight you can maintain...lose the extra weight first. I wanted to remove the fat from my chin. My plastic surgeon refused to do it. I am so happy he did. Because I have lost the weight and no longer have the extra fat there.
"Vertical Restore" - this is no different than any other deep plane face and neck lift that nearly all experienced plastic surgeons are doing these days. The fact that you have trademarked this is simply a way for you to make more money for performing the same procedure as everybody else. For you to talk about it as if it's some new miraculous procedure is nothing short of false advertising, in my humble opinion.
There has to be an element of talent aesthetics involved I worked in hospital and a surgeon once told me you can get a top student in theory but you can't teach the dexterity or the aesthetic elements of surgery being a top student in class doesn't mean they will be good at the actual surgical procedures
That is may be true, but the reality is dr. Karam is executing it in a perfect way. The results are very natural and don’t distort the face, and this is what it count by the end whatever the procedure is named.
Actually that statement wasn’t very humble lol. But as stated in the last 2 comments, it’s really about the artistry of this type of surgery. I’ve seen so many bad facelifts, this is the only doctor I would trust with my face. Can I afford him? No… but a girl can dream, otherwise I’ll just keep getting Botox and fillers.
You are correct. I had a FL recently with another California plastic surgeon. He went VERTICAL. During my consultation he said he would go vertically. My neck, lower mid face and temples are all back where they were 30 years ago. You’re right. Exactly the same procedure but this guy makes these videos emphasizing the vertical aspect like it’s something only he can do. That being said he is a great surgeon but nobody is worth $120000. I paid $35000 for everything. I look as good or better than this guy’s afters. Bottom line he’s a bullshitter.
@@michelles2299true. However there is absolutely zero need to pay $120000 for a FL which is what he charges. I just had a FL my doctor went vertically. Do your research look at the before and afters. That will tell you all you need to know about the surgeon. There are lot of artistic gifted surgeons. Dr Sadati in Newport Beach dr Gary Motykie in LA. Look at their afters. Just as good as this guys. Everyone goes vertically now. Not a big deal.
This sounds very convincing, but I had the muscle tightened under my chin in 2011 when I was 46 and, more than anything else, I credit that as the reason most people think I am 10+ years younger than I am. People intuitively associate sagging necks with aging. Pre-surgery, my neck angled from my chin to my mid-neck. After the surgery, it angled from my chin to the top of my neck the way it did when I was younger...and it has stayed that way ever since. So, respectfully, I disagree that a neck lift is a waste of time. Maybe sometimes for some people it is. But, in my case, it's some of the best money I have ever spent.
Please don’t make your talent and gift inaccessible for those of us who cannot afford your price. Many of us have normally financial issues, but many personal matters and having access to your talent would make change our lives. But your price is beyond normal people. I have. Been saving money for the past few years, and still cannot make it up to your price. In desperation I invested in stock and then lost some.😂 But haven’t lost hope. Watching your Majic on so many lucky woman.
An aesthetician I partronized for years sold me on CoolSculpting for the neck. What a waste of money. She made the sale, but I lost trust in her and never went back.
Yes are right about everything you said BUT the neck get lifted ONLY from the upper part of the neck not the lower part and this is something i wanted to ask why not lifting the lower and upper neck ? I am sure it would need an incision behind the lower neck to be able to do it, what it is now it is half way upper neck lift I am sure you know what I am trying to say...
Your channel is excellent, and I really appreciate the very helpful tips you always provide!! I am from across the county. I am 6 months past my deep plane facelift and neck lift, and am very pleased with the results. I am 69, and wanting to do what I can to maintain my results. From an exercise standpoint, I am wondering if you could possibly address types of exercises to avoid, as well as those that can maintain, the musculature of the neck and face? Thanks for any tips you can provide ( this would be a helpful video topic, too). Thank you!
Hi Dr. Karam!! I have been stalking (I mean following!) all of your platforms for a while, and I’m very interested in the vertical restore. I have already had a neck lift and lower eyes done. Am I still a good candidate even though I’ve already had a neck lift? Thank you so much for all of your knowledge and content!!
Thanks for following along! I can’t tell just from your prior procedures, I evaluate each patient to determine if they are a candidate. You certainly could be!
