Also, since her DEF/RES is taken into account before hitting the barrier, literally none of his 15 shots will deal damage to her (nor pop her barrier, ofc). Aak's S3 would be better for this purpose, as it has a shorter cycle (50 seconds, vs her S2's 55 seconds).
TLDR Rrat is a good defensive Caster and will greatly benefit from her mod a few months from now. Good luck pulling her because I'm saving up for Yato and Noir.

While it's good to not powercreep after every unit, if it wasn't for lin's module coming in 3 months, she would be an easy skip tier unit, a side grade of one of the worst 6 stars of the game.

I got her first before i got the cool dragon aniki, and I treat operators like that with care and respect. Am already done E2'ing the Rat wife and am now farming for her skill mastery mats
My favorite thing about Lin is that I can turn her first skill on and make her work normally. The fact that phalanx casters can't attack without using their skill makes them almost entirely useless to me.
@@ossiexx yeah its a bit of both, she hit like a truck and her banner will never come back once its over. she pair up really well with texas alter too if you wanna do executor shenanigans.
As i said on the chongyue video. The answer is probably yes, but in the end its no because the big brain of HG decide to not following like CN did and putting another limiterer character after this banner.
I'm a new player, and after getting 6 firewhistles and two swire, i got a copy of her. This video was pretty helpful because looking at her gimmicks left me with no idea what she was used for.
When the damage overcomes her shield value, does it have visual animation of breaking? Because I found it strange the shield doesn't break when she got bombarded by missiles (the one without module). Actually, how does the shield work exactly the moment the damage exceeded the value? I assumed it would null the first instance of high damage first before breaking, but is it actually "the damage ignores the shield and immediately reduces her HP"?
The big orb shield you see is not the shield from her talent. It's the default shield that Phalanx casters have and they disappear when they're using their skills, indicating the bonus def and res from trait is off. The two small crystals that spins around Lin are the one that visualize for the shield from her talent. Basically, those are her "shield". For the second question, i can only answer from my own experience, so take it with a grain of salt. If the damage exceeds the shield damage threshold, then the damage completely ignores and break the shield and actually damage Lin. I tried to test if Lin can survive the cannon from CH10 with her shield, hoping to see if her shield can nullify the full damage before breaking. But apparently in my experience, the cannon completely killed her.

I max pot Lin so I’m definitely going to raise her when her module exists because her talent buffs are kinda UHHHH stupidly strong when paired with her module
I love FrostByte's videos... but if I had one complaint, it's that he says "definitely yes" for S tier ops, "probably yes" for A-FF tier ops, and then I don't even remember what he says for the truly awful ops. There are so many videos where he says "probably yes" then when he's going through the pros and cons I'm like "Wait... really? Shouldn't this be more like a ... maybe if you like them or lack X?"
Tbh for veteran this limited banner really is skippable. But no way in hell I'm skipping Chong"兄"yue. So glad he's coming home rather than Lin in sixty pull.
As a 3 year veteran, the only banners I don't skip are limited ones. Every other operator I can eventually get with yellow certificates. The only ones I actually need to gacha for are limiteds. If you're implying that it's because of power/performance levels, my bench is so stacked that I will never need to gacha for power again.
I personally think veterans might be more interested in operators that they like for one reason or another. My main priority on the banner was Lin but I got Chongyue first and Lin after. Phalanx casters are interesting, and I think Lin's talents and skills makes her quite unique, and I'm looking forward to her module. Other operators who I'm currently interested in include Yato alter, Ines, Muelsyse and Typhon.
Still saving the orundumb for monster hunter collab , no pulls besides of free 10 pulls and daily free pulls , gonna stay strong there , that is after the rerun event most likely , but we won't be sure until Hypergryph set the upcoming event schedule.
I really want her but all I got was 3 Chongyues, 1 Nian, 1 Eunectes, and 1 Saileach dupe. Pain. Tho I still had fun in IS as my new dragon bros annihilated everything with his S3 + wrath of Siracusan and Kroos' spinach. He just won't stop talking tho...

Been using her more than Carne now. Now that I think about it why the 5 star Phalanx are all cinnamon roll but the 6 star are oneesan that seems going to kill me if I did something wrong
