Thanks Josh! Yeah, this card has a monster SUB making it great for large purchases, but the statement credits aren’t really as good as the personal Platinum ones. It’ll come down to a keep or cancel decision in 1 year!
Oh that Airline reimbursement sounded way better than it is lol. Interesting card, I don’t think I could personally justify those credits, especially as a Mac user
Biggest bummer for Amex platinum biz is no 5x for airline purchase except on Amex travel. Additionally, airline fee reimbursement and 35% back on air ticket point redemption is such a hassle as only one airline is eligible each year and you have to pre-select the airline every year.
Oh man, I missed that update. Yeah, that is a total bummer, and really makes spending on this card only useful if you have larger purchases. And yeah, there's that one airline restriction for airline redemption for economy redemptions which also sucks. Thanks for the update!
The SUB on the Business Plat is insane. Especially in combo with the Business Checking account! I wish I had that high of spend to justify the minimum requirement to hit the SUB. Maybe one day!! This was a great breakdown. I'm excited to get this card down the line!
Yeah, the SUB on this card is really a great opportunity if you have a lot of spend or if you have a particularly large purchase coming up. I don’t think there’s a better card than the Business Platinum for this type of use-case! I see you getting this card in the future, maybe when you have to pay property taxes on that commercial property you purchased for your successful media company 😉
I just upgraded from my business Gold card to the business Platinum because of the upgrade offer they sent me. 140k MR points plus a prorated annual fee for $10k spend. I actually like it so much better than the Gold card because the multipliers work with my business so much better. So far I would say it is hands down worth the annual fee. 👌🏽

I was targeted with 170k offer this month. It’s a work card. I was able to do one charge last week for $40k. I ended up getting 230k rewards last week.

35% is key because if you are doing economy tickets, its pretty equal to award tickets without the limitations and restrictions, you are wrong at 7:33, its 1.538 and not 1.35. If it were 50%, then it'd be 0.5 pt to 1 cent, so 2 cents per point. Accordingly, this is 0.65 pt to 1 cent, so 1.538 cents per point. It is LIMITED to one airline though.

Great breakdown Stan! I kind of struggle to justify the card for the long term though. The credits aren’t the best & kind of force you to use it otherwise there’s no upside to it. Yeah the welcome bonuses on this Card can be monstrous, but like you I don't really get any value from Indeed, I personally don't use Adobe, etc. So, this Card seems more like a great Card for the bonus if you have a large purchase, but not necessarily one for the long-term, especially for us as RU-vid creators (until we have many employees haha). I liked that fan too. I actually have multiple fans around my house for decoration - really like the look. It made me look like I was wearing a hat based on it’s placed so that’s why I removed it 😂. I dunno Tony, maybe a major remodel is coming to your way, and when it does, you know which card to use!
@@TheCreditFrog it's a bummer to pass on but your right. I would normally have enough spend for this but prepaid expenses etc to complete the blue business plus SUB. I seen where some have gotten a 300k offer for 20k spend. Hopefully I can get that offer when I have more expenses to justify the SUB.

A fun one! I love my business platinum, and thought seriously about getting a second. I still might before the offer closes. Dell will let you divide your charge between cards. I think there is no reason you could not divide your charge between two business platinum cards, and get the $200 credit back on both cards, for a total $400 discount on an item. Rakuten also offers 10% back on Dell several times per year. With 10x points +1.5x points plus $400 in credits you could get a great deal on a new PC or laptop that way. Since the business platinum gets 1.5x back on charges over $5000, and 1.5 times back on charges at electronic retailers, it can also take the pressure off of your blue business plus for non-category spend on large purchases. The business platinum also has synergy with the business checking account. If you have both, you can cash out MR points for one cent per point. Not recommended, but it does add Optionality. Like you, I can pretty much make use of about $720 per year of the credits, but I am also probably picking up some things I otherwise wouldn’t. I see it as a zero annual fee card, with a great sign up bonus and solid multipliers. The question I have to ask myself is if I really need two of them. There is only so much stuff from Dell I really want. Looking forward to the next video.
Seems you have your strategy for the business Platinum card down packed Robert! I would say that the Dell credit would become much more useful if you had two business Platinum cards so you have $400 to work with, and I like the tip you mentioned about the Rakuten plus the 1.5X on charges at electronic retailers, plus potentially Amex Offers. With these, you could triple or even quadruple dip on the savings! I'll admit that I can never have too many USB Flash Drives 🤣
