Lot's of Aussies cause we started going there 20 odd years ago. Then an Aussie company bought Hanazono back in 2004 and marketed it Aussies as there were very little people there from outside of Japan. Then marketed towards Expats, Europe and Nth America. This season was so different as hardly any international tourists due to Covid. Good Resort when the peak is open
I agree about niseko bring abit overrated and overcrowded. I'm really looking forward to coming back to nozawa and shiga personally no crowds, cheaper and more culture ftw
