@@kellyscott5838 check out the Deep Creek Area, Steven Alexander Homes are the best builders! When we moved to Chesapeake we were lucky to find a brand new Steven Alexander build. Someone in the military had the house built, then got orders to leave. Steven Alexander homes are amazing 🙏🏿
Central Chesapeake In greenbrier from what I noticed from living there is mostly newer builds 1980s+ the only place with historic buildings in Chesapeake is the very northern limit in south of Norfolk
Alec, I think you're right. When you say south of Norfolk do you mean the area called South Norfolk? There are a lot of historic buildings/old houses in that area.
Makes sense - there are some spots in Virginia Beach that can have flooding problems - often they're very localized spots in the city. Itr really does depend on where in the city as far as how much flooding plays a part of everyday life. Ironically, there are many areas close to water in Virginia Beach that really don't have any problems at all - it really does depend on where!

I rent a apartment in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach for a year. Before buying a house. I decided none above, everything is cover price. Not going to live in Virginia. Sorry. The video was nice. That's my opinion. Anyone tell me what you think? Thank you Sam. 😊
Help! I'm in the U.S. Navy and will be moving to VA soon. Between Virginia beach and Chesapeake...which has less shitty traffic going to and coming from Norfolk Naval Base?
Hey! I would say that it depends on where in Virginia Beach and where in Chesapeake. A good portion of Virginia Beach is closer in proximity to NOB than Chesapeake, though the traffic might be a bit more hectic, so the drive time might be about the same. Do you know any specific areas that you've considered so far? I could point you in the right direction if so. Otherwise, as a general rule, if you're in the western side of Virginia Beach you'll probably have a little bit better commute compared to many parts of southern Chesapeake. But it's not so much farther that I wouldn't consider Chesapeake. It's definitely a great option if Virginia Beach has a little bit too high prices.

You pretty much answered my question, in that the traffic difference between Chesapeake and VB to base wouldn't be that significant. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Yes! That’s in a larger area called Burbage Grant. That’s incredibly convenient for people who are either working across the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge Tunnel, or in the NE Suffolk, West Chesapeake, NW Portsmouth corridor, for example at the Coast Guard or Department of Defense. You can definitely get more house for the money in Suffolk but am not sure how much school plays a factor - many people love VB and Chesapeake for the schools, but you pay more of a premium for houses in that side, too!
