I havent played since 2020 and i’m scared to get back into it. There’s so many new characters. Its intimidating after all these years and when i did play i played on xbox! Now i have a pc!
I can give my perspective on someone who just started playing 3 weeks ago. The 2 other FPS games I’ve played significantly are Battlefield 5 and DMZ, so nothing really comparable to Apex. I played the Mix Tape for the week to just try and get the basics of gunplay down, then jumped into pubs after that. It was pretty punishing at first and still is when you run into cracked players. However I can say when you make a play in Apex or squad wipe a team and pick your teammates up it’s probably the most rewarding feeling you can get in any FPS. That’s what kept me coming back. You’re going to die when you drop and you just kind of have to push through that until it starts to click, shield and health managment mixed with the gunplay and knowing when to push a team to capitalize on damage or when it’s safe to rez a teammate all comes with more time played. Like he said in the video it’s very rewarding when you make plays and that’s the satisfying part of the game. Knowing how the armour evolution works is very important, I would watch some videos before dropping in on that topic. In 2-3 weeks of playing pubs I think I have 16 wins or so, no idea if that average or what but that’s my experience so far.
amazing perspective, I really love this! I honestly forgot to mention mixtape but its so important to help hone mechanics and just get better at the game in general. Thanks for the comment and good luck on the games!
@RobAtkinson-wj4rc i just started playing 2 days back and I'm lovin it... I loved Titanfall 1... played a lot of cod and battlefield... I loved the apex experience... I'm playing mostly Gun Run, Control, TDM, Lockdown modes... just 2-3 BR I played & it was fun and rewarding experience... only thing letting me down is matchmaking times... they take forever... lol
apex seems great until you first start playing and get demolished by a dude who is level 10.5 quadrillion with two teammates who have been playing professionally since the game released
EA has failed in all aspects in removing the cheaters. The majority played from Orgin since their mods don't get detected. It's all RNG and as a older player than OP i can guarantee that even if you took years off the game, your games are screwed since you are pin up against where you left at. S4 was the best season and played occasionally back then. I work too much to even try to get good, so im the raging old man in the games. Solo games like Wow or final Fantasy are indeed more fun if you're not happy playing apex hacking legends. I will say its the same spot as League of Legends.
I have about 3000 hours in Apex, reaching Master level, with 4K 20 kills on MnK. A few days ago, I created a new account, starting on a controller. I've never owned a console before and never played any FPS with a controller. I consider myself a complete beginner with this new account: I have 0 aim, 0 experience with the device, and 0 movement. After 4 days, my KD is below 1, I've won 1 game, and somehow I'm dying to players level 500+ with Master, 4K, and 20 kills badges. As a complete beginner without the game knowledge I have thanks to my experience with MnK, it would be a complete nightmare. So no, don't start Apex in 2024.
I feel like apex is going to be harder for newer players because they don’t really have a mode where you can practice on besides mixtape, when I first started playing I just played a lot of arenas and it kind of got me used to the gunfights and legend abilities. Another reason why I think it’s harder for newer players is because the game has bad matchmaking lobbies. I can die off spawn for 6 games straight and still get preds in my lobbies.
Both very true statements. Its very important to understand that as a new player that the game does NOT cater to you at all. Big L for new players and growth for the game
I solo q, and 90% of the time, I get really bad teammates. If they're noobs I could understand, but a lot of times they're just dumb. Then I die to a full squad of good players who coordinate their push, even when it's just myself because my teammates died. This kind of shit happens all the time.
If i just want to play for 2 hours at the end of a night with some buddies, were probably going to spend 2 hours losing every game every night, would be nice to "adjust your strategy" but forced to play a select hand few legends until your first unlock
@@wazat4094 Sbmm, Toxic community, Community is ignored by publisher, Game + Battlepass + Skins, Skins, Skins = $$$$$ This Game have no soul only Capitalism
@@wazat4094 Likely, because it´s hard to adjust with that many high-skilled players even in bronze ranking. Until you have finally adjusted, you will have to get a very high tolerance and lots and lots of dying. Is this a skill issue? Sure. Of course. Problem is, that many players won´t sustain their motivation if they mostly just die up their to silver/gold. I´d suppose, it will get a lot easier when silver/gold is reached. Not sure, how unranked is in this regard. But it really poses a problem for everyone, that comes from work and just want some chilled rounds and cannot spend enough time to get good enough for even bronze again. Bronze nowadays feels (to me, but i might memorize wrong) harder then Diamond/Master three to four years ago. Can definitely be worthwhile to still push through. But you need to accept the first hours to be a pretty big pain until you reached a bit higher rank with weaker players.
Terrible monetization, trashy (still) store, tragic SBMM, nothing changed since season 8 when I decided to leave. I came back and managed to play a whole week, can't take it more. Trust me - it feels AWESOME to play other shooters and feel that you are not that bad afterall, where Apex makes you feel just miserable. Oh and those recoils xD. What a cancer game.
Don’t play this game it’s ate up with cheaters. All streamers are moving to dead shot. Sorry to be a bummer but i would rather be a bummer than a liar look it up if you think I’m capping
i havent managed to land a single shot so yeah, pretty funny... i dont want to be an asshole but i started yesterday and tonight played like 15 games and in 2 of those 15 i got 3 kills, but in the other 13 games 0 kills, its just frustrating
any tips to get better? and dont tell me "git gud" i can "git gud" for games like dark souls and sekiro but i just cant with FPS so, i want to play the game and enjoy it, any youtuber that you recommend to watch play? or something?
@@martinalbarracin6960 it might be good to check out some of Macro's videos, can't say how useful they are for sure, but he makes a lot of videos for tips and "for noobs" so i think he'd be well worth checking out. Also, don't underestimate the usefulness of hipfiring, even though it's less useful now, its still important. I don't have a lot of tips for it personally tbh, its been awhile. Good luck if you're still trying, and i understand if you gave up on it
During Corona I played every day! 2000 matches and it was great fun. But now I don't enjoy it anymore. The game modes are no fun and there are only bots around that make it very difficult for casual gamers. I wouldn't recommend the game anymore. It's time for something new!
Yesterday i played apex for first time and that was frustrating. I played 2 games with easy bots, won easily. But then matchmaking shown me 1000+ level account (?) players. That's insane
great vid! also how do you make your game look so colorful? i have my vibrance on my nvidia app at max but yours just looks way more colorful and better
Thank you! What you actually see is post processing that I do on adobe premiere pro but my in game looks just as colorful if not more but what I would recommend if you havent already is adjusting your monitor or tv settings to get the color that you would like. Hope this helps
From my experience, I started playing on pc with 10 days left of season 19, the matchmaking is so awful for beginners! We’re talking preds and masters in every lobby unless you’re playing at 7pm on a Saturday! When the destroyer2009 thing happened, I swapped to console because I couldn’t risk work stuff on my pc being compromised. Console lobbies are lots better matchmaking. The only issue is I’m on the base Xbox one, so I die occasionally because my game runs like a slideshow sometimes! 😅 All in all, if there is as better matchmaking, I’d tell all my friends to play, but as of right now, I’d only really recommend it to my most hardcore gamer friends!
that last time i played this game was in early 2020 and this year im going back, i miss this game and i dont care how hard it is going to make me good, itll take time.
TBH if you a vetern you can get some joy. But you are aboslutely correct about people playing it for the first time!I LEVEL 8 and you getting into to lobbies with preds and masters. Awful awful SBMM.
I have 3600 hours in the game and MM still sucks lol. 90% of the time, I get 2 noob teammates, then die to teams with all experienced players. MM is dogshit. Respawn devs don't know wtf they're doing.
Not really sure how pubg is more hardcore then apex, it even has "casual mode" where 80% of lobby is bots, so you just hop in and have some fun, while apex is one big continious sweatfest that for some reason doesnt even have solo mode. Installed it today after a year or so, in a couple of hours got reminded whats its really about and uninstalled just as quick. I really tried to like apex several times but some of game design decisions just dont click for me
If you´r solo ore even only 2 man forget about ranking, you get top dimond ligit now days am old pred solo q returning player and it´s prob more then 70% cheating atm ore geting bosted and nothing seem to happend to them esp and recoil and no ban ever still alwed even the smaller ones like zen so long you dont have the main cable plugged in zen mak and scrips nothing happens for 2 s in row.
There was a time when I enjoyed Apex, and what ruined it for me was the poor business practices of the developers. Like it or not, games are a business, and where we put our money as gaming consumers shapes the future of gaming. Too many video games prioritize cosmetics over content, because we will buy the cosmetics, so thats where the money is. If we started prioritizing content over cosmetics then they would have to as well, and we would likely have amazing innovation as a result. Gaming companies don't want to entertain us anymore, they want to keep us busy, and trick us into spending all our money. EA (the developers of Apex), are one of the worst companies for this. Remember consumers set the standard for what we will allow. I am really proud of all the people who have recently spoke out against EA's poor business practices. We shouldn't tolerate that amount of greed, and people who agree should say something. My unsolicited advice, play whatever game you enjoy, but spend your money wisely. Where you put your money is what you support.
Coming from a competitive fortnite scene, apex is way faster. The games are shorter, and the fights are way, way , WAY quicker. Theres ko buildfights so the time to kill is short.
I don’t play many shooters anymore or play online as much because ps plus is to expensive and also I lost interest however there is no game like apex that just clicks with me in my opinion. Gameplay, graphics, art style, the movement, the gunplay and the legends themselves it’s just so much fun to play.
Every game feels like suffering this whole game is suffering. There’s not one thing that I can point out that I like about this game especially as a newer player. Ima just chill and wait for the Elden Ring dlc
i played it a lot when it first released 2019 then stopped, regret not playing it during 2020-2021 because i always see that was its “prime years” now im debating if i should start now 😭
Tried this game for the first time today and I’ve never deleted a game so fucking fast in my life. In three matches I didn’t get a single kill. People flipping and jumping from everywhere - THE GUNS take up half the fucking screen when you aim. It’s just shit.
The MM ruins the game. I would never recommend this game to anyone. In addition to the MM, the audio is garbage, too many cheaters, bugs, shitty support...etc. It might be fun at first, but you will eventually notice all these issues I've listed. I could go into details but that would be too long. Find a game that's enjoyable and doesn't irritate you. Btw, I'm a diamond ranked player and not just some noob.
i played apex at launch, it was a great game back then. then ofcourse everthing got too complex, and now only sweaty neckbeards are left. so no, do not start apex in 2024
YO PLZ HELP, I saw cloudy I think his name is playing ASH really well and it inspired me to get the game, I got the game and I’m lvl 4 and haven’t gotten any legend tokens… what do I need to do to fix it ? I tried contacting ea but I can’t seem to send them a direct ticket
Apex is far harder than Pub G in my opinion but I’m a Siege player so I wanna outsmart you and hit you first not see who lands more bullets out of both of us dumping our whole clip at each other
As a console player ... I would say its slightly easier to play Apex in 2024 as a beginner than if you are a PC player , due to the fact that PC players are more likely to be better at maneuvering than console players. I think that this is the main difference in perspective.
I’m thinking about coming back im starting to forget why I stopped playing there’s no other shooter like it and I love the bunny hopping I find myself trying to bunny hop in other shooters and it’s just not apex
after the removed tap strafing i kinda said yeah that's the last of it... just when i was learning how to use it properly they went away with it... i mean i watched the last vid and i firmly agree that my aim has gotten better but the fact that i can't move like i used to is a huge bummer
Love seeing everyone telling the truth about the state of apex. After a 5 month break I came back to see a new currency for recolored previous gun skins that cost $30. Than hopped into a few matches for a few hours knowing I would be rusty and I only got 5 kills within like 50 games before I threw in the towel and deleted it again for longer this time, might not even pick it back up. I’m not built for the meth/adhd medicine addicted players who play nothing but this game. It’s not fun and I wouldn’t recommend to any of my friends in 2024
I quit playing because the game was just too sweaty. Played a lot in 2021/22 but I went days without getting a single win. Usually I wouldn’t care how often I win but going DAYS without a single win is super demoralizing. Might give it another try though and see how different things are now
If you’re a competitive player coming from another competitive fps and you anticipate a smooth transition you’re likely going to be very disappointed at the state of the gameplay with cheating and terrible matchmaking but if you’re a casual who’s looking to play something new a few times a week and slowly rank up yeah I’d say it’s worth playing still. However it’s very much pay to win
It’s funny because I find it exactly opposite. Better for competitive players, worse for casuals and in no way at all pay to win. Not trying to say you are wrong but what way do you think it’s pay to win?
Apex is a great game in 2024. Maybe not the best, but still super fun and refreshing. If u have grinded apex for all five years, that is why u are tired of apex. U are burned out. Nice video watty super cool and nice editing. Also when I type watty auto correct changes it to “warty”😂😂😂
I picked up Dead By Daylight super fast (i main Artist if that matters) and it took me a little while to adjust to Overwatch (i main tanks i thiiiink my most used is dva?) and i’ve only ever casually played COD with friends. What would you recommend I start with Apex?
Hmmm that’s super hard because I don’t really know that game but if you like tank probably Gibby or Newcastle but they can be hard to play. A good play would be Bangalore or if even caustic. I have no idea how you play though. Good luck!
Anyone here from South East Asia? Is this game alive on the said region? I mean if I start now will I be playing with real people or just a bunch of bots until I reach higher ranks?
if u a cod player dont come across to apex, the movements between the 2 games are totally different and when u get accustom to one of the 2 the other is gonna feel absolutely terrible for you... i got used to both but it took me really long but apex is just the same dry shit since release
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME. It has tons of exploits and cheats since day 1, countless ppl are cheating since day 1 and have never gotten banned. If you are new after a while you will be matched with 3 stack masters or preds in normal games. If you go ranked no matter your rank you will again be in the same lobby with all the higher ranks. I have 4k hours on this game and it has never gotten better, only streamers defend it from time to time just so it wont die and they keep making money from their viewers. pls pin the comment, thx.
I recently started playing Apex for the first time. I come from Valorant so the gunplay isn't that new to me. However, everything else is completely different (except maybe also the abilities) so this game is a bit overwhelming. I already really like this game and want to get better. I realize that I'm late to the party and I'm really sad Apex is dying! It's so fun and I wish I wasn't one of the few who is a newbie in 2024.
Great video bro. One thing I think you forgot to mention is that the best way to get better is to constantly fight, but also knowing when to reposition
just one thing to note is just because you may see a masters badge it doesnt mean that the player is actually that good. In season 17 there were literally like over half a million masters players since the system was so broken. Either way lobbies are still hard
