Should You Start Working With Rentals? 

Hell yea. Here in NYC That's how I got started. I never did residential sales. I went from killing it rentals, to doing bad lol. I made 20k in rentals my 1st 3 months, then it just became A DESERT FOR ME. NO MONEY FOR 11 MONTHS!! Then I went to commercial leasing. My first office lease, I was paid 11k, half on lease signing, and around 1100 every month for 3 months. My second deal I was paid 27k AT LEASE SIGNING, AND THE DEAL TOOK 3 WEEKS. But like I said, as a agent things were too inconsistent for me. But THAT'S ME. You? Anybody watching this? YOU CAN KILL IT IN ANYTHING! DON'T LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING DISCOURAGE YOU! BUT REMEMBER, TRAINING IS KEY! SHOUT OUT TO CHASTIN. You need ppl like that, that will streamline your success as an agent. I didn't have that coming in. I was 23 when I started 2 years ago, and winged it and made money right away, which is hard and rare here in nyc. But it's all good everything is a process and a learning experience.

Most agents won't do rentals because they say renters come with "too much baggage" 🙄😒 look here, when most of who comes into Anchorage are military and rentals start at $875 and the apartment complexes are paying 120%, I'll do rentals all day long...

I'm working on getting my license right now and I never knew this was an option. Its definitely going to be one of the first things I attempt once I get into the business.

Rental! Orange County, CA! This is exactly how I got started. I got a lease listing and have had an influx of renters looking for places all over the OC. Helping someone now who is moving from North Carolina! I closed one rental so far, about to close another one and found a renter who wants to buy. Rentals work! Like everything in real estate, FOLLOW UP FOLLOW UP AND FOLLOW UP! Did I mention follow up? 😆

Yes! It’s my first full month back in the biz. I’ve invoiced over $4k in rentals so far. (DFW area) Of course this is before commission splits, but it’s better than $0 the first month amen?

Rentals aren’t a big money maker in my area, smaller market compared to Dallas, Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles and so on. Plus a specific real estate broker which I am not going to name is the largest landlord for apartments in my area so they aren’t so quick to offer up a decent % to a agent from another broker.

Rentals are a great part of business! The money is in the numbers. I was going to ask what ever happen with the giveaway I don’t think I missed the video did I lol??

Rental. I'm a new agent in Miami, FL and I figured I should do rentals cause I'm still in college so I'd be able to market rentals on campus. Anyone have experience with this route? How'd you do it?

Love this. There's no such thing as rental commission in memphis. Relocating to Houston in 3 months so this will and better (lol) help me out when I get there

So it maybe where I live, but rentals are terrible to do in my opinion. It's a lot more work for a lot less money but it maybe where I live and the fact that I'm new in the business. I have experienced the most no shows (even with confirmed appointments) with rentals too. To me they are a pain in the butt unless you do high end rentals. But if you don't live in a high end market for rentals it's kind of annoying.
