I have found all 3 of my families on aupair world and would 100% recommend it and my biggest tip would be to trust your gut and if it doesn’t feel quite right don’t take it , there is a family out there for you
Really love the platform of Butrfly and the support on there, my only wish is that there was more families. The ratios seems just as competive as Aupairworld.
Good thing the platform is growing! But we def hear you out! Plus Butrfly is specialised for France so they are experts for that area so they can give you more support + info :D
I just found a Host Family. I asked them when should we sign the contract and they told me when I get there, but I thought you should sign it before leaving. Is it normal? What should I do?
@@aupairohparis6083 Yess. I just registered but I'm confused about au pair butrfly, like how will I find matches. Although I have an interview today ☺️😃 with them. Hoping to find my host family soon 😃
Do host families tell you if they deny your application? Already had first interview but what happens next? Do they atleast tell you if you didn’t get position?
@@angelamiller5476 Yes, they do. They'll tell you if you didn't match their expectations or they went ahead with someone else because they were ready with a language certificate.
I found my family on AuPairWorld. Actually, they found me. They were right outside of Paris (neuilly sur seine) and I wanted to leave the city I was in (corbeil essonnes).
Many au pairs find their families that way, it’s a popular site! However, sometimes agencies offer that extra help we all may need during our au pair year which is why we recommend Au Pair Butrfly as another hybrid option!
Have any of you gone through Global Work and Travel?? I'm getting ready for my first Au Pair experience (delayed many months because of boarder shut downs). I will *fingers crossed* be starting my journey to New Zealand in May!
@@LifeOfDanii FINALLY progress in the last month things really took off. I have a family, have payed for flights and insurance, and just signed my agreement. The agency is okay and I think if this is all new I'd recommend something like this or talking to people who have done this before, but if I decided to do this again I think I'll just plan it all myself.
@@roisigillypuff Hi there! I am very keen to start my first au pair experience and I'm considering using Global work and travel. The program seems to have lots of support. DId you feel like your experience was smooth and successful with them? Would you recommend them to a first time au pair? How do they differ from other programs? Thank you and I hope your experience is going well :)
@@moniqueheath9509 I like that I've gone through an agency, but I honestly didn't feel that much support from Global work and travel. The way it worked for me they basically played middle man for another agency that matched me with a family. The other agency, DREAM au pair NZ, I've found to be really helpful. I don't know if my experience is due to the pandemic of what was going on, but I felt supported at first but since I've been in New Zealand I haven't communicated with Global work and travel at all but DREAM has given me a lot of support. My recommendation is that if you wanna go through a company try and find one that directly links you to a family if you can. Hope this is helpful
I recently uploaded my profile to AuPair Butrfly, but I was declined both the interview and the application as I was told that I was outside the UE applicants, and being a male candidate is not a good look to be selected. I want to ask if the restrictions for France is something universal, meaning that can I still apply being an au pair through aupair world or facebook even though I am from Hong Kong? My chances are looking slim since I don't have a driver licence...
Hey Sean! I believe the reason you may not have been accepted for an application is because if you’re not an EU resident you are REQUIRED to have a drivers license in order to participate in the si pair program in France. Try getting your license or perhaps another country without that restriction, I’m sure you’ll find a way! Good luck!
@@aupairohparis6083 thank you for your response, it helped me a lot! Since the multiple lockdowns we have here, it is impossible to get a driver licence, my exam date has been delayed from Jan to May. But hopefully things will go better in the summer! Another question is supposedly I passed the entire exam in late june (the hk driving exam is complicated), do you think there’s enough time to look up family and to get a job in Sep? Thankss
@@seanwong467 Goo question Sean! I'd actually as the agency if that works! They are super familiar with the latest info and possible exceptions for Au Pair visas.
