The London eye is also great for those special occasions in life. You can book a pod exclusive to yourself and guests for wine tasting , canapes, there are several options open to you and your guests or just you and your family or partner. I have booked a private pod on many occasions and the London eye have never let me down

I have a fear of heights but last year I challenged myself to ride the Eye. I was bricking it beforehand but when we got up I loved every second. It's so smooth and gradual that you hardly notice. Would definitely recommend and do it again 🙂👍

I went on it with my class and when we were pretty much at the top it stopped for like 10 mins and there was a voice through the speaker saying there were problems. I had 9 months of prep for this trying to get over my fear of lifts and the london eye. I was PETRIFIED!

Beautiful video. I love the London eye. I went just after Christmas and noticed the cleaning of the pods. I was really impressed with the way they cleaned it.

I was there on a small school trip! I mean it was for students who opted in, and it did require us to provide for much of our own funding. went all the way from the us. absolutely worth it. incredible sights from so high up.

My first thought: "Oh my God, stand STILL!" I'm not keen on heights, especially in or on something that feels wobbly. If I ever get on this thing, straight down will not be my preferred view. But it does look like the view is spectacular... hopefully I can gather up the nerve!

I think the best place to go to get a view of London is the sky garden. You have to book to go in but it's free and there are cafés and restaurants in this garden at the top of a tower.

We've been to London 5 times and are about to go again. We have no desire to do the London Eye. Night photos from the Victoria Embankment (across the river for people who don't know) are far better than photos through the dirty windows.

Tim, During New Years eve the wheel is closed, so not turning - the fireworks have to be attached to a static frame not a moving one! Nice video. 😀

I went on the london eye when there in march this year. It was amazing. View wasnt great as there was some mist on the horizon so didnt see much. That slight rocking sensationnis probably where they do stop the wheel for disabled people. I use 2 sticks and they paused it for a couple of seconds so i could step on to a non moving floor. They were fantastic with me and the other disabled people. If you take either your blue badge or a leter showing you on disability benifit (PIP) they allow you to go through the fast track for free. I loved my trip on it. No one else would go on it with me. 😂😂😂 Now ive dont it once i prob wont go again, but iomeone needs some company i could be persuaded. ❤
