Dr. Jacob Goodin is a professor of kinesiology at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), and holds a PhD in Sport Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State University. He has over a decade of experience as a strength and conditioning coach and sport scientist from the high school to NCAA Division I levels. I currently am taking anatomy and phycology while being in structural kinesiology as well. I appreciate you going over these bony landmarks because it helps implement what I am learning by overlapping in my different classes. Seeing it multiple times makes it easier to remember.

I appreciated seeing the description of the joint and its key features and then being able to physically do the movement of the joint. This is key to not just memorizing the information but being able to really learn it.

I enjoyed the fact that you used yourself as an example, so we can find the landmarks on our bodies, as well as showing various photo examples. The shoulder is a very important structure in our body, and I find it interesting to learn about.

this was such a nice refresher of the shoulder landmarks! It's incredible how the shallow nature of the glenoid fossa is a key characteristic for mobility in the shoulder.

I remember a lot of this from anatomy and physiology, but it goes a lot more in depth. I think it is so cool to see how much range of motion our shoulders have and how it comes from multiple places, including the sternoclavicular joint.

Your explanation about how the scapula thoracic joint contributes to stability and mobility really clarifies why shoulder health is so crucial. I've never had shoulder problems (knock on wood) so I've just always taken it for granted.

This was definitely a great refresher for me! I really appreciated the key point about the shallowness of the glenoid fossa and the repositioning of the scapula to allow for greater range of motion because we need to achieve some stability and mobility to interact with the world we live in!

This video covered a lot more ground and truly offered me an inside look at the shoulder girdle. It was also a perfect way for me to review the anatomy lesson I took on the boney structure of the shoulder.
