Also as a beginner which type of squat should I do. My gym has a hack squat machine and smith squat machine. Or should I go for barbell squats.

I feel like with hack squat you're less likely to have shit form and ensure better gains way faster. It's way easier to start out with it. Eventually, move over to free weight barbell back squats to get some good stability work, but overall, I think the best bet for you is hack squats.

@@saribibraheem82 Whatever feels right for you! I don’t think there’s a right answer. Me personally I started with barbell squat in my beginner days but also building that foundation with hack squats isn’t a bad idea and eventually moving to barbell squats.

Hack and Pendulum are going to be your best bet. Personally I would stick to machines like leg extension, sled press, leg curl. For free weight bug split squats and bodyweight squats if you don't have strong legs to start with. Once that is out of the way go to barbell squat but maybe consider front squats (barbell is in a safer position to drop, requires less flexibility in shoulders and arms than back squat). These a low beginners to learn their stability and feel their joints in the early stages and develop correct form. Then BOOM back squats and slowly increase weight as your sets/reps become too easy.
