This song played at my baby shower, when I was in my mom's womb. I've always had a connection to it. Just a few minutes ago, I was feeling so stressed. And then I found this song. A remake. My joy is so great. God bless you all. SHOUT TO THE LORD!!!!!! 😭

I learned this song in a worship service in Philadelphia. They were a sweet older couple who pastored the church, along with their son, David. They invited my family to their home for a fantastic spaghetti dinner. I never forgot how kind they were, and how much the mom loved modern praise music. She used to talk about God being the essence of newness, and christians focusing on how God's power is moving now, healing, delivering and redeeming. She said old spiritual songs encouraged people to look backwards, but new worship songs encourage people to look forward with hope and a future. I found this perspective to be very progressive. I enjoyed her enthusiasm for God's work. We ended up leaving their ministry because people in the church opposed their son taking over as pastor. It was all very sad and confusing because I didn't understand what it was all about. I hated to see how this rejection hurt them, especially the mom. I pray that God's love made a way for them. ❤❤❤❤❤
