A couple of years ago I managed the stage at the Great American Irish Festival (on a saturday) and had the pleasure of meeting this ham both on and off stage...an absolute pleasure! his love for what he was doing was as evident behind stage as on....and he was as humble about it as well....keep dancing brother!!
He is the personification of joy when he dances! Have had the pleasure of seeing him perform with David Munnelly band at Winfield Bluegrass fest several years - what a treat!
I;m learning to play the fiddle and listening to the young fiddler has helped me a lot, its also one of my favorite tunes. Thanks a bunch ! 1xstew Barnsley
I'd say he might be joy personified =) Had the pleasure of meeting him in person at a recording of a video with an orchestra, and the memoriy still soundly remains. Hope you're keeping well Nic!! And keep up the happy feet!
Ah... we play this tune in some sessions. Now I know better how it should sound! Always can "hear" it better when there's a dancer. ;) Fabulous! Thanks for posting!
I hope somebody could answer this question, is this tune originally from old time music, or is it just a tune created for Cold mountain, the movie. Thanks :D
