I have the Neca model and I'm pretty happy with it, to be honest. I was just glad you can extend the legs on the Neca model too, that was one of the main things I looked for. The new Hot Toys model is fantastic, but it's beyond affordability and justification for me unfortunately, and it's only going to get more expensive. I wish money was no object for me, and then I may get one.
I used to work as a *production key grip in the early 90s* and he meaning the production start date, not the theatrical release date, all movies in Hollywood usually start 2 to 3 years before its confirmed on its completion mark date, so say for instance a movie was to begin production in 1995, the movie would typically wrap around 1997 or 98 depending on reshoots and actor availability, and or production malfunctions, which I hated the most., we had to fix and shop for fx crews a lot due to broken sets, or wardrobe.
This is not an in-depth look at film production. Trust me, he just f'd up. These people with the massive subscriber numbers just get sent freebies then pretend they've always been into said freebie.
he's talking about when the movie production wrapped it was 1985 then it was sent to a studio for edit and time cuts etc, and press events for the actors prior to its actual theatrical debut which was 1987. this is how that date and product postmark all Hollywood movies!
I hope these people appreciate how much they have. I watched them literally feed $600 into a vending machine. I can barely afford to eat right now. Watching someone show and tell a multi hundred dollar toy, just seems so surreal. I wonder if there's a hacker community to make these into actual robots like they do with Johnny Five.
I had the NECA but returned it due to receiving it with broken elements and the sound effect talking feature was inaudible. so wanted it but for $8 it sound work and not arrive broken.
Hey Norm, minor correction: They call them Puppets for stop motion animation. Not Maquettes. Maquettes are just static statues. C'mon man. You should know this. Heh. I was lusting after that Neca Ed-209 recetly. You'll probly love the Hoth Probe Droid Sideshow did.
That is not how they do it they make a sculpture they scan it on a machine and then they break it apart in pieces on the computer the computer put the input into the machine on how to print the pieces into a Resin or plastic injection mold
The worst thing about the Hot Toys one was the awful sound effects, they used some random dude trying to sound like the movie, but it's terrible! The NECA one uses actual samples from the movie.
Not Mad cat.. Maquette ...A maquette (French word for scale model, sometimes referred to by the Italian names plastico or modello) is a small scale model or rough draft of an unfinished sculpture.
I love tested and all the things you guys show. But just about the editing, when you are saying "And if you look here..." you should show what we are supposed to be looking at. More times than not you are showing something completely different. It is very frustrating.
What kind of fan are you, that you don't even know Robocop was released in 1987? It makes you seem fake. And now I cannot even watch the rest of your video.
i tried to watch it, but, when it went from him being himself in a robot body to becoming the robocop with no emotion it just went became pointless as they could have skipped all the crap from the start and so i gave up lol, should i go back and watch the last 50 min i think?
