Judging by how many comments here are asking for this wonderful performance to be released in full on DVD, I'd say it definitely needs to be released on DVD. I know they do not usually do that with Broadway/theater prods, but for Hamlet, specifically for Jude's Hamlet, it needs to happen. If not a film version, then this version would definitely do.
Saw Jude Law perform Hamlet; I had a £10 standing ticket! He was brilliant! Word perfect. Why can't he be handsome & a great actor? Watch, , The Talented Mr Ripley' & see how believable he is👍
I saw this onstage, New York. He was terrific, really above and beyond. Matt Ryan was Horatio, Ron Cook as Polonius and Gravedigger. All great. Production pretty conventional, forgettable Claudius and Gertrude, Ophelia, Laertes but Law Cook and Ryan saved the day.
I'm sorry but that sounds idiotic, I can't believe they decided that. Why do they bother recording it then? Most poeple can't attend the show, they should release a DVD or a streaming service.
i been to the cemetery in lower manhatten where the actor is buried ,that skull was supposedly his skull someone dug him up after he died .No one believed he was dead ,according to the story they took his skull .That famous skull is supposedly the one used in the hamlet plays
