Him and Slim are definitely the most creative and unorthodox poppers in the world. Their styles are so unique to them, you just can't replicate either of them.
@@WubzZz- it's just another word for popping that was widely used in LA back in the day. Yes, the original name of the dance was Popping/Electric Boogaloo but the term Poplocking also caught on. This is what a lot of the OGs called the dance but the new school don't really use the term anymore. It might just be that popping was also associated with the fame of locking of the early 70's. The Original Lockers and the EB's were the only dance troupes to ever introduce such unique styles on Soul Train. I guess the general public who remembered locking just lumped them together. I don't think there was a whole lot of education going on back then about proper terminology so people just ran with it. I guess you can liken it to the whole Breakin vs Bboying thing. Also when you get the mysterious founder of the dance just performing on a few tv shows and then dipping without any context of what the dance actually is, of course you're gonna end up with Poplocking lol. If I recall the EB's were also initially called the Electronic Boogaloo Lockers to try and ride the OG lockers fame as a dance act.
