Well it is pop culture references. And as much as I love the oxbox adventures, they are not exactly world famous (yet). Plus with Luke and Ellen Disney is pretty high in their list of things. So Disney, super heroes and Pokemon are things they will probably use a lot. John is a pretty solid detective and has good guessing skills it seems.

Enjoying this episode totally reminded me a game that you should totally play with oxbox called telestrations. It's pictionary mixed with Chinese whispers, which is great because both of those games normally end up in tears of laughter (especially with a little alcohol) and also because it means everyone is playing simultaneously, only stopping to laugh at each other. It's quite expensive on Amazon, but tbf, having played it I'd happily pay up to about £45 for it. Highly recommend, especially for the basis of an episode.
