I met Christian at the stage door after "Something Rotten" and he was AWESOME!!! I was kind of shy and Christian waited until I looked up into his eyes before signing my playbill and he was like, "How are you doing"? Such a great guy!!!!
My one regret is not asking if he had already left the Westside Theater after the "Little Shop" matinee I went to. I saw pretty much everyone. I got to meet Skylar Astin who was absolutely lovely, Tammy Blanchard who was a perfect gem, and Stuart Zagnit who was so sweet. I just wish I could have met Christian and tell him how blown away I was by him in his tour de force as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S et al. After watching him perform from the front row, I am fairly certain there is no role that he cannot crush!
He is incredibly sweet, I agree. We stage doored after Little Shop of Horrors and he was absolutely kind to everyone. What an incredible dentist and the myriad of other characters too! A true Broadway legend and so kind too.
Love this interview so much. Saw him last weekend and he was absolutely incredible and so so sweet and gracious at the stage door. Fingers crossed for him this weekend!
Is Christian Borle a Star Wars fan, just out of curiosity? Star Wars Day is this Monday, and since Christian is playing William Shakespeare, I wonder if he would like the William Shakespeare's Star Wars books by Ian Doescher.
Liana Freeman Then he'd be perfect for a role in any of the William Shakespeare's Star Wars by Ian Doescher if they were ever adapted for the stage. The question is, which role would he want to play the most?
