The progress bar in our use case acts as a visual representation of the current status of a ForAll loop function. This function is set to adjust item prices by either a predetermined percentage or dollar amount, with the newly calculated prices being saved into a data source.
📚 What You'll Need:
Before we begin, ensure you have the following prerequisites:
A Canvas PowerApp with a Gallery designed to display a list of items and their prices.
A data source linked to your PowerApp that will store the details of the items, including their prices.
🎯 What We're Doing:
We're going to execute a few key steps in this tutorial:
Utilizing a ForAll loop to go through each item listed in the Gallery. We'll apply the necessary price change formula and then employ the Patch function to revise the item's price in the data source.
Creating a progress bar that visually communicates the progress of the ForAll loop function while it updates the prices. This bar will initiate at 0% when the price update function kicks off and will culminate at 100% once all items have been updated.
Ensuring that the progress bar accurately reflects the progress of the ForAll loop function. To achieve this, we'll increment the progress bar's value each time an item's price is updated during the ForAll loop execution.
