This is so helpful. This is going to be my second year showing and i am one of those people that gets really nervous for shows and even school presentations. I definatly put pressure on myself and being nervous makes it so much harder to memorize courses. I always forget to drink lots and stay hydrated and these tips were really helpful, cant wait to try them.

the best advice to give to someone with show nerves is to have fun, like you guys said. It makes me remember why I am really doing all of this and gives me confidence to do as well as I can. It kind of lets me have a less competitive and less self conscious state of mind :)

omg the oil thing is soooo true. you can also use peppermint oil on your horses bit to calm them down!

Julia Weiss-Frischling Really focus on your ride and try to stay in the moment! It can be really hard but your concentration will pay off :)
