My First Fitness Model Competition Since Covid - now at the age of 44 years have I still got what it takes to get on stage and walk away with a Trophy? Lets see....
I'm no stranger to stripping off and flexing those Biceps, but this it has been a few years since I competed, and now I'm closer to 45 which is more challenging - so do I still have what it takes?
In March this year (2022) I decided I wanted to compete again to prove to myself, and my RU-vid followers, that I still have the drive and motivation to push myself to the limit and get my body fat down to zubzero figures to be good enough for stage.
My journey began on March 7th (one day before my 44th birthday) and the show was set for October 9th. That gave me 8 months to prepare, which isn't long considered I was weighing 93kg and needed to be around 80kg (see my previous video's where I documented my weight loss)
It was a long hard journey of dieting, training, cardio - steps steps and more steps, as well as working full time for the NHS as a weight loss consultant, and being a full time Dad - so no excuses. Many days in the gym 5am!
However the results were worth it because I manged to take 2nd place in the Ultimate Male Model 35+ catagory earning me a place in the British Final later this month 29th October! Which proves ANYTHING is possible when you put your mind to it
