Show you heart rate on stream with an Apple Watch | Quick Stream Tips

As streamers we always try new and innovative ways to capture our audiences. Adding your heart rate on stream could be a great way to do that. Normally you'd need some expensive bluetooth chest strap for that, but if you own an Apple Watch, there's a much simpler - and cheaper - way of doing things!

Thanks for the tips! Wanted to add a heart rate monitor for my Halloween stream. Heartwitch worked great! Looking forward to watching the numbers spike tonight!

Awesome, very happy to hear this. I used the other method myself the other day on my stream and it worked flawless. Was very clear to see when I just experienced a jump scare and when the game was just regular 😄. Enjoy your stream today! What game are you playing?

can u use this with ob my posh but the issue with apple is heart rate is not continuous

Hi, I’ve managed to get it working, however the window capture with heart rate froze whenever I open my game. So to unfreeze it, I have to keep chrome open and displayed. How?

Hmm normally it should be enough to just have the window captured, it doesn't have to be in focus. Can you try window capturing for instance a RU-vid video to see if playback of that also freezes once you start gaming?

What app is it on the watch? Nobody is saying it and can’t find the screen that you’re displaying on the watch :(

Hey can anyone help me. When I Start the app on my Apple Watch their is a yellow lighting an it is crossed out. Whenever the symbol appears, I don't have a good connection to the Website on my pc.

Are your Apple Watch/iPhone and PC on the same wifi network? Also, make sure that the Apple Watch app has all the required rights in the Apple Health app!

I try to put in the code but all I get back is "The operation couldn't be completed. (HeartwitchKit.Workout Error error 1.) not sure what I'm doing wrong here...I wonder if it had anything to do with a recent watch update.

Unfortunately I haven't had this error, so can't really assist on this. I suggest contacting the developer of Heartwitch to ask for support: heartwitch.app/about#contact-info

It appears the developer of that app has taken it offline a while ago. I’d suggest trying out Heartwich, or - if you’ve already bought the Health Data Server app - using their native tool. On my blog (linked in description) you can find you how you can use that.

This app doesn’t work on my Apple Watch series 3 I believe. I downloaded the app but I cannot find it on the watch app. Doesn’t show up on my watch either.

Do you mean the Health Data Server app? I’d reckon it should work on a series 3 but not too sure. It does require WatchOS 6+ to work though. Do you have that installed?

No it seems like the developer has taken it down... I suggest using the health data server way. More information on that is on my blog (see the link in the description).
