Good examples of how to mix and match certain garments for certain looks . Also, it is a good idea to keep in mind the level of formality (or lack of formality) one will be involved in and the expectation(s) of a given group. One thing I have always done in choosing what garments to buy and wear is ask myself what those in my group would think of my choices and this is always my final deciding factor in what to wear and buy. The result has always been favorable and if you truly value the people in your group, you will always be happy with your choices even if at first you would have preferred to purchase and wear something else.

One of my favourite pieces of clothing ....turtle neck ...look good in many situations .

The shooting jacket looks great Chris. I can't see myself wearing one, but you wear it well. I'd never be without my doublebreasted blazer. Mine has gold coloured buttons and I always feel good wearing it. After watching this video I have decided to invest in some waistcoats. They're a great idea for keeping the chill out while still looking smart.

This was a fun and I really enjoyed seeing your outfits. You're an inspiration Chis. I'm going to have to look at some country waistcoats - perhaps vintage. I particularly admire the houndstooth jacket you wore through most of the video. Can I ask the make of it please as I can't seem to find one that's just right for me. Waistcoats are a great additional to your wardrobe 🙂 Sorry to tell you, but the houndstooth patterned Jacket was bespoke and there is no label inside it. I bought it on a bit of a punt off eBay and found that it was a great fit for me and made exceptionally well 🙁 I'm not sure if that helps you, but good luck with your continued search🙂👍

Nice styles Chris. I usually wear a field jacket with my turtleneck sweaters with either denim jeans or khaki's which I get a lot of compliments on in the fall/winter months. My normal day to day wear is a double breasted suit, either pin strip or a windowpane. I am experimenting with waistcoats, and V-Neck sweaters with an tie.

Great to hear your day-to-day wear is a double-breasted suit and that you are experimenting with waistcoats and V-neck sweaters with a tie. Something to also consider wearing instead of a waistcoat is using a sleeveless jumper or a thin cardigan with your suit😊 thanks for your support for the channel👍

Hi Mo, the grey jacket is based upon a shooting jacket, giving extra detail in the pockets, shoulder and detailing😊

Excellent content, Chris. Eight different attire elements but almost thirty variations showing how versatile the staple garment range in a man's wardrobe can be depending on what you put with them. The tweed sports jacket you are wearing throughout this presentation is a perfect example. Point of interest: At 0:52, what make of wristwatch were you were wearing in that youthful shot of you in your service days, and do you still have it?😊

Hi John, lovely to hear from you again. The versatility of these looks is great. I think the watch was by a company called Swatch back in the 80's and this one was called the Jellyfish and I no longer have it. In fact, I think if memory services, I bought a second one following the demise of the first and both eventually died. That photo was taken back in 1985 👍🤣😊

Good morning Chris a very good video hope your cold picks up. Thank you for your best wishes about my new job. Used one of your looks tweed jacket and waistcoat, chinos and tie, so it was a semi formal look but thanks to yourself it worked. I love the quirky jacket at the end and would love to know where you purchased it if you don't mind me asking.

Hi there, thanks for hoping my cold picks up, it's a lot better now thanks. Great to hear you were successful, but whilst dressing well helps in an interview, it still comes down to how well you put yourself across and that was down to you. I acknowledge that if a person feels good about themselves, it helps. Hi Stephen, the jacket at 9:30 minutes is based upon a traditional shooting jacket, it was a fortuitous find on eBay, but originally from H&M, the look sold it to me😊👍
