Episode #16 - The Moonrise Towers & Prison Escape: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B7DUrAxkpaw.html Remember that your likes, view time, comments and subscriptions all help spread this video around! Welcome to the longest, biggest episode we've done yet. In fact, we get so much done that I couldn't pick a single topic easily. If you look at the video description, you'll see a summation of our adventure here. After our first community vote, Gale initially was winning when I began. Around 46 minutes in I believe, we bring in Wyll with our first Fighter / Warlock multiclass to make him into a proper Blade of the Frontiers.
A three and a half hour episode bro. I know you are a legend, but this is already above and beyond a legend, from the bottom of my heart, brother, thank you very much, bless you🫡🫡🫡
Honestly, this is the only playthrough I watch. Its the absolute best considering both roleplay and gameplay. No other can compete with this playthrough.
LOL, crushed Wyll's heart and then he walked face first into some trees, LOL. What a perfect end to a wonderful day! If you pause it at just the right moment, you can pinpoint the moment when Wyll's heart breaks and he loses all hope for happiness. XD
Three and a half hours of edrahil goodness. This is pure enjoyment, getting snacks and a fresh bottle of water, comfy sofa do not disturb sign on the door, Landlines cable unplugged. Jup everything is ready for a fun watching. Thanks for the Video an your efforts as always.
Man, I have a hard time choosing which highlight is best from this episode! For starters, the fact that you had the option to convince the doctor and his nurses to kill themselves was incredible. Edrahil must’ve been proud of himself. Also, it was interesting to see Arabella essentially experience her own adventurer “origin story,” as it’s clear she has become a Sorcerer. Finally, Halsin is freaking amazing! I really look forward to seeing more of him, and you should definitely bring him when you attack Moonrise. Keep up the good work!
I'm glad you enjoyed that conclusion! I love it when games allow options like that. It just adds so much to the story and feeling. We had plenty of battles to make up for not fighting him.
3.5 hours?! You are not messing around! Thank you so much for keeping to this incredible schedule. It's the best playthrough I've ever followed and my favourite of yours since the days of Korgal in Skyrim.

Good job as always Surreal. 3 hours of this is a treat of course, but I imagine it's a pain in the butt to edit and what's not so take a moment to rest. Can't exact vengeance if we're mentally fatigued can't we? On another note, that Oliver boss fight was so boring imo. He kept summoning multiple low hp mooks only to get smacked by Edrahil and friends. You'd think he summon something a bit tougher but nope. 5 rounds of free exp I guess.
Halsin is probably my favourite companion. Not only is he an absolute unit in combat, he's also one of the most chill to hang out with. Once I recruited him, I had him in the party for a good proportion of the remainder of Act 2, mainly from the RP rational that he feels partly responsible for the Curse, so it's only fair to give him a chance to put things right. It's also fun to see how Edrahil is a fan of a technique our DnD party called the Paladin Knock; aka "Who needs a rogue when you've got 20 STR, a +1 greatsword and enough HP to tank most traps?"
I legit got excited af when I saw Surrel dropped the next video for Baldurs Gate. AND it's 3 hours. This will carry me through the rest of my work day. Thanks man lol
The way you handled the fight by the river is *chefs kiss* I used a wall of fire and several fireballs. It was a tough fight because they attacked the portal from ranged.
I've been a subscriber since TW Warhammer 1 came out, and this series is turning out to be one of the most fun ones. Great job! and thanks for the hours of entertainment.
loving this series man its genuinely the best one i've seen so far. love that you check every nook and cranny of everything in this game and i think i've heard that you used to DM so it makes sense. keep it up! I really look forward to these!
Can I just say that I love the way you put armor and clothing on the side characters. It really feels like their leveling up and actually mastering the class you give them. I think this is a very underrated way highlight of your content. Astarion and Gale are my personal favorites. Great job man!
Do not forget Wyll's side quest before meeting Wyll's father, personally hoping Wyll be back in human form. Also, do continue the Rafael's and "He Who Was" side story line.
@@SurrealBeliefs oh man, so after seen your video I watch others' play and turn out if Sister Lidwin spared, she will become a Equipment & Supply store for you. Lastly, an idea. Remember when you kill the goblin and hide the body in crate? Wonder any different out come would be if same procedure on tiefling parents' remain and send to the camp for Arabella's side story?
Hope you had a good trip. Took me three tries to save Isobel yesterday. They just beeline straight for her every time and Marcus kept winning saving throws and getting some nasty hits in on her. Did the ambush and took the moon lantern and got into the square where the Harpers are. That's where I stopped yesterday.
Man what an episode, and I really hope we see Arabella later, maybe in Baldur's Gate or who knows, maybe a future DLC? Also, that build for Halsin makes him a UNIT, holy hell, and not to mention his equipment. Can't wait for the next episode
why do i kinda like the fact that Halsin just likes to carve wooden ducks, which instantly made me think of Hugh Neutron from Jimmy newtron. just kinda like the whole " i like ducks" and the way that halsin says it
Surreal: *takes one extra day to release episode after a vacation* Also Surreal: *uploads 3 episodes worth of content in one” Your work ethic is incredible!
Wow, that was a blast! Loved to see some Blade of Frontiers action, and a sneak peak of what's to come with Halsin. One thing that would be fun using on some tough future combat is that Ogre war horn you got back at the blighted village.
@SurrealBeliefs True. I am just a softy, I guess. But sometimes it is best to set clear boundaries early on. Otherwise, you get accused of leading someone on or something. edrahil seems to be the type to understand that.
You've inspired me to start a halfling or gnome/paladin character called Edrahil Junior, with alll the heart and none of the height. I might also lower the charisma/strength stats so all the persuasion/intimidation/strength dice rolls fail adorably.
Larian should really be commended on their excellent level design. Everything is huge and detailed and you always seem to find something interesting around every corner.
Some people did warn that taking long rests during time sensitive quests could result in some people already being dead by the time you find them. I wonder if there was any way to find those tieflings still alive.
Edrahil the breaker of hearts, the way this is going Halsin is going to meet the same fate as our dear dancer Wyll!!!! Shadowheart is such a great romantic choice and the way that she gets gradually more attached can only be described as cute!!!! Really interested in that
Interesting idea shrouding the portal in darkness. Logically it shouldn't be possible when something glows so brightly. 😄 What helped me beat this fight was Gale casting a sleet storm making all those undead go prone so they couldn't reach the portal nor shoot at it. I love everything about spells and magic in this game. From the fact that they had each voice actor actually record the incantations for each spell (instead of using generic female and male voices for them) to the beautiful animations and effects. The spirit guardians spell for instance, it's little angels of light circling the cleric, isn't it? How beautiful! I'd like to see more of Halsin and Gale in your party and how their classes possibly complement each other. I barely played the druid, so it would be nice to learn from watching you play him. I have my party composition (paladin, wizard, cleric, ranger) that I find hard to deviate from, but I want to play with other classes too. Need some nice tips and tricks.
I wish I did use more AoE admittedly. Sleet storm is a great move. I think sometimes I go overboard with conserving spell slots. I'll bring more Halsin -- I just wish Larian put more work into the non-Origin companions.
Quick tip regarding dismissing spells: There's a little icon to the bottom left of character's icons for dismissing the spell they're concentrating on. At the end of the morgue battle, Karlach could dismiss the Wall of Fire and Wyll could dismiss the Evard's Black Tentacle.
LMAO I do believe that ALL of your current companions have made a pass at Edrahil now. That's hilarious 🤣 Well done sir!!! I've been wondering where that Shadowblade Ring is acquired from...now I know 😃
So, let's examine the logic of Withers. One should disdain the flesh, for in time, all becomes dust and bone. Hmm. Seems to me, that's a great reason to exalt the flesh, while it is here.
Another brilliant vid and i am 29 mins into vid but i had a thought how about multi-classing shadowheart into paladin with two levels so she has access to divine smite because you hit with her a lot and thank you for the super long vid
the battle vs the doc comes with a easy cheese. light of lathander blinds undead, turn undead hurts all undead that can see the caster..you can turn on and of the light and their blindness without any action. it works multiple times a turn...on of on of..fits with karlachs inspiration and his nonsense talk about light and darkness^^
